Gorgeous Property, Perfect Location

This was one of the best stays we've had in recent memory. The property is beautiful, perfectly located, and the entire experience extremely well managed. The communication with the property owner/ manager was incredible; from having firewood delivered to trash pickup when the roads were snow covered. The house is extremely well stocked with high end furnishings; quality kitchen essentials and cozy living and dining areas. The bathrooms were clean and luxurious. Check-in and out was well-explained. The owner/ manager was so well organized that there was a binder with check-in/ out instructions, nearby restaurants, restaurants that deliver to the area, and even instructions for the hot tub. We could not have had a better experience. I highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed!

Family holiday & sweet 16

We had a home in the area until 2017 from 1973. We felt like we came home in your home, which is beautiful and fully equipped for entertaining We felt so welcome as we opened the door to all the holiday decorations I loved setting the table every night differently. My granddaughter who is a master baker found almost everything she needed to create her creations. Your home has an amazing view. We enjoyed a glass of wine looking out at amazing sunsets. We look forward to coming back to use the fire pit and hot tub. There was ample tables to play games in front of roaring fires making memories. The decor is inviting and comfortable. We thank you for making everything welcoming & seamless.

Fantastic Thanksgiving in the Mountains!

We had a great stay at Hillcrest for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The house is very spacious with plenty of room for our group of 9 to spread out. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked for holiday cooking and had everything you could possibly need to cook for a large group. The host was very helpful and the instructions were crystal clear. Linville Ridge is a beautiful neighborhood. With the golf course being closed for the season, we were able to walk the entire course (the highest golf course east of the Mississippi).The house is a quick drive to Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk and Grandfather Mountain, and convenient to Boone & Blowing Rock. We were able to spend some time huddled in the house (with wood fireplaces) and still got to enjoy the area for shopping and dinners. We highly recommend the house and location.

Winter Wonderland!

Our family enjoyed a beautiful Christmas at this home - complete with snow! We had a marvelous week - with the house being perfect for family time. It was comfortable and cozy, complete with wood burning fireplaces, and even an 11' real Christmas tree that the owner had delivered before our arrival. All in all, we made lots of memories at this home! We highly recommend it for any family getaway!

Beautiful Location

Everything was wonderful! Fantastic communication, weather turned out crazy and we did have the need to contact the property owner a few times and they responded within minutes and were more than accommodating. The home is absolutely beautiful and well maintained, I would definitely stay again.

Perfect Large Family Get-together Home!

Perfect house and location

The house is amazing. It is so spacious and comfortable with an extensive and well-equipped kitchen, and a large dining table that enabled the whole family to sit together for meals. The fire place was easy to use and drew everyone together in the evenings. It was the perfect place for a rare and special family gathering. Thank you!

Must go!

There is a lot to say. Starting with the owner. Very kind, helpful and prepared to provide you with a great experience. Check in was easy... actually we came in and it was all prepared. Get the keys (touchless) and go to go! House is amazing. Location is perfect. On the top of the hill of this beautiful gated community in Linville and just a few mins of Sugar Mountain and Grandfather. Golf course is 2 min walk away. House is comfortable, spacious, kitchen well equipped, laundry was handy. Enough space for three families w/ 2 kids each. And there was a DEN to use for some last min work stuff.. Had a wonderful and cozy XMas in front of the fireplace while outside was snowing. In summer the experience should be as good as winter.

Hidden Mold/Falsely accused of stealing

Pros- the house is beautiful ans the location is great. Cons- owner attempted to hide a mold issue which caused some guests difficulty breathing. Found mold remover hidden under the beds etc. After our stay, we informed owner of a few small items that we accidentally broke. However owner accused us and charged us for a hole in couch and a missing Xbox controller that we had nothing to do with. Even after telling owner it was not us, she didn’t want to hear it and said it was definitely us. When asked about the mold, owner denied it, which leads me to question her character. Great house but owner not fair in her dealings.

Perfect Thanksgiving

Our extended family spent Thanksgiving at Hillcrest and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The property is well appointed, very clean, and has every amenity. The owner promptly answered all of my questions both prior to and during our stay. As an avid cook, I usually find rental kitchens Ill equipped, but this spacious kitchen made preparing Thanksgiving dinner easy. The owner provided firewood, making it easy to enjoy both the wood burning fireplace and outdoor fire pit. I highly recommend this property

Fabulous Getaway Home in Linville, NC

We so enjoyed our Girl’s Special Getaway at this fabulous home in Linville, NC. Six of us travelled up to Linville, NC to celebrate birthdays. Everything about this home is beautiful, warm, welcoming, comfortable......I could go on and on. We were able to prepare meals in the well appointed kitchen. Each morning we enjoyed our coffee out on the covered patio with a stunning view of the mountains. We also enjoyed our evening cocktail outside on the patio. The was plenty of comfortable space inside to gather together to watch movies or play cards. At the same time there were also plenty of areas to be quietly alone. Each bedroom and bath was so comfortably appointed. Nice towels, blankets, quilts, pillows, etc. As much as we enjoyed being in this fabulous home, we also enjoyed venturing out for shopping and dinner The owners were very easy to communicate with. Before our arrival they were quick to respond to any of our questions. We didn’t need to contact them after our arrival because everything was spelled out clearly in a notebook. We would definitely recommend staying here. 5+ stars.
