Brittons hill luxury detached cottage has been totally renovated to the highest standard is a 3 bedroom two bathroom 350 year old Thatch Cottage sleeping up to 6 persons in the Cottage with two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom all with beautiful views.
The Cottage is over looking beautiful countryside we have outside seating and dining areas for you to enjoy alfresco dining.
We are close to the famous Romney marshes and situated between Appledore and Hamstreet villages and all set in idyllic surroundings with Glorious countryside all around us.
Surrounded by a mixture of pasture and woodland bluebell woods nearby and is a haven for wildlife-peace and tranquility guaranteed.

Our cottage has it’s own particular special charm, and is refurbished to provide the highest standard of comfort, yet retaining a wealth of period features along with a contemporary twist Tasteful Elegant furnishings, beautiful living areas and conservatory all with amazing views
For your holiday we believe our Cottage has everything you could need you may nor ever want to leave! If you do we have beautiful towns, villages, gardens and beaches all close by.
Surrounding area:
The Cottage was Awarded 5 stars by the tourist board and certificate of Excellence from trip advisor it is a wonderful base for touring Medieval Rye with its famous cobbled streets, Canterbury, Hastings and the nature reserves at Dungeness and Rye are all within short driving distance. Cyclists can enjoy the many leafy cycle routes, which are all around this fascinating area among the famous Romney Marshes. There are also many beautiful National Trust properties to visit within easy driving distance of Britons Hill cottage.
The area is a perfect base for any type of holiday appealing to Couples, families, walkers or cyclists.
Day trips from Folkestone or Dover to the Continent is easy by ferry or hovercraft and of course Euro tunnel’s 'Shuttle will take you to France in just 35 minutes, or you can travel to Paris or Brussels on Eurostar from Ashford's International Station which is just 12 minutes drive away.
There are many sandy beaches that are only 20 min. drive away.

Cycling, walking riding, trust properties, castles and vineyards.

We really enjoyed our stay at this holiday home. It is lovingly and cosily furnished, with everything you could possibly need – you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the details. We especially loved the secluded location, which allowed us to truly switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet. One minor point of criticism is that the cleanliness could have been a bit better in some areas. Overall, however, the positive aspects far outweigh this, and we would definitely love to come back!

Lovely cottage as starting point for Kent visits

The cottage is well centered in the middle of Kent and therefore an optimal retreat for any Kent visits. Lovely and luxurious cottage with a responsive owner. 20 minutes drive to sandy beaches as well as 40 minutes to Canterbury, Turnbridge Wells or Sissihurst Gardens. Just an outstanding vacation experience to be repeated!!!

Chocolate-Box Perfection!

The most beautiful thatched English country cottage, decorated to quirky perfection and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Wonderful family living space includes a great kitchen, fully equipped with a really comfortable seating area for TV watching. There are two sets of stairs, which we found manageable and heated floors! The dining room in the conservatory is classy and light, leading into the prettiest, most peaceful garden, full of shrubs & flowers and overlooking open fields. The bedroom was cosy, the bed very comfortable, the colours feminine and welcoming. A lovely location to explore the Kent countryside and beaches. We especially enjoyed Camber Sands (great for dogs before 1st May) and Tenterden, with good places to eat and lots of independent shops. We so enjoyed the experience, as did our little furry companion and we’d definitely recommend it!

Beautiful cottage

The cottage is beautiful, the surroundings are beautiful. The owner takes pride in the cottage and it is evident from the moment you arrive. It exceeded our expectations and we were not disappointed at all. The only tip I have for guests arriving who are not familiar with the area is to arrive before dark or you may find it difficult to find :)

Perfection in every way

From the moment you open the gate you are transported to this amazing place where every little detail had been thought of. We all felt at home immediately. There is nothing more we needed or could of thought that would have improved our stay. We will be back and I can not recommend highly enough. Just amazing in every way!

A beautiful cottage and a terrific stay

We could not recommend this cottage more highly. The property is extremely pretty and our daughter loved pottering around in the garden watering the flowers. The hot tub is a highlight which is top of the range with powerful jets and underwater lighting. The cottage has a wonderful balance of traditional beauty combined with luxury modern facilities. The local area is fantastic to explore with excellent biking and walks. The owner was extremely helpful throughout. We would stay again.

Wow! Home away from home, only better!

This beautiful thatched cottage really has to be seen to be believed. From the pristine, modern facilities, including a relaxing hot tub, to the garden and stunning surrounding views, it's simply amazing! There's also loads of local attractions including the Gusbourne Estate vineyard literally next door! Excellent customer service and hassel free booking, I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.

Wonderful Cottage!

We visited the cottage in February and had a wonderful stay the cottage is warm and so cosy beautifully furnished with top end furnishings and very spacious for 6 persons there are amazing views from all parts of the cottage. We braved the hot tub and it was wonderfully clean and warm and so relaxing sitting in the bubbles looking over the countryside while relaxing what bliss! The cottage is ideally situated near to lovely villages and the town of Tenterden with good shopping and lovely eateries. If you can I strongly recommend you visit this charming cottage it is a must and we will definitely be going back plus the owners were lovely people to deal with and very helpful to us.

Beautiful chocolate box cottage , idyllic.

The cottage is beautifully set in the Kent countryside. The decor mixes traditional with contemporary perfectly. You can do nothing else but relax and inhale the perfectness! Will definitely be back!!

