If you are looking for a unique, eclectic, fun place to get away, welcome to ruby's rental!!! Hot Tub available ($50 extra fee). 3.5 blocks from downtown.

Sainte Genevieve is a train town. This rental is located right across the street from the railroad tracks.

This is an old house, do not expect all modern features.

Ruby’s Rental has one bedroom (with 1 queen bed), a sleeping loft (with 2 twin beds.
Hot Tub - Use requires a prepaid $50 fee.
Fire Pit- must provide wood

Very cute house a few blocks from town. I read a lot of reviews complaining about the trains but decided to book anyway. Honestly, the trains did not bother us at all. I actually enjoyed seeing them go by and hearing the whistle. Yes, it was loud and they switch tracks right there, but I really liked being so close to them. I did not hear them when we were sleeping, they did not wake us up. I think kids especially would enjoy being so close to the trains and watching them go by. Don't let those reviews deter you!

Host was nice, just location was not great. Should def make it clear that it is right across the street from a very busy railroad track that is busy all night long. Got little sleep and left a day early to get sleep. A heads up to bring head phones to drown out the very loud trains would have been appreciated.

Ruby's Rentals is a great place to stay. It's in walking distance of all the downtown shops and restaurants and has a wonderful front porch view.

Adorable property not far from the attractions, funs and eclectic decor! The hot tub and fire pit were our favorites for evenings at the house. Their hot tub use suggestions ar spot on!

The trains are a big deal, disruptive to sleep. Place was decorated on a budget but very cute, loved the color pallette. Hot tub was nice.

Loved the decor and vibe by of Ruby’s. It was ungodly hot so did not use the hot tub. We heard the trains and the track/car switching. It wasn’t TOO distracting. There was a bit of coffee that was burnt on the inside of coffee pot, so that hadn’t been cleaned. All in all we would give it 8 out of 10. Fun weekend!

Perfect Get-A-Way from St. Louis

Simple, cozy, eclectic, and private! Perfect for those looking for something that is not your typical hotel scene. Walking distance to Ste. Gen's historic district. If you are a fan of trains, then this is a perfect place to see, observer, and hear. The hot tub was perfect. Looking forward to a return trip during one of Ste. Genevieve's "events" weekend.

We came for girls trip. Weekend getaway we loved staying here!!! We will definitely come again. It was close to everything. Adorable and unique. Loved the hot-tub. Exactly what we were looking for. We ate at Stellas would definitely recommend. Went shopping and listened to live music at the Biergarten.

The house is adorable decorated! We loved the fire pit and hot tub! As you can see in other reviews, the train does come right by the house, multiple times a day. It did not really bother us though. The ambiance more than made up for the noise. We would stay again if in the area!

Girls trip. We enjoyed the place, decor is great and it was set up perfectly for the 4 of us. We had an issue with cleanliness and at first got an odd response but received a more appropriate response the next day. We slept fine (visited the wineries ) but the trains moving and connecting are definitely LOUD. We’d stay again but definitely not with kids.

Absolutely stunning stay. Nothing to complain about. Loved the home, host was a good communicator and the location is prime. Train didn’t bother us at all! Actually, the conductor would honk the horn and wave at our son.

This place has a great location, just a short drive or reasonable walk from the historic district. Lots of space and all the amenities you need. True that the train does pass by occasionally, but I think that gives the place character (and is not that great a distraction)! Great communication with owner. Keypad entry, which eliminates the need to keep up with keys.
