Wonderfully quaint cottage that is just what we needed for our base for 4 days in Burgundy. Christine and Yves are great hosts and have thought of everything you may need. Would definitely stay there again - a real gem!
The unit was very comfortable and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. They granted us privacy and checked in appropriately. Abundant information was available about sites and activities. Guests need to be nimble enough to navigate steep stairs. The unit has beautiful grounds, fish to watch under the mill, good parking, two bikes, ping pong and pétanque!
The mill is surrounded by water and trees so, despite the excessive heat during our week's visit, we stayed more comfortable than expected. The owners are both discrete and available if necessary and the location was very good to allow us to see the things we wished to see.
Great spot to stay, clean rooms & friendly owners. Bedroom tighter than expected.
Biggest issue was with Vrbo as had not sent request before staying for second payment / invoice & had not been paid, was rather embarrassing. Doubt if using again.
We don’t have words for this gem, an absolutely perfect place to calm down, to relax, to recharge your batteries, in the middle of unspoilt nature and at the same time not far from many places of interest. We felt at home from the very beginning and you feel that the apartment was designed for personal use as it is very individual and full of interesting books. Thank you Christine and Yves for hosting us, we would really love to come back one day!The only criticism refers to the agency of fewo- direct which should update the information about the mentioned additional offers (for example French lessons) which is no longer applicable.
We loved our stay here. Your stay is in a mill from 1738 that has been renovated in a manner that balances the uniqueness of the old charm and a modern aesthetic. We travelled with our seven year old and he loved it. The property is massive, there are sheep nearby, a spaces for bocce and long walks, a boat to go down the river and a whole number of other options Christine and Yves provide. The hosts Christine and Yves are incredibly friendly and really do a fantastic job making you feel welcomed. Yves suggested that we visit Vezelay which was not on our radar and we could not have been more appreciative to not have missed it. We loved the tranquility of the property for meals surrounded by only the sound of the natural environment and the central location for trips during the day. Definitely one of our favourite places. Don't miss it.

It was a real pleasure to welcome Craig and his lovely family and son. They were curious about the mill and the area, but discret at the same time. It was such a reward for us to see them truely enjoy and respect all what was at their disposal. Although their stay was very short, we had interesting exchanges.
We would be very pleased to get another opportunity to hsost them.

We fully enjoyed our stay at Rix Mill! The most difficult part was to decide if we just stay for a lazy day in this little paradise or to go and visit some of the interesting sites in the area. The Mill is nicely renovated and the site is a gem for everybody who enjoys nature.
Christine and Yves are very welcoming and the perfect hosts. They leave enough privacy but offer support whenever needed. They also know the area very well and have plenty of ideas on things to do in Burgundy.
Thanks Christine & Yves for sharing your little paradise with us!
Paddelboot, Fahrräder, Tischtennis u.a.

It has been such a great pleasure to host Christine and Stefan! their enthusiasm and interest for the mill and the area were uplifting and their good mood was contagious.
And they leave the place absolutely pristine!
Thank you for everything Christine and Stefan and a special thank you from our little ones for the chocolates.
Wonderful hosts and very comfortable place to unwind. We enjoyed our stay after a busy Paris trip. The view of the pond and river that wind around the property is idyllic. Great way to relax in the French countryside. Having a washer and dryer was very nice after traveling. The house is very clean and well equipped with everything you need. My husband and I even played ping pong downstairs. Two fawns wandered in the yard to say farewell on our last day!

It's such a pleasure to host people as enthusiastic as Virginia and her husband! Their interrest for the hsitory of the mill and its environment, and the way they cared about the accomodation are a reward to the efforts and love we put in maintenaing the property.

Yolanda and Greg are the guests any host is hoping to host.
They were curious and enthusiastic about the history of the mill and its area. Even the unfriendly weather conditions did not manage to their good mood!
And they leave the site absoluttly clean and tidy, which was hignly appreciated.
