Overview

About the property

At the turn of the century my great grandfather and grandmother, George and Golda Scott, purchased this farm.

In 1963, when my father graduated from Ohio State with a degree in agriculture, Great grandpa George gave him and my mother this farm.

My parents farmed this (along with about 900 other acres) and raised three daughters here.

After my parents’ death in 2004 and 2005, I, Dalelene, that middle daughter, and my husband, Dave, and our youngest daughter bought the farm and relocated here from Lancaster. We are so happy to live here.

After living “back home” for five years, we decided to use this beautiful farm for more than just a residence.

The George and Goldie CabinWe thought that others would enjoy our 80 acres. So, with the help of Ron White Builders, we built our first cabin to allow others to experience the calmness, serenity, and solitude of our family farm. We named this first cabin after my great grandparents, George and Golda (I called her Grandma Goldi) Scott; the George and Goldi.

We hope you enjoy the property and remember with fondness, your time here.

Great weekend getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

Had a great weekend at the cabin. Place was just as pictures shown. This place have a great view from the front porch. The cabin is a hidden gem and I am so glad I found it. The owners are every friendly and are every quick to respond to any questions. Close to Athens and not to far from Hocking Hills. The Redbones loved running around the property and loved walking through Hocking Hills. We will be planning another trip to come back and hopefully for a longer stay.

Thanks for a good time,

William, Shannon, Reba, and Copper

Very relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

My fiancé and I stayed at this cabin over the 4th of July weekend and it was amazing! The views from the cabin are great and it's very secluded. The hot tub is also very nice to get in at night after a long day! The only downfall is that it is about a 40 minute drive to the Hocking Hills area. We were fine with it because we would rather be secluded and we will definitely be back!

We didn't have a chance to write in their guest log because we were too busy having fun, but they did give us some Zucchini bread when we got there which was fantastic!

Hands down would recommend!

It was very secluded and private which was lovely.

My husband and I spent a few days here for a belated anniversary. It's very close to Hocking Hills and other State parks. We really enjoyed our stay. It was clean, well kept, and private. The hot tub we very nice to sit in after a very long day of hiking. My only suggestions would be to add WiFi to the cabin. If you don't know your way around the area and need to google places it would be very helpful. Other than that I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone!

Great getaway

  • 4 of 5

Location was great. Privacy. Awesome hot tub. Clean. Friendly. Great view. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the kitchen was lacking some essentials like paper towels, steak knives, and cutting board. That being said we had a great time and would highly recommend this place to anyone and will for sure be back!
