This charming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house is located on a serene 1/2 acre, privately gated, property in the heart of beautiful Playa Avellanas.

Each bedroom has its own Queen sized bed, with 1500 count Egyptian cotton sheets, ice cold AC, Flatscreen Television with Apple TV, streaming and Netflix, strong WiFi, and lots of lovely local art and ambience throughout.

There is a fully equipped kitchen, and living room with a third television and entertainment area with sofa bed, a dining area, and a beautiful teak table and benches, as well as 3 extra large incredibly comfortable hammocks to choose from.

This is the perfect place for complete and total relaxation. The entire property is very safe, quiet, peaceful & secure.

Enjoy gorgeous beach walks and breath taking sunsets, incredible swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, fishing, golf, wildlife viewing, bird watching and so much more.

Your reservation includes paid exclusive beach access through neighboring Cabinas Las Olas, and their world famous mangrove boardwalk.

It is only a short walk to the beach out front, as well as lots of local restaurants, bars, groceries and shops. Rental cars are not necessary. Transfers from Liberia airport (LIR), and taxis can all be easily arranged for you. Get out and adventure with a large variety of local tours.

There are two other rental houses on this property as well, all private and separate, and sharing the same gate.

From our initial arrival, Ben was extremely welcoming and helpful. The property feels safe and is in a fabulous location for access to a stunningly beautiful beach. Ben set us up with easy beach access via the property across the street. We loved their restaurant and ate their several times. It was fun being amongst the howler monkeys! We spent 2 days on the beach and had reserved Lola’s restaurant at sunset (incredible!) and then booked beach chairs there the next day and enjoyed the amenities. Ben checked in on us several times and wanted to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. He even offered to be on hand if any quandaries popped up in our next location during our stay in Costa Rica. The property is rustic and gives a jungle-like experience.

What a beautiful hidden gem this is! Ben is the most gracious and kind host you could ever wish for who truly delights in his guests’ happiness. He has an amazing lush and serene property that is walking distance from a stunning soft sand beach with consistent waves for all to enjoy. The house was lovely. It is a mix of a rustic experience with touches of luxury sprinkled throughout. It is clear that Ben takes pride in his property. Enough outdoor hammocks for each of us, incredible stone bathroom, a/c units in the bedrooms for a cool night of sleep. The area is lovely. People with carts selling snow cones on the beach, a mix of upscale and typical restaurants with a relaxed feel throughout. We hope to return one day.

Great Treehouse

We stayed at the treehouse for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The location is very close to the beach and local shops/restaurants. Ben was very good at getting back to me for anything we needed. Loved having the host cats hang out with us.

Great Beach Getaway!

Me and a small group stayed at both places on Ben's property. The accommodations were nice for what I have experienced in Costa Rica. The property was a short walk to the beach and Ben's was a very responsive host!

Another great visit!

We love staying here! It is a little rustic, but the location is awesome and it has everything you need to make meals and enjoy your time in the dry jungle! It was the perfect place to stay for our surf trip. The cats are very sweet and made my stay even better!

A week in paradise

We began communicating with Ben several months out before our vacation. He was very prompt in responding and answered any and all questions for us. When we arrived, everything was set up and ready for us. It was very enjoyable. This is not a five star hotel room, but very accommodating, very close to a wonderful beach and within driving distances of shops and restaurants. It was a great place to stay. If you do go, you must at least take a nap in the hammocks. They are wonderful.

Wonderful host!!

We really loved our stay at the treehouse, and Ben was a wonderful host. It was a perfect place to have two small families stay on the same property but in separate houses. The beach wasn’t far and Ben was very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and also in setting up our airport transportation. We had a wonderful Christmas vacation!

Surf and chill at Avellana Beach

Great time in Avellanas!

Stayed here with 3 others and found the location to be very accommodating. The location fit our needs with respect to private parking, security, and location to the beach. We were also able to cook meals in the kitchen which added to the convenience. Avellanas is a great beach town and the beach was a short walk away. It was nice lounging around in the hammock and enjoying the scenery. I would gladly go back.

The hammocks were so nice and relaxing. There was even monkeys and parrots in the yard. The beach was magnificent and we really had a great time. I can’t say enough nice things. Ben was such a great host. We will be back!

Worth it.

Really enjoyed this tree house. Ben was a great host! He was very responsive to our questions and had great tips for what to do in the area. The actual house comfortably slept the four of us and had ample room for us to lounge and enjoy the weather. I had a great time traveling in Costa Rica, and this location was my favorite!

Private Near beach

Property was very secure and private. Great place to relax and just chill for a couple of days. Not 5 star accommodations but clean and comfortable. Ben was super nice and very helpful. Plenty of restaurants and a convenience store close by.

Great Location

property, great people , great food - love the fruit- papaya and mango , great Country. Loved the Howler monkeys the most . Also enjoyed the Iguanas and Costa Rican Squirrels. Ben was a good person to rent from - very helpful.

A Rustic Wonderland!

The lodging is perfectly fine for a beach vacation, Ben makes the overall experience a 5+! We had a minor issue upon check in, which Ben remedied with sincere apologies. The beaches are beautiful and the upper level deck was a great hang out spot where we spent evenings reminiscing about our childhood. If you are looking for a beach vacation with the basics AND nature at its finest, the tree house is the place for you. Thank you Ben, Chachi and Yoko!

Great vibe!

We were spoiled with getting to see 10 howler monkeys in the tree outside the treehouse. Our main objective was to be at the beach as much as possible. We either walked or drove the short distance. Plenty of local food options between the house and beach. Felt close to nature with the sounds and sightings of birds, geckos, monkeys , iguanas and resident cats.
