Casa completa

Casa más grande de lo que parece en el anuncio, muy completa en todos los sentidos, de hecho, fue una sorpresa que cada estancia contaba con aire acondicionado individual. la única pega es el no disponer del uso del garaje para los 2 coches. El resto todo fenomenal. Repetiría en la misma casa si vuelvo a la misma zona.

We stayed in a beautiful homely, functional and well cared for Villa with a fabulous garden which was meticulous, fragrant and so colourful. We all loved the pool and were grateful for the pool floats for the kids and a lovely dining area outside steeped in the hibiscus scent on the breeze. We enjoyed the local restaurants. We loved our holiday in Portugal!

Schöner Aufenthalt mit kleinem Makel

Der Urlaub war sehr schön. Wir waren zwei Familien (4 Erwachsene, 3 Kinder). Leider war das Poollicht defekt, so dass Baden abends nur schlecht möglich war. Es soll nach der Saison repariert werden. Außerdem gab es einen Einbruch, bei dem Bargeld entwendet wurde. Das kann aber wohl überall passieren.Ansonsten war der Aufenthalt sehr gelungen.

Vila Caguy

The Villa is fantastic and perfectly located in a relatively quiet area but close to amenities and only a short taxi drive to Albufeira Town, marina, beach, etc. The local Uber taxis are the best we have ever experienced anywhere, outstanding, friendly, prompt and affordable. The rooms at the Villa are all large and we were able to use al four bathrooms. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and there were a lot of other things in the Villa, like bicycles, that we made use of during our stay. The outdoor area around the Villa was large and well kept. The managing agents were friendly and helpful. The only reason we scored a 4 was due to the fact that the key code was changed and we could not get in straight away however this was resolved after a quick call. Overall a great stay in a lovely resort.

Wonderful home away from home

Packed with plenty of amenities and equipment, this wonderful property really let us relax and enjoy the southern Portuguese sun! Plenty of kitchen space and utensil meant that we cooked extravagant meals that we could enjoy on the very cozy terrace. There is nothing that I was dissatisfied about and I really recommend this place!

Perfection!

If I could have given it 7 stars I would have done. This is the perfect villa in the perfect location. It is very large and is eminently suitable for an extended family or two families. The pool is the largest we have ever had in a villa, and can easily accommodate 8 people. There is air con in every room, unlike some villas that claim to have A/C, but have it only in one room. The villa is equipped with everything you could want for a holiday, masses of crockery and cutlery, pool toys, games, books and loads more. Guy was very easy to deal with and very helpful and accommodating when we had to postpone for a year due to Covid restrictions. There are several good restaurants within walking distance (we particularly liked Dom Diniz and O Amigo). The 'secret' beach is great but does get a number of people going there, especially in the afternoons. There is some sun in the morning but most of the beach is in shade until about midday. It is tricky swimming unless you are a very strong swimmer, the waves come through a small archway into the cove. Turning left out of the villa you can get to Praia da Coelha (Google maps is very handy here as the path is not that easy to find). This beach is more main stream and child friendly, and also has a bar/restaurant. The villa pool has a deep end of about 2 metres, great for adults and older kids, but if you have small children you need to be aware of that, but there is a pool alarm system that you can attach to them. The best supermarket is Apolonia (turn right out of the villa, up to the cross roads, turn left, and it s about a mile and a half in Gale). Walking there and getting a cab back is the easy way to do it. To sum up- Simply the Best!

Our stay in Casa Caguy in July 2022

We spent 1 week in the villa, 7 people (2 famielies) and it was very nice, very comfortable stay. The house is spacious, planty place for 7 people. Each of 4 bedrooms has its own bathroom which is very convenient. The kitchen is very well equipped - it seems that sbdy lived here, which makes it feel at home. The pool is great! Pretty deep - you can actually have a good swim there. Small minus - the light in the pool was broken (it would be nicer to have it on in the evenings). Very quiet area - about 10 - 15 minutes to the closest beach (4 beaches can be reached easily on foot). Also at leas 3 restaurants in walking distance. The closest one - O Marinheiro very, very good (pretty expensive though :). The garden is very pretty and well maintained. There is a barbecue (we had once a barbecue dinner by the pool). Minuses of the stay (minor ones) - no shop in walking distance (it would be difficult without a car, you can use Uber just in case), we had 10 very young men as neighbours (also on holidays) and they were very loud sometimes (both days and nights), some of the equipment is already pretty old (eg. sunbeds). We liked the place so much that we would be very happy to come back here another time!

Séjour parfait

La maison est très spacieuse et très bien équipée. Il y a absolument tout à disposition jusqu aux jeux de plage. Les extérieurs sont aussi très grands notamment la piscine et très bien entretenus L emplacement est au calme proche de la plage parfait pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis A noter La voiture est nécessaire La personne qui gère l’accueil et la sortie est super gentille et disponible. Nous recommandons vivement la maison de Guy, fort possible que nous y retournions 😊 Merci à Guy

Très bon sejour

Belle et grande maison , chaque chambre à sa salle de bain et possède la clim comme la grande pièce de vie cela est un confort supplémentaire . On peut trouver de l intimité , ou un lieu de tranquillité pour lire ou se reposer car il y a beaucoup de coins tranquille. Il y a tout l équipement nécessaire pour passer de bonnes vacances . Belle piscine très agréable après une journée a la plage . Belle plage à 10-15 mn à pieds , pas trop de monde même en haute saison avec un bon petit resto . 2 resto de bonne qualité à 5 mn de la maison à pieds, pas besoin de voiture. ALBUFEIRA PAS BEAUCOUP d intérêt à par pour manger une glace.... En résumé une belle location pour 8 personnes

Parfait

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cette grande villa. Nous étions 4 adultes et 4 adolescents. Les petites attentions lors de notre arrivée tardive ont été fort appréciées par nous tous. Nous avons beaucoup aimé le quartier, calme, la proximité de la magnifique plage de Coelha, la superbe piscine de la maison, ses différentes terrasses, les équipements. Tout y est pour passer un agréable séjour. Un seul regret : n’y être resté qu’une semaine. Merci aux propriétaires, à Sofia, aux jardiniers pour leur sympathie et leur discrétion.

