About this property
Downtown Hideaway, studio accommodations, in the heart of the Historic District
A little bit about the unit itself and our location . . . The main house is a renovated Victorian circa 1880. This studio is a rear unit with a private entrance, queen bed, central air/heat, WiFi, cable TV and a kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. It is strictly a 2-person venue, there being no room for a rollaway bed. Small babies in a sleeper can be accommodated. The bathroom has a large step-in shower and there's a workstation/makeup table for your convenience. The location is super central two blocks from the bayfront and steps from the Flagler College Campus. Wedding venues are all close by and accessible in minutes. The best restaurants in town are minutes away as well on foot. For trips beyond, bikes are parked outside your door ready to explore wider horizons. Free parking with open entry/exit privileges is a few blocks away at the Municipal Garage, at 1 Cordova. Reasonable paid parking is 61 Cordova, almost adjacent to the Hideaway. It is most convenient for late arrivals. You can drive in and to the rear, where you will be fronting Spanish Street. Leave a note on the dash, something like: "Staying at 78 Spanish. Will pay by 8:30 tomorrow."

Great location in historical St Augustine. Bed was comfortable and the property had everything needed for the two nights we were in town. Lovely outdoor shaded deck area that had lights at night. The place was on the smaller size but seemed larger due to very good usage of space. Joe was very responsive and a wonderful host!
Joe was great we had challenges with wifi and had to sort out direct infinity connectionLocation was great for a long weekend stay and access to parking was excellent perk
Unit has all the necessities, in a compact place. I will book a bit further away from St. George Street next time to avoid late night noise from drunk partiers and a truck that tows cars in a lot next to the place.
Joe was very welcoming. All of the checkin/out instructions were very helpful. The location is amazing, perfect for a couple for the weekend. We will return!
Joe was a great host. He was very responsive during our stay. The space had everything we needed and the location was wonderful... walking distance to many of the city's attractions. If we come back this way, we'll definitely stay here!
Parking in front of property ranged from 5 to 25 with no overnight parking past midnight :(Unit was crammed and had no permanent ceiling over bathroom so sounds were heard throughout unit including a dripping faucet. Deck above unit was occupied by revelers past 11pm. Trash in parking lot outside unit. Convenient to historic district with free local bus available at regular intervals. Romance factor is non existent as bathroom opens into a gallt kitchen.

Close to everything in historic St. Augustine. Clean room with more amenities than a basic hotel room. Surprisingly quiet considering the central location.
The location is excellent! However, the parking is a PITA. We couldn't connect to the internet. Ran out of paper towels and cloth towels (bath and kitchen) are limited. Overall this location and stay is well worth it. The host was quick to respond and the room is clean but could use a little more attention to corners for harmless critters coming in from the cold that couldn't find their way out. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others!
Clean and comfy room, right in the middle of everything and very attentive host! Thank you Joe (and thank you for your service)! We hope to be back soon :)
Everything was beyond Excellent! The Studio was perfect for us. Clean, quiet, centrally located to everything, including the Historic district. The price was great! Exceptional deal for the location. Our Host, Joe, was incredible! Worked with us on check in. Communications were Excellent and Timely. Even had the chance to meet up with Joe in person and swap some stories. Wonderful Man. Overall, a Fantastic 3 night, 4 day get away in Beautiful St. Augustine. Everything in their description on VRBO was spot on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this WONDERFUL Location. We definitely will be back many times to come. Stayed many nice locations around St. Augustine in the past, but this one really spoiled us.

About the host
Hosted by Joe Teisan
My family has lived in St Augustine since 1979. We bought our first Victorian on Grove Avenue and raised our kids there. We have watched the city grow from a quiet, sleepy little beach town to a still small and still friendly little city that has managed to preserve its heritage and multicultural diversity. We have lived in many cities around the world following jobs and dreams and we always manage to return to St Augustine. This is our home and we invite you to partake of our hospitality and the historic charm and natural wonders the city has to offer.
