Family weekend away

Lovely, rustic, light filled property in bushy surrounds. Immaculatey clean, we enjoyed the open living area upstairs and extra living downstairs. Bedrooms were very cosy and bathrooms very new and luxurious. A perfect weekend for the 7 of us.

Absolutely wonderful! We loved being able to relax & enjoy the big living space & balcony together.

Easy booking, communication and check in. The house was perfect for a family getaway. It's so tough finding time away from everyone's busy schedules so it was perfect to enjoy a coffee on the balcony with the birds, play games around the fire and enjoy being in the mountains. We loved our time at Lyrebird Cottage and would definitely stay again! Thanks for having us!

Peaceful

The house is situated in a peaceful quiet area. Upstairs is lovely, very comfortable. The bedrooms downstairs are a good size, have beautiful bush views and the communal area connecting them all is nice too. The bathrooms are beautifully modern and stylish. We enjoyed our stay here, this was a great choice!

Quiet, warm and relaxing

It was very relaxing and cosy by the fire; and there were large shower heads and lovely renovated bathrooms. The rooms were a little musty and some of the linen was not clean. The signal and wifi at the house was very weak.

Relaxing holiday location

The communication with the property manager was very easy as was the check in process. The driveway was a bit tricky so I only parked on the road at night. During the day we were a bit more confident to navigate the driveway. The upstairs area was awesome especially in the morning with the sun coming in the windows. Great if you’re happy to mingle in an open area with the bedrooms downstairs for privacy.

Mountains Mist

Enjoyed the misty mountain vista. Cottage well provisioned- beautiful bathrooms. Driveway tricky in the rain but lots of road parking. We couldn’t get the dishwasher to do other than rinse so further instructions may help. Beautiful spot for a weekend.

Review of house

It was cosy and clean, the upstairs was beautiful very open lots of nature to see, the downstairs main room with ensuite and neighbouring room were very loud at night when raining as it is a tin roof and also could hear creaking a lot around the house at night. The driveway is also very steep so street parking was great to have as an alternative. The window in the main bathroom shower NEEDS frosting as we were a group of girls and it was quite scary at night and has a direct view from the street. it would be good in the future to advise visitors of any maintenance people coming on the property as we were not advised of Gardeners. Overall great stay just needs a few fixes.

The large family room upstairs was excellent for our family get together

Nice and quiet as we wanted. The driveway was a bit too steep so we parked on the road. Maybe remove one large tree to make the driveway less scary to navigate.
