Récemment rénové dans un style de ferme moderne, ce charmant hôtel donne directement sur l’eau et attend que vous déposiez vos bagages, ouvrez la bière, regardiez vers le lac et respiriez les bonnes vibrations.

Garez votre bateau au quai privet, promenez-vous dans les kayaks, amenez les enfants à la plage publique voisine, cuisinez sur le gril ou consultez le menu au Lake of the Woods Clubhouse, juste en bas de la route.

Quand la nuit tombe, les adultes ouvrent le vin et les enfants font griller des guimauves près du foyer crépitant.

The location was quiet and we had an upstairs and downstairs deck that looked out over water. The serenity was much needed and appreciated. Also we are history buffs and loved being near several Civil War battlefields.

Beautiful Property

Very nicely decorated house with direct access to a private dock. Perfect layout for a family with 2-4 kids. We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed the kayaks!

Great Lake property!

Stayed here with friends and our dogs, the property is clean and updated, neighbors are very friendly. The beds need to be upgraded, both mattresses are very thin and the beds are small. Overall, great stay!

Very nice house for a quiet getaway. Gated community gave a nice sense of safety and everyone we encountered when out walking was super friendly. Greatly appreciated this property welcomes pets.

Quaint little home off the lake

We really enjoyed our stay and really wish we could've stayed longer. We didn't get a chance to check out the facilities but would love to come back in the summer when it's a bit warmer.

Perfect Escape

This was our first time to Lake of the Woods and we definitely plan on coming back and staying here! From small details like outlet covers to the cleanliness and friendliness of the host, we couldn't rave about this property more. What a great weekend escape!

My family really enjoyed our week. The house was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The lake is just steps from the back door. My kids really enjoyed just hanging out in the lake. Definitely would recommend this place and would go back again.

Beautiful and Relaxing

Choosing to stay here was an amazing decision!! Sara was an amazing host who was only a message away if I ever needed her or had any questions! The property was beautiful, very clean and the view of the lake was to die for! If considering a stay in this area DONT HESITATE to book with Sara!

Great mini holiday vacation

Perfect little lake front property with all the amenities. Great location with plenty of restaurant choices. Short drive to battlefields with an hour plus drive to Luray Caverns or Washington DC. The gated community is very walkable and pet friendly. Sara was an excellent host and was readily available for any questions.

Lovely Home

The house was very clean and functional with good, useful spaces. Waterfront was okay, though the bottom near the shore was mucky - wear swim shoes (which you should in any lake). Could use water stairs. Community was nice as were all the people we encountered. The clubhouse restaurant was very nice. The golf course bar was pleasant. Very near supermarket and Walmart. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Just What We Needed

This property was exactly as listed with all the amenities included to enjoy a week on the lake. The location was perfect as we could paddle out and watch the sunsets and even paddle to the beach! The host was very easy to contact with questions and the house was very clean welcoming. It was nice to be located near the front gate so grocery runs were quick and efficient. We are a family of 6 plus 1 pup and we felt we had plenty of room to spread out. We will certainly visit again and highly recommend

Nice house

There were not enough dishes or glasses The deck needed extensive cleaning before we could use it The grill was greasy and needs a thorough cleaning. The owner said we could use the kayaks but there were only two complete paddles for the four kayaks. Had we known we would have brought our own. The setting is very nice. We enjoyed the house and the lake and would consider coming back.

Fun but disappointing

The property was a great location and the lake access was so fun. The house wasn’t quite as clean as I would’ve expected but not really problematic. The communication with the property manager wasn’t great, it took multiple calls to get ahold of her and she failed to get us pool passes for our stay. The house is pretty well updated but didn’t have quite as many amenities as the listing mentioned. For example, there was only one tv in the living room and nothing else. Overall, we had a really fun trip but I don’t think I would book this listing again.

Quick Trip Disappointment

The location was great. The kayaks were fun and the neighborhood is amazing.The house COULD be a great place. Some issues were; not enough kitchenware for guests, stained towels, filthy wall in kitchen, outdoor light bulbs out, filthy outdoor chairs, patio and deck, only one bench at the dock to sit on, garage door can open manually only and does not lock (The property manager tried to say the garage was not an amenity, but the kayaks were in the garage and they were. Plus the safety of a non locking door), dirty floors, gutters and landscaping need lots of cleanup and weed whacking, and no toilet paper holder in the half bath. We still made the best of it! Just disappointed after spending so much for such a short stay!

OK - but not great

The location is lovely. The house requires some attention to details. Of the (4) outside lights on the front of the house, only (1) worked. And it was only (1) by the garage vs. the front door. There was no ironing board - though it listed it as being there. The iron leaked and could not be used. There were (3) under cabinet lights in the kitchen but only (1) worked. Back porch only had (1) light working. The ice maker had Very old (solid) block of ice. I dumped it and started over. The refrigerator water filter needed to be changed. The bed and area rug were pushed way off of center and had the rug messed up. I have pictures if needed. Overall, I'd say the maintenance and attention to details was lacking. A bed in the laundry room? Seems odd. This was my first VRBO Not impressed.

Great House & Relaxing Environment

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday. It is a wonderful house with all the amenities. The lake views are a bonus and created such a warm and cozy stay. Highly recommend this property.

Fall getaway

We had a very nice time at Lake of the Woods. The house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the views from the deck and dock. We also ate on the deck at the clubhouse which was wonderful. And had a great time golfing at the beautiful golf course.

More than Perfect

We needed a long term stay and Sara was nothing short of amazing. We relocated to VA in Jan.2022. We needed a flexible landlord understanding we were looking to buy a house so extending might be needed. She was so kind and accommodating. We had our two dogs with us as well, which wasn’t an issue. The house was just lovely. Clean, beautiful view, nice neighbors and great area. General shopping minutes away and historic Fred just 20-25 minutes away for dinner dates and shopping. We grew quite attached to this house during our 2 month stay and enjoyed the frequent visit from that cove’s Swan resident. We are looking forward to spending a weekend getaway soon. I renovated this property in 2018 to be a place that felt open and calming yet cultivated communication with its open floor plan. Its beautiful views, heaps of natural lighting, charming furniture and quite, but friendly neighbors makes it a little slice of heaven.

Chatting away the days and nights on the dock and on the porch are some of the best ways to make memories. Waking up looking at the calming water from the master bedroom view and taking a warm shower in the giant master shower is my kind of self-care.

With the lake so accessible and the beach right around the corner, I hope you and your family get to make the kind of memories my family made with me when I was young.

The house is right on the water, close to the beach and clubhouse and close to the entrance, making it extremely easy to get to and get around. Additionally, the main floor is bright and spacious with modern furniture that fits the space well. It's so easy to relax in this house because there's no clutter and everything feels new.