Fantastic villa!

We have just returned from 2 weeks in this lovely villa, 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The villa was everything as described in the listings and more. The photos really don’t do it justice. The pool was a great size for us all to enjoy. The outdoor space and seating was great, loungers in the sun and eating area in the shade. The dining area inside was spacious, although we didn’t use it much as we loved being outside. The living area with the separate space with the comfy chairs (not shown in photos) was perfect for us. Terraces upstairs were great for an evening drink to watch the sunset. Bedrooms were a good size for us. They also have bikes for guests to use. Quiet hotel is just up the road (3 min walk), with a little shop. They will order your taxis if needed. You can also use their bar. Beaches are stunning, we walked to 4 local ones including the secret beach (see an earlier review for directions). We ate local and enjoyed some lovely food, within a 20 min walking distance there must be 10 restaurants. Shopped at Oceanos and the Spar, walked there 20-30mins and the shop assistants booked a taxi for us to return. Visited the marina a few times (€8ish one way - 6 seater) which was a lovely day out. Also into Albufeira (€10ish one way) for shopping, food and the beach. We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful villa for a wonderful holiday

I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. It had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. We were three adults (granny came too) and two children and the layout of the villa meant that we all had our own space, without falling over each other, but had plenty of opportunities to come together - around the pool, the outside dining area and huge indoor dining room when the heat was too much for us! The pool and garden areas are beautiful and very well kept. The kitchen was very well equipped, with everything you could possibly need and more. The beds were really comfortable and the surrounding area was so quiet, we all slept very well. We had hired a car, which we feel was needed to drive to local supermarkets. We didn't attempt the bicycles as we stayed during the Lucifer heatwave, it was all we could do some days to stagger from the fridge to the pool and back! We ate in most evenings and ventured down to the beach each night to watch the sunset - we have some wonderful memories of gathering sea shells by the full moon. We are indebted to both Sofia and Darren for their prompt help in quickly sorting out a few problems we encountered during our stay. The villa is everything you could wish for. We felt so lucky that we found it and are grateful to Guy for all his help and guidance in making the booking process easy.

Fantastic Holiday

The villa was even better than expected with four very comfortable bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Most of the rooms have shuttered doors which can be opened to allow easy access to the outside - the villa is nice and cool even when it's very hot outside. The kitchen had everything we could need and the BBQ was a great addition. The pool was lovely and could fit all 7 of us comfortably. The neighbourhood was very quiet, which was great. WiFi connection is strong throughout the villa. The beach was very easy to get to we spent many happy afternoons there. You can take some really nice photos around sunset. The beachside restaurant is also great for a special evening meal. The umbrellas for the beach, provided by the villa, are a great addition. The local shops had pretty much all we could need. They are quite a distance, however, so the bikes provided by the villa were very useful. The town itself is too far to walk to, but a taxi can be arranged to pick you up at the local hotel. We didn't actually go into the town and just had a relaxing time at the villa/beach. Sofia and Darren Bentley were very helpful and friendly at the villa, as was Guy in organising the booking. Overall we had a wonderful week and consider ourselves lucky to have found this property!

Fantastic in every way. Thankyou !!

We had a fantastic time in this absolutely beautiful villa. Thanks to Guy and Catherine but also the pool boy Darren and his wife Sophia. Without your help we would never have found this paradise. There is a story behind all this but Guy was able to communicate from Switzerland, I believe, and Catherine was in Belgium and Darren and Sophia locally. They all helped us well above and beyond the call of duty. We had booked a James Villa elsewhere that turned out to have VERY noisy guests next door. As James Villas were not able to solve the issue, we resorted to trying to find alternate accommodation ourselves. In the space of an evening Guy had organised for the villa to be made ready for us and the pool topped up and ready to go. They really trusted us and we are so thankful. Sophia apologised for having to rush to get it ready but it was spotless. I could list thousands of things that I like about the villa but I will just list a few. The pool is fantastic and necessary to cool off in the 29 degree heat. Outdoor table and seats to use for alfresco dining. Barbi was great too (Barbecue that is). Absolutely beautiful flowers on the surrounding hedges. Praia da Coelha beach 500m walk has fantastic shells. I have never seen so many. If you get a chance visit the secret beach which is about 10 mins walk. Go to the Baia Grande hotel. Turn right and keep walking downhill. Eventually you will get to the last villa. Walk down the right side path and follow it for a way. You will see a myriad of paths but the right pathways take you down to some fairly steep stone steps and down to the hidden beach. It's almost like a scene from Harry Potter when you look back up. I won't bore you all with my memories but the only bad thing was..... We had to come home. The villa was purchased by our parents as an ideal house for family holidays with the children and grandchildren. It was not only used during the summer time but also as a second residence each year, from April till October.

update February 2013: interior works almost completed. All painting done, 3 new showers and closets installed, roof renewed, all waterpipes new. Kitchen still in process and renovation of pool started.

Situated in a quite dead ending street, at walking distance of the beach and close to Albufeira, the house offers the possibility to spend quite holidays together but the central location also offer the possibility of various activities and excursions in the neighborhood.
