This property is an absolute gem. During our 27 years of renting self catering accommodation in Ireland, this spot has topped the list of places we have loved staying. Not only is Waterford an amazing county that we haven’t had the pleasure of exploring before, but this house is perfectly situated on a quiet lane, with views of the water from the breakfast kitchen and the lawn. Plenty of bedrooms with firm beds, along with multiple bathrooms, situated with generous extras of linens and towels, made our party of five comfortable no matter how bad the jet lag. The house was clean and had laundry facilities with a washer and dryer to make the long stay easier on the packing list. Two kitchens meant that we could cook larger meals in the back kitchen, while keeping the breakfast kitchen for lighter fare and puzzle-making. There were multiple spaces in the house for each of us to hang out in, enjoying solitary pursuits, or to come together while making the most of family time. The library was a favorite place to sit of an evening, watching the weather and enjoying an after-dinner drink. The Irish summer proved to be particularly warm this year, so we didn’t need to utilize any heating, but open windows and an ocean breeze kept us cool. The hosts of this bucolic retreat could not have been more kind, attentive, and understanding - he communication was top notch from beginning to end. If we are near Dungarvan or Ardmore, this is always going to be the property we look to rent first.
