Un gran porche cubierto frente a arces altos mientras escucha los arroyos de temporada que corren a cada lado de la casa o también puede sentarse en el porche cubierto y hacer una barbacoa.

Another wonderful stay on North Mountain. Clean, welcoming and love the screened porch! Kitchen is well equipped and beds are comfortable. Easy check-in - directions were emailed. Lockbox is just inside the screen door near the grill. We will be back

The house was exactly what we were looking for. It was comfortable and close to all of our favorite places in Sullivan county. We enjoyed the screened in porch for relaxing and the bedroom configurations worked great for our family. We hope to come back again soon.

Family quiet vacation

We loved the enclosed porch. The kitchen is where we spent a lot of time eating a lot of home cooked meals. There was plenty of kitchen stuff to use to make basically whatever meal you wanted, which was nice. Opening the windows did help to keep the house cool, even on a high 80’s day, which was great because I had been worried about no AC, but this wasn’t a problem at all. We were a little taken aback by the smell of the house, smelt a bit musty and couldn’t seem to get rid of the smell, even with opening the windows.Also, noticed a bunch of dead flies around the windows in the bedroom we slept in and several bees that seemed to be getting in somehow. It is an old farmhouse so I do realize that there will be some of that! Overall, we had a good stay. I would just recommend that you keep in mind that it is an old farmhouse and comes with the quirks of an old farmhouse,( which the owners did state in the listing(.

I badly needed rest and down time. this is exactly what I got. The porch was an excellent place to sit and read and nap. the babbling brook next to the house added to the pleasantness and relaxation.

Great stay

This property is close to World’s End and Ricketts Glen State Parks, great hiking experiences. We enjoyed the screened in porch area listening to nature.

Non-stay

Power was out due to a storm the day before. Weren’t notified that power was still out the next afternoon and we had driven 250 miles. No water either as house has a well pump. Couldn’t flush toilets. Called owner who wanted us to call electric company and VRBO. While waiting for call backs-over 2 or more hours, went looking for games to occupy kids. Found more droppings on mantle, on kitchen chest, and in multiple drawers in living room. Only good thing was I received a full refund but then had a 5 1/2 hour drive back home.

Rustic Farm house

Old farm house quality and charm. Definitely a warm weather destination. Cold and rainy weekend in a house with no heat was a little challenging, but I grew up in the area and I know it is not a 5 star hotel stay. It was more like tent camping and all that goes with it. House is historically very interesting due to its age. It was a fun adventure.

Beautiful fall weekend

We've stayed here before, and coming back was like coming home. Our weather was cold and rainy, but the house is warm and inviting. We were able to hike in the rain and are super grateful that there is a place for us in the Endless Mountains.

The minute I walked into the kitchen it brought so many memories of my grandmothers kitchen growing up the farmhouse was the best choice for my 38th wedding anniversary we used the screened in porch for a beautiful Steak dinner and relax by the cozy fire went to High Knob for lunch the next day and love the way to the place going by Worlds End the rain did not stop us at all came back to farmhouse and rest is history Thank You for a Beautiful Farmhouse experience

Relaxing and Quiet

The farmhouse was extremely relaxing in a beautiful mountain setting. The porch was our favorite spot with the sound of the creak and birds; we spent a lovely rainy afternoon chilling and reading. We also enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings watching the stars. The location is also perfect to access Worlds End to hike the trails. Overall it was exactly the trip we hoped it would be. And the best part was we were able to bring our dog with us.

Peaceful getaway in the mountains

We enjoyed our second stay in this beautiful old farmhouse just as much as the first! We loved our daily breakfasts on porch listening to the babbling creek. It's the perfect escape into the quiet serenity of the mountains. Close enough for day trips around the area but far enough away from every day life to reconnect our little family.

Enjoyed Our Stay!

Property manager was responsive and allowed us to extend our stay on short notice. The house was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Beds were comfortable and clean. Directions to find the property were helpful, but the bridge closed in Sonestown may confuse anyone not familiar with the area. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Pretty easy to find. Very nice place to unwind alittle. We got in touch with nature for sure. Made some great memories (first time my entire family and their significant other went on vaction). Made my heart full seeing them put their phones down and talk to one another and play a bunch of games!! Other than a storm knocking out the electric for about an hour..which was a blessing because we could only play some games..but owners were very fast to respond and keep me updated on things. Wonderful weekend!!!

Relaxing Farmhouse Getaway

My husband & I truly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. It was a great home base from which we could hike with our dog in Ricketts Glen and World’s End and also visit with nearby family. We cooked delicious meals in the ample kitchen and loved the soothing sounds of the creek from the screened porch. We would definitely recommend this 1880’s Sullivan County farmhouse to anyone looking for a peaceful escape.

Peaceful mountain retreat

This older picturesque farmhouse in the mountains was perfect for us to stay at for a family reunion in a neighboring town. The grandkids didn’t even mind that there was no TV reception or internet. The many beds were extremely comfortable, and the huge screened-in porch on the back porch was our favorite place because of the stream by it.

Endless Mountains for the win

I have been coming to the mountains since infancy. My grandfather's cabin is about a 5 minute drive from this location and we had a fantastic adventure reliving old times and relaxing in the wilderness. We will definitely do it again. The house was rustic and perfect for what we needed.

Beauty and serenity at it’s best

Quiet beautiful location. Feels like you are back in the old days. The screened-in porch feels like you are in a treehouse. So many lovely birds in the woods behind the house. Very comfortable beds too!