A beautiful chocolate box cottage, looks teeny from the outside, but upon entering it’s a tardis! Light, bright and airy; a fabulous mixture of hundreds of year old charm with modern facilities (like a lovely new kitchen and bathroom). Spotlessly clean, incredibly well equipped this is a perfect rental. Views are stunning, the area is beautiful, the hot tub is fabulous. Highly recommend.

Chocolate box meets modern!

Definitely has the wow factor! A beautiful combination of chocolate box thatch with a tasteful modern extension hidden behind. Great facilities, enjoyed the hot tub and the garden just beautiful. Lots to do in the area. I will be back!

Heaven on earth

This Cottage is perfect

What a amazing home Brittons hill is full of charm and character blended with contemporary and modern twists, beautifully furnished,sparklingly clean amazing views from garden and all the rooms the extra studio is very nice and suited our in laws perfectly with a very comfortable bed and well equipped large shower room we loved being so close to towns and numerous beaches and makes a wonderful base for a perfect relaxing holiday. Thank you for all your help and we are definitely coming back.

A perfect dream cottage in the countryside

We had a wonderful stay at this idyllic cottage which lived up to all our expectations. The views are absolutely stunning and the area is perfect for trips to beautiful Rye and Tenterden and walks on the lovely sandy beach at Camber. The owners were incredibly helpful and the cottage was very clean and cosy with absolutely everything we needed. It was so pretty and characterful, we just loved it and can’t wait to go back soon!

Picturesque stay in this wonderful cottage

We all had such a wonderful stay at this stunning cottage, I would give it 10 stars if I could! It is absolutely beautiful inside and out, and had everything we needed - including a hot tub!! The kids loved the hot tub, and so did we! What a beautiful way to relax and enjoy the views! The owners were lovely and gave us some great suggestions on where to visit and to eat. Battle is a great place to go for the day, and we had a wonderful meal at Simply I in Rye, thanks for the suggestions! The cottage was lovely & clean and everything inside was decorated beautifully. We had everything we needed for cooking etc. I spent a lot of my time in the conservatory in the evening, relaxing and reading my book and star gazing! What a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back and I am still recommending this to all my friends!! Thanks !

This Cottage definitely has the Wow Factor!

We had a wonderful stay in Brittons hill Cottage in November this was a family get together and we all had the most amazing time in this beautiful house with lots of room and space for all 6 of us, the hot tub was a real luxury the children adored it also the kitchen made my wife very envious we had lots of great food in the pubs and some lovely drives out also Tenterden was just a 10 minute drive with lovely shops and eateries but we would look forward to coming back to the cottage to relax as it is so comfortable and has everything you could ask for we know this area quite well and like to visit this part of Kent as it’s a great location but staying at this delightful Cottage was definitely the highlight. Thank you so much for a perfect stay.

My stay at the cottage

We stayed in the cottage just after Christmas and it was wonderful the cottage is just perfect like a picture book it is furnished beautifully and was lovely and warm and cosy inside the views from all rooms especially the conservatory are amazing I can highly recommend the local pubs for really nice food Rye is definitely worth visiting and miss molletts in Appledore has the best sandwichs and cream teas We will definitely return to the Cottage as soon as we can.

Wonderful holiday

We stayed at this Cottage in September and it’s the best cottage we have stayed in it looks perfect on the outside and the garden is wonderful with lots of high quality garden furniture plenty of room for 7 of us the views are stunning there is a wonderful hot tub where you can soak in luxury and look out over the countryside just perfect the inside is just as good with high end furnishings a fantastic cooks kitchen, large flat screen TVs and good quality beds highly recommend the local pubs for good food and the Cottage is based in a ideal position for visiting the major towns and villages many castles and gardens nearby and we enjoyed the beaches that are only about 20 minutes away so all in all a wonderful place to stay.

Perfect Cottage and a Wonderful Stay

This Cottage is Just Perfect more than beautiful what a surprise we had when we walked in through the gate my little girl was so excited she was convinced that fairy’s must live in the garden the cottage was every bit as special inside as outside we took our dog with us and there are woods to explore just opposite the cottage which we all enjoyed we were lucky with the weather and could eat our breakfast in the lovely garden looking at the amazing views and the pheasants and bunny rabbits in the fields, we all loved the hot tub which made our stay even more special we had lovely days out there is such a lot to see and do all within short drives from the cottage but we were always glad to go back to the cottage it really is a super place for a holiday you feel totally removed from the hustle of the real world and a big thank you to the owners who were very good to deal with and most helpful if you are looking for something special you really should visit Brittons Hill Cottage you will not be disappointed.

Delightful

We stayed at this beautiful cottage At Christmas time and it was just wonderful like a picture on a postcard with Beautiful furnishings and also very very comfortable beds The kitchen was a delight to use and we were lucky enough to have some bright sunny days to enjoy the lovely views, the cottage was lovely and warm and with every Home comfort we will booking again for the spring This home is a absolute Gem.

Hi we are Pauline and Chris we live in a suburb just on the London outskirts with our two boys and 2 dogs we both lead really busy lives so a holiday home is a real treat and escape for us it took a lot of hard work to get our home but we love it it is really a very place and very special home in a upmarket location close to all the amenities, a real home from home for us and we hope for our guests I hope we have thought of all the little touches that makes a home special and comfortable and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do to and we will do everything we can to make your holiday really special as we know how important that is.
