Why Rosie Kolster chose Morzine
The location of the apartment couldn't be better and it has been carefully and attractively renovated with style and attention to quality. Morzine is a lively traditional alpine village with huge appeal both for snow sports in winter and alpine activities in summer. The air is clear, the views spectacular and there are endless things to do.
What makes this Apartment unique
Easy access to the slopes across the road, close walking distance to the two main ski lifts as well as moments from shops, bars and restaurants in town. A spacious, well-equipped apartment with open fire, rare in an apartment, a wraparound balcony with stunning views and secure lockable bike storage as well as off-road outdoor parking for cars.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Loved our stay here in Morzine
The apartment was perfect for our family of four to stay for a week in Morzine. Fantastic location right at the bottom of the Pleney lift, easy walking access to everything in town and a lovely airy apartment with great views of the mountains out of the huge windows. We're already wondering when we can book to come again!
Great apartment with perfect location
Had a great stay mountain biking. The apartment was in the perfect location for the lifts and moments away from shops and restaurants in morzine. We loved our stay at this property and can thoroughly recommend it.
We only stayed for four nights, I wish it could have been four weeks!
This was our first ever visit to Morzine but I would definitely come back (not quite sure about my wife though!)
The apartment was very clean when we arrived and the wine and biscuits was a nice touch. The doors to the balcony were a bit stiff and we were worried about breaking them until I enquired of Rosie as to how to open them. In fact, Rosie is a bit of a star as communications were excellent and she put up with my most inane of questions!
There is a lockable garage downstairs which was very handy to store my rented bike in.
We didnt actually use the oven so I can`t really comment on that
There is a small pub/micro-brewery under the apartment but it didnt cause us any bother at all
Satellite TV too so it was just like being at home, only nicer!
The balcony is around two sides of the building and offers wonderful views. I would sit with a beer and watch the mountain bikers come down the trails. Unfortunately the luge on the hill wasnt open (I think it opnes early July) as I would have loved a go and probably would have sat watching other people come down too.
Obviously Morzine is known as a ski-resort but I was here to do some road cycling and some of the climbs were fantastic especially the Col deJoux Plane but it`s also worthwhile checking out the goat village at Les Lindarets.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this property at all
Thank you Rosie for sharing it with us
Fantastic Apartment in great location
Excellent apartment. Equidistant from both the Pleney and Supermorzine cable cars (5 mins walk to either), and close to great restaurants and shops. Great views of the mountains from the balcony.
The apartment is clean and well furnished, and comfortably accommodated us (2 couples) with kitchen, dining and lounge in open plan space. Toilet is separate from bathroom which is also nice.
Pub underneath is pretty quiet (and a nice microbrewery type pub, so a bit different to standard ski resort pubs) so no worries there.
Highly recommended, and will hopefully be back next year.
Thanks so much for your lovely review, Simon, I'm delighted that you all had such a great holiday and that the apartment suited your needs so well. We look forward very much to welcoming you back next year! Do book early, we already have about 5 weeks booked up next winter and I'd hate to disappoint you!
Really lovely holiday in a great location.
The apartment is ideally located in the centre of Morzine near the ski lifts. It is lovely and spacious and very homely. The views are incredible and we never tired of watching the world go by. There are great shops and restaurants within walking distance and the bus to Avoriaz was just around the corner. It was ideal and we’d love to return.
Great base for an off season break in Morzine. Fantastic communications from host right from 1st contact and apartment was fantastic. Very centrally based and would be perfect for the skiing season. Apartment has every item we could think off for a weeks stay but the best was the spectacular views. Great selections of basics like, tea, coffee etc provided but the bottle of wine was a really nice gesture. Can't thank Rosie enough and now already planning when we can return.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review, Jackie and Barry - I'm thrilled that you had such a good stay in the apartment and would be delighted to welcome you back for another holiday in future!
Lake Montriond is a 10 minute drive from the apartment and is ideal for swimming in the summer. A lifeguard is on duty during July and August and there are restaurants, pony rides, canoes for hire and flat lakeside walks as well as a waterfall. The lake at Les Gets is also a 10 minute drive away and the beautiful lakes of Annecy and Geneva are approximately an 1 hour's drive away.
Geneva Airport is just over 1 hour's drive.
Lyon/Grenoble Airport 2 hour drive.
Chambery Airport 2 hour drive.
Calais 8 hour drive.
Car hire recommended in summer for making the most of the area and activities. Transfers from Geneva Aiport readily available in both winter and summer. Car hire not needed in winter.
Chamonix = 1 hour 30 mins
Annecy = 1 hour 15 mins
Lake Geneva = 40 minutes
Geneva Town = 1 hour 15 mins
Yvoire = 1 hour
Thonon = 40 mins
There are 3 supermarkets in Morzine and a larger one just 5 minutes' drive away in St Jean D'Aulps. There are plenty of restaurants, shops and banking facilities/ATMs. There are two ice rinks, an indoor one which is open throughout the year and an outdoor one in winter in the village centre. There is a large open air swimming pool with children's area which is open in the summer months and a recently opened indoor pool alongside, as well as the new water park nearby in Avoriaz. There are plenty of activities on offer throughout winter and summer including skiing, walking, mountain biking, horse riding, 'Indiana Parc' tree-top rope course, summer luge, paragliding, golfing, helicopter trips, sledging, ice diving etc... Please see the official Morzine website for a full list of activities. Temperatures in the summer often reach 30 degrees and above. In the winter, although cold, lunches are usually consumed outside the cafes soaking up the sun!
