Great outside space but both bathrooms need updating...
The final approach to the villa is a little precarious as The track is narrow - and The villa is not well signposted off The road. The pool area and gardens are lovely...and were well used. The outside dining area and bbq are excellent and we practically Ives outside for the whole 2weeks .. We felt however that the inside of the villa needs a little attention. The bedroom furniture is not great in any of the bedrooms and both of the bathrooms need updating urgently as there is only 1 proper shower in the villa which sleeps 6...and that shower cubicle in the upstairs bathroom leaks badly as the shower doors don't close properly. .The downstairs bathroom has a spa bath and hand held shower which is very outdated. We must say that Josep was a delight to deal with and was most helpful. We would not want to put anyone off using this villa...with a few tweaks to the bedroom furniture and 2 updated bathrooms this could indeed be a great place to stay. Pollensa town is charming it's the 3rd year running that we have visited...
We were a family of 4 (Kids 10 + 12) and first time in Mallorca. Loved the villa, very private, great sized pool and only 10 min to Puerto Pollensa and a Lidl supermarket. Lots of great beaches to explore, small motor boats to hire and restaurants all along the Pine Walk. Any queries Josep (the owner) came back to us within minutes. We had a great holiday and would love to go back.
Great family villa
Great family villa and extremely helpful host
Great property, located in the countryside but with a few villas in the surrounding area so you don't feel too isolated. Pool was lovely if a little cold for a 20-month old baby! Found buckets and spades and a large inflatable ball in the garage which was great. Outside dining and seating options were nice. It is a little more compact than it appears from the pictures but was easily big enough for four adults and a baby. Josep was very helpful, turned up within the hour when we requested a couple of additional blankets.
Thought the villa was well equipped, plenty of cutlery and cooking equipment (multiple methods for making coffee!). TV is heavily biased towards German channels - worth taking DVDs with you if you are likely to be relying on the screen for entertainment. The roof terrace was nice for looking at the stars, even saw a couple of lizards up there. We had a neighbouring cat come to visit most days.
Location is handy - couple of minutes drive to get to Pollensa town and maybe 10 minutes to a decent sized supermarket - 15 minutes drive to get to Puerto Pollensa with a lovely beach and nice restaurants.
Great family holiday
We stayed last week in August and our 3 boys absolutely loved the pool and the fact we were only 10 minutes from the beach at Peurto de Pollensa !! Great holiday had by all !!
Lovely villa. Lovely part of the Island. I stayed with my parents and we had such a chill out time. Looks like just as much fun for kids, lots of space.
The orchard is a lovely touch. There is something about picking your own lemons and limes to grace the cocktails. (-;
Josep and family were very good and showed a keen interest in us enjoying our stay. Hopefully we will stay there again in 2018.
Originally a fishing village, the enchanting resort of Puerto Pollensa has everything, wonderful scenery, beautiful sandy beaches, fantastic cuisine and a laid-back friendly atmosphere. The sheltered horseshoe shaped bay is set against the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana mountain range. The resort of Puerto Pollensa is arguably Mallorcas finest. Despite its success, Puerto Pollensa has managed to retain its charm and a somewhat understated character as well as its rather exclusive feel.
50 Km from Airport (40 min. drive on the highway
1,5 km from pollensa town
6 km from puerto pollensa beaches
Location Information: The most beautiful and picturesque area of Mallorca is the Pollenca region which has a unique charm and beauty, and is the ideal destination for quality, family villa holidays. Pollença Old Town is a peaceful and tranquil town that remains very typically Spanish. It is four miles from the coast, nestling between two hills at the eastern end of the Tramuntana mountains. Pollença itself is indisputably pretty. Historic buildings with ochre roofs, sun-baked walls and wooden shutters line the narrow and twisting medieval streets. There are pastel-painted houses in the centre and Moorish water mills on the outskirts. It's also a haven of sleepy Mallorcan traditions - café life and the siesta roll on here as they always have. The heart of the old town is the central square, Plaça Major, where there are many café-bars and fine restaurants. Pollença also has lots of galleries of Mallorcan art and design, and a town museum. The most famous walk in Pollença is up the 365 steps of the tree-lined 'Calvario' - the Calvari Hill. There is a tiny church at the top with amazing views over the town and across wooded valleys to the sea Puerto Pollensa is host to long sandy beaches that curve around the bay and are divided by breakwaters and so are ideal for children. There are also a number of small, natural, sand and pebble beaches to explore. The atmosphere in Puerto Pollensa is relaxed with no loud discos or nightclubs, but a fine variety of open-air cafés, restaurants, boutiques and shops. The countryside around Pollenca Old Town and Puerto Pollensa is amongst the most stunning and picturesque in the Mediterranean. Lush green dramatic valleys, littered with grazing mountain goats and sheep and beautiful rural farmland hillsides dotted around picturesque monastery’s and farms are the typical view from your garden here.
