Blue Door Retreat is a modern 3 bedroom Townhouse that accommodates up to 13 guests and is next door to Red Door Retreat.

DOWNSTAIRS:
Open plan kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, dining, lounge area with TV/DVD, reverse cycle air-conditioning.

Bathroom with shower, vanity and w/c, laundry with washing machine.

2 bedrooms.

Bed configuration - bed 1 - queen plus tri bunk bed (double on bottom, single on top) Bed 2 - tri-bunk (double on bottom, single on top)

UPSTAIRS:
Open plan Kitchenette with microwave, small fridge/freezer, no oven, under bench seating, lounge with wall mounted TV, reverse cycle air-conditioner.

Bathroom with vanity, walk in shower and w/c.

1 bedroom.

Bed configuration - bed 3 - king plus tri-bunk (double on bottom, single on top).

Gazebo with outdoor setting, gas BBQ, Fish cleaning facility, with off street parking.

Garage not for use.

Historic seaside town of Edithburgh offers an excellent boat ramp, jetty, tidal swimming pool, playground, golf course, hotel, IGA, deli, take away and Cafe, not to mention the beautiful sights of Yorke Peninsula!

Pillows and quilts are provided, you will need to bring your own linen - pillow cases, top/bottom sheets, towels/bath mat and tea towels.
King bed top/bottom sheets can be hired for $35, you will still need to bring your pillow cases and all other linen.

Off Peak - school terms: 2 night minimum stay

Bond is increased during peak season to $600 - this will be manually changed by office staff when processing your booking.

Quiet comfort

Well appointed overall. Things we'd like - stronger bed reading lights and air-con in main bedroom. Otherwise, a perfect spot for a quiet getaway.

When we arrived on Friday the dishwasher was full of dishes had not been placed back into cupboard Bathrooms were very dirty and did not look like anyone had cleaned before we arrivedThe deadlock front door key system is cumbersome as whoever stays home needs to be locked in otherwise they have to be up to let anyone else in.

Nice house, but lacked some attention.

Property presented well. Clean, other than oven. Not properly cleaned. Happy with location, communication and house itself. Not happy no fridges were turned on prior to arrival. Nor hot water system ready. Gas was not turned on, or any instructions on how to do so. If you know tenants are coming, cleaners or owners should attend beforehand and prepare property. It is the small things that count and make it slightly personable.

Absolutely no problem in getting this organised on a Friday ahead of our Sunday arrival through Dee and Sharon of Accommodation on Yorkes. This was our first stay in Blue Door Retreat. It's more than we need but we got to spread out & enjoy some extra space. Very comfortable & quiet. We will be back! And we would only ever use Accommodation On Yorkes for our arrangements.

Sadly it has not kept up with the times. With no pergola out the back, the sun makes it a hot box, BBQ can only be used by lining it with baking paper first, spiders and cobwebs throughout the house made it look like it'd been empty for a while... Plenty of beds though which is what we needed and a big dining table inside to match. But the kitchen felt a bit small for the amount of people the home accommodated. Needs a little TLC.

Great little spot, neat and simple 2 bedroom

Was great little location, need to bring your own towels, tea towels, bedding, all food and drink, bin bags etc. Basic cleaning supplies, some toys are available. Three double beds and 2 singles (bunks). TV doesn't have WiFi, and will need and extension cord if u need access to power points in bedroom. As High fences for dog. Nice walking path along water close by.

Excellent Getaway

My Partner and I absolutely adored the Blue Door Retreat in Edithburgh. The property was clean, central to the town, near the beach and was the perfect size for the two of us. We loved the layout, the open spaces and the outside area for our morning coffees. We will be returning the next time we are down in Yorkes and have already started recommending this place to our friends and family too! Thank you for providing the most amazing space for our getaway :)

Good beach house

Slightly out of the main street of Edithburgh close to the small fishing jetty, this is a pretty good property. It would suit one family only as the bed lay-out in the two bedrooms is a bit odd. A great place to stay and we appreciated them letting us have pets there! Recommended.

Pleasant place for a short stay

Good location, short walk to esplanade and short drive to main street. Neat and clean property which has considered most amenities but some areas need attending to such as the screen door and gates banging. The inclusion of extra towel racks in bathroom to hang towels, perhaps a hairdryer, and having some sort of shade/umbrella for the outdoor table. Overall, a good place to stay for a short visit.
