Overview

About the property

At the turn of the century my great grandfather and grandmother, George and Golda Scott, purchased this farm.

In 1963, when my father graduated from Ohio State with a degree in agriculture, Great grandpa George gave him and my mother this farm.

My parents farmed this (along with about 900 other acres) and raised three daughters here.

After my parents’ death in 2004 and 2005, I, Dalelene, that middle daughter, and my husband, Dave, and our youngest daughter bought the farm and relocated here from Lancaster. We are so happy to live here.

After living “back home” for five years, we decided to use this beautiful farm for more than just a residence.

The George and Goldie CabinWe thought that others would enjoy our 80 acres. So, with the help of Ron White Builders, we built our first cabin to allow others to experience the calmness, serenity, and solitude of our family farm. We named this first cabin after my great grandparents, George and Golda (I called her Grandma Goldi) Scott; the George and Goldi.

We hope you enjoy the property and remember with fondness, your time here.

Solitude at its best.

  • 4 of 5

Two days of peace and quiet surrounded by the beauty of nature. Enjoyed visits to the state parks and the local eateries. Our host was very personable and accommodating.

2 night getaway

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful inside and out. Comfortable furnishings and a friendly welcome. I would recommend and use this property again. Between 7:30 - 8:00 both nights had two deer 🦌 feeding along the gravel access road. Sunsets from the front porch and a sunrise from the back porch were both beautiful.

Wonderful Peaceful cabin on a hill

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is fantastic. It's like a little piece of Heaven. High on a hill overlooking beautiful Ohio farm land. Quiet and secluded and with wonderful charm. We enjoyed sitting on the front deck and watching the sunset, and the amazing view of the stars at night. Cabin was very comfortable and had everything a person could ask for. Would definitely stay at the Stafford cabins again.
