Why Marsha Strobel chose Trenton
I wanted a mountain property with large windows and even larger mountain views. This home had both, plus. I lived in this area until the 5th grade and still have family here. I just love it. I'm at home.

Even better than the pictures
This place is amazing. The views are more incredible than the pictures even begin to show. From the moment my wife and daughter and I pulled up we were in awe of the views into the canyon. Once inside, the house was even better than we had imagined, too. The views from inside are awesome but the home itself felt like home. We were very comfortable the whole week. There was almost anything we could have needed already available. A quick run to the grocery store set us up for the week. Chattanooga was a 20-30 minute drive away which felt like nothing because you could enjoy the scenery during the drive.
Marsha was extremely responsive to my questions after booking and laid out everything we needed to be able to enjoy our stay without having to bother her. I really appreciated that and it made the trip that much more enjoyable.
I can say enough good things about this place. We really did not want to leave because it made us feel so welcomed and at home.
Thank you very much for the wonderful review. We are so glad that everything was good for you and that your visit went so well. Please, remember us for future travels and thank you again.
Great getaway - beautiful house with a beautiful view!
We cannot say enough positive things about this rental/house! It was very clean, very well maintained, and had plenty of room for my family of 5! We enjoyed visiting the surrounding Chattanooga area (Rock City, Ruby Falls) and even made a one day trip up to Oliver Springs to do ATV riding (my teenage/adult kids all loved by the way!). Chattanooga is a quick 20 minute trip to the attractions and downtown where we enjoyed trying many restaurants (Puckett's was our favorite!). Marsha was very welcoming and her house is just gorgeous! Trenton is a cozy little town with the typical fast food restaurants and a few sit down restaurants (we tried Thatcher's BBQ - highly recommend the BBQ potatoes!). I would highly recommend this house if you are looking for a clean, spacious place to get away! Thank you Marsha for your hospitality!
Thank you for such a glowing review. You are welcome to come back anytime.
Ideal Mountain Retreat
Property was everything I expected. Large, well furnished rooms, fully equipped kitchen and a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Mountain top location is private and quiet, but reasonably close to amenities.
Not a lot in Trenton itself, but Ingles Market does provide a large, well supplied grocery store.
Great place to stay!! We plan to return!!
We enjoyed our four-night stay in this mountain home. The home is quite spacious and we were sold when we saw that it had two king sized beds, as we had three generations, the grandparents, the Mom and Dad and the kids. We decided that it was well worth the 30-minute drive to Chattanooga in order to have more room, a whole house, rather than two hotel rooms.
We were impressed that the roads leading up the mountain were not the normal one-way extremely curvy roads that we have faced on other mountain adventures. The roads up the mountain were two- lane and in some places, they have passing lanes.
Trenton is the little town at the foot of the mountain. The town has grocery stores, drug stores and some good eating places. We ate at the town square at Thacker’s Bar-B-Q. It was quite good. We also ate at the Mexican restaurant in the square which was good.
The owner recommended the Canyon Grill at Lookout Mountain, in Rising Fawn Georgia. It was fabulous. Two of us had the special pork tenderloin, which was the best that we had ever tasted. Even my picky eater six-year-old grandson was helping me eat the pork tenderloin. My husband enjoyed the rib eye steak and my daughter enjoyed the chicken. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and she had the berries and cream for dessert, which she described as amazing. My son-in-law and I shared an apple-bourbon bread pudding that was fabulous. We will visit the Canyon Grill again when we go back to Chattanooga.
We will also stay in this house again if given the opportunity.
Gorgeous view, gorgeous house, gorgeous weekend
We loved our time at this home. The pictures actually undersold it considerably. It was much bigger than we expected in every room, and the views from the porch were unbelievable. The pictures of the views don't do justice to the magnitude and depth of the valley, and the sunrise/sunsets were spectacular. We mostly stayed at the house, but went into Chattanooga a few times. Because of our schedule we'd anticipated needing a well appointed kitchen, and it certainly is. Very easy to work in there, too. Marsha was very responsive to all my questions as well. (and there were many) We will definitely stay here again!
Cloudland Canyon State Park is just minutes away. Chickamauga Battle Field 30 minutes. Rock City, Ruby Falls, the Incline and Nick-A-Jack Lake 30 min. Chattanooga and all it has to offer 25 min.
