Not the most accurate listing

While the apartment was functional I found the listing a little misleading. The biggest and most disappointing issue is the apartment is not 10 minutes walk from Oistins. I booked specifically to be within (reasonable) walking distance but it’s actually a good 20+ minutes from the beach and Oistins front. More if you’re a little less of a brisk Walker. I am a fit and active gym goer and there’s no way the walk is 10 minutes, especially if you factor in the beautifully hot Barbados sun and humidity. This made it impractical to “pop” down to the beach or head out for a few drinks in the evening without driving. It was very frustrating to be just that little bit too far away from the beach to be able to comfortably walk back and forth as you do when you go to the beach. The picture shows a whole house but you actually only rent the top apartment, which isn’t really an issue as Cyrileen (who is lovely) who lives below gives you your privacy. It’s advertised with wifi but we were not given a code. I don’t think it would make a difference because the tv package that ran off the wifi was spotty at best and froze completely at worst. Which led me to believe even if I used the wifi it would be poor. We had to leave the apartment and go somewhere that had a better signal to do our online check in on the last day. It’s advertised as having air conditioning. In truth it’s only in the two bedrooms. The living space is not air conditioned which if you’re like me and like to relax without sweating makes it a little uncomfortable. The mosquito netting on the windows needed attention in some rooms and there was none on the balcony shutters. This meant our apartment was the place we were eaten alive by mosquitoes the most. Mainly at night. The kitchen cutlery and utensils needed a good scrub before we could use them and the oven was treacherous to light. I had to remove the bottom plate to get to the burners to light it because the electric lighter doesn’t reach far enough. All very scary. In summary Cyrileen is lovely and a great host. The apartment listing needs to be more accurate and the apartment itself needs a bit of TLC and investment in places. Thanks

Value for money and a good location

This was our first time using this website and we were a little wary however Michael answered all our questions promptly and was very accomodating. The apartment was spacious bright and very clean. It is in a nice quiet neighbourhood (apart from the dogs and roosters which we loved to hear). The locals are all very friendly especially Cyrileen. We walked to the beach everyday, and Oistins for the fish market. If we wanted to go further afield we hopped on one of the many local buses which pass by frequently.

Wonderful Wotton

We would like to thank you for the wonderfully comfy apartment that we rented from you. It had all the necessities that I or anyone else would require, you guys thought of EVERYTHING! Ciyrileen (lady downstairs) was. courteous, helpful & supportive and nothing that we wanted was a problem. The area of Wotton is 10 mins from the airport & has regular bus connections to anywhere on the island. Wotton is not only peaceful but full of friendly people, a supermarket 3mins away and only 15min walk from Miami Beach in Oistens. We choose to cook for ourselves but there are plenty of places to eat near the beach, not to mention the lively atmosphere, music & fabulous food that is prepared every Friday night. We had the most fabulous holiday and yes....I think a good thing should be shared. Returning to this beautiful apartment is a must for us! Anyway once again, thank you. Blessings Earlyn To anyone who is reading this post and planning a trip to Barbados, you have a 5 star recommendation from me with regards to this apartment; the price is affordable and has all the comforts of home.

Enjoyable Two Weeks in January

We just returned from an enjoyable two weeks here in January. The apartment was spacious, breezy, clean and quiet. Cyrileen, the landlord, was friendly and helpful and we felt at home here. It was great to be so close to the supermarket and plaza with the fantastic ice cream shop. The roosters and dogs in the surrounding residential neighbourhood made sure that we never overslept. Then there was beautiful Miami Beach nearby. Loved it!

Fantastic apartment

This apartment was well located very spacious and a pleasure to stay in. The hosts were very helpful with excellent correspondence. cyrileen the lady who lives below the apartment was a pleasure to be around and very helpful. Would definatly return thank you
