About David Sinkbeil
Kelly and Dave recently retired from their most recent full-time jobs in Lakewood, Colorado for the past 11 years. Now Kelly enjoys quilting, painting and reading in her spare time. Dave enjoys all types of hunting and fishing in both fresh and salt water plus they both enjoy playing bocce ball, golf, board games like Ticket To Ride and pinochle. We both love to travel and spend much of their vacation time exploring new parts of the world including going on 3 Viking River Boat Cruises. Because we have lived in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and South Dakota over 10 years in each, we can help you plan your vacation whether it is a hunting or fishing trip, family reunion or just to sight-see we know many beautiful places that are a must to see in the northwestern US. Just give us a call and we will be happy to help you plan your trip to Montana and the surrounding area.
David Sinkbeil purchased this House in 2001
Why David Sinkbeil chose White Sulphur Springs
We purchased this property in 2001 to live in it full time as you can't find property like this any more with hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, hiking, etc. out your door in the middle of 2 million acres of National Forest. You can't imagine how peaceful and quite it is here and you definitely won't want to leave and go back to the hustle and bustle of city life and the traffic and noise, etc. But right after we moved into the house, we were both offered a long term job in Denver so we packed up our clothes and turned it into a vacation home as we said we can't sell it because we would never find another piece of property like it again. Then after we retired in the fall of 2017 we moved full-time into the house again for only a year at which time we decided to be snow birds wintering in Arizona but coming back in the summer and fall months between guests.
What makes this House unique
We feature 8 total beds with 1 king, 5 queens, and 2 twin beds with extra blow-up beds for kids in 7 private bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. There is a very large common area (the kitchen, living room and dining room are all together) for your group to enjoy all getting together with 3 dining tables and plenty of couches for everyone to relax. You can sit in front of the large picture windows that face south and enjoy the 300 days of sunshine and curl up with a good book. Our guests have used our home for weddings, 50th wedding anniversaries, large family reunions, a base camp for elk and deer hunting and/or trout fishing, hiking/mountain biking, and a home base to travel and explore Yellowstone and Glacier National parks and other great sights in west central Montana. If you like to ski, there is both downhill and cross-country skiing just 10 minutes away at Showdown Ski Resort or you can enjoy the Kings Hill Snowmobile Trail System with 300 miles of trails for snowmobiling right out the door. The back yard has a great fire pit where you can sit around in the evenings and roast marsh mellows or just enjoy the fire as the evenings get very cool after the sun goes down, even in the heat of the summer months. But then the special part is after dark, you will be able to gaze into the sky and see MORE STARS than you have ever seen in your life, including the Milky Way and many constellations and planets that many people that live in large cities have never seen before. Be careful walking outside in the dark as we have NO light pollution and if you are lucky, you might even catch the Northern Lights.

This place was perfect! Couldn’t ask for a better time to spend with family and friends!
We rented this place for my wife’s birthday. We should up and it was perfect! Couldn’t not have asked for a better place to spend with family and friends. We were able to go cross Country skiing, head into to town for dinner and the hot springs. We hung out and played board games, stayed in and cooked. We did everything that we wanted to do!
Great stay in a great cabin!
Dave's house was awesome and perfect for a group. Plenty of bedrooms to spread out and an entire floor to enjoy together time. Dave was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. Will definitely be back.
Large house in a lovely woods
We stayed here for an elk hunt. We stay each year somewhere in western/central Montana, and decided to try somewhere new. This cabin was a perfect location and had all the room we needed, as well as great facilities. It was a little cold to enjoy the firepit, but we made great use of the wood stove inside! Met a neighbor who was helpful and friendly. Dave was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.
The Perfect Retreat
Sunrise lodge has the perfect set up for gatherings. It is set in the picturesque Lewis and Clark National Forest and boasts hiking ( or ATV) trails from the property. We enjoyed a relaxing week with 2 couples joining us for 3 days of it. The accommodations were clean and comfortable with all amenities. Although there is no cell reception, WiFi kept us connected. Dave was an excellent communicator and we had a lovely time.
Great cabin, location, communication! Everything! Perfect! Thank you so much!
