An excellent property, well appointed and well situated. It could perhaps benefit from a walk in shower, otherwise entirely satisfactory. handy for all local conveniences, even a walk into town is possible.

nice pool, nice house and clean, great beaches. However, the house is a bit worn and needs maintenance. That is why the price is a bit too high. Tavira is a nice town with cozy streets and many restaurants.

We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful villa and would definitely return.It’s exactly as the photos show, no surprises! It’s huge!!The beds are extremely comfortable with lovely bedding.The villa is well equipped. There’s loads of books to read. We travelled with teenagers who loved the pool. If you are travelling with young children there are lots of toys and equipment to help keep them entertained. It’s easy to walk into Tavira but there is one busy main road to cross which is quite tricky depending on the time of day, after that it’s a pretty country track all the way. We only met one car on the track in 10 days.Uber costs between 3 and 5 euros to get back from the town to the villa if you don’t want to make the uphill return walk.Tavira town was beautiful with its cobbled streets and fabulous restaurants.You can take an Uber to Lidl or Pingo Doce to stock up the villa with food and drink. It’s a 3 euro trip each way.The residential road the villa is on is quiet, we barely heard any other people at all.

We absolutely loved our stay here - it's a great villa in a fantastic location! The pool is amazing and the villa has everything you need for a family holiday.

A wonderful house in a quiet area around 25 minutes walk from the town centre. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with a lovely pool and a nice view over Tavira from the upper levels.

A wonderful spacious villa

We really enjoyed our stay in this villa. It’s very well located for a walk into Tavira or for driving around the area or even in to Sevilla which is well worth a visit

Lovely peaceful break

Fantastic pool area. The lack of aircon downstairs and some very tired beds are all that prevented 5 stars overall. We had a lovely stay in a well appointed property. Tavira itself is a beautiful town.

Great villa and location

Thoroughly recommended, even better than it looks in the photos. Large, well equipped and clean villa with good sized pool and plenty of outside space. Fantastic location as 5 min drive into Tavira and walkable (20 min, we did it 4 times in week we stayed) into town centre for great selection of portuguese restaurants, market and ferry to beach

Spacious and peaceful

We enjoyed the spacious garden/pool area and quiet neighbourhood and would return. The furnishings were basic but adequate and property management quick to respond to a few minor issues.

Great villa with lovely garden and pool.

Well organised travel and key pick up to the villa. We really enjoyed our stay here as it's a lovely property but to get full marks the mattresses need replacing. They are very hard. We had a great holiday though.

3xcellent location, we walked into Tavira every day. Unfortunately the property wasn't ready for us when we got there. The villa is lovely and well equipped but needs someone to do odd jobs. Lots of bulbs out, door handle on fridge broken, bushes need cit back etc zthe doors were dirty. After a little tlc this eould be a perfect villa.

A Beautiful Spot Above Tavira

Gardens are lovely. House is very comfortable. Everything first rate. The only problem is that now that we're home our landscaping/Gardening needs to be brought up to snuff.

Great stay

The house is conveniently located close to Tavira town, supermarkets and local beaches. The villa is in a quiet neighbourhood, very spacious and easily accommodates six adults. The property management company was very responsive to the few issues we raised. The house is generally well equipped but in need of upgrading including the beds, the sun loungers and the WIFI. We enjoyed our stay very much and would come back in the future if some of the furnishings were renewed.

What a lovely property, great location if you like quiet secluded place just to yourself. Exactly as advert shows good size and lovely pool. I'd definitely come back here.I would suggest to owner to get a couple more very cheap TV's as one small size TV for whole property of this size isnt a lot. I know we are on holiday but kids these days and getting them out of the sun for a bit I think a couple cheap smart TV's in bedrooms would help but its a small thing everything else was brilliant. If you get a big car then you will have to park on the road as the parking space is very small but plenty on road parking anyway. All in all very nice and likely will come back which says it all :)

Excellent Property and Location

We had 3 weeks in the superb Casa Vanda and couldn't find anything to complain about. The villa is in a perfect location for visiting Tavira and the surrounding areas and is very spacious, both inside and outside areas (the online pics do not do it justice). The pool area especially was much bigger than we expected and we spent many long happy hours in and around the pool with the children. The owners and property managers were very attentive and we were very well looked after. Also surprised just how quiet the villa was considering how close it is to other properties. We were not disturbed by others at all during our stay. Finally, we were able to see quite a lot of local wildlife in and above the extensive gardens. All in all a perfect 3 weeks in the Algarve!

Amazing, relaxing luxury

My husband and I were joined by a friend for 4 days. Wow! Weather was warm so the pool was a huge draw - morning, afternoon and evening! The house has 2 two twin bedrooms and one large suite. The beds are hard for our taste, but we used the duvets to add padding - just right! Large open kitchen/dining area but we mostly ate outside. Easy to find and drive to town, grocery store, etc. The management team were very responsive - the internet went down and they sent folks out to fix by morning. Very quiet neighborhood and lovely view over old Tavira town. Excellent base for exploring the Algarve. Highly recommend!

Excellent Property

Overall this a lovely property in a well maintained garden. The pictures on vrbo do not do it justice. They do not show that the pool and pool area has been redone to a very high standard, for example. The interior is large and very comfortable. The location of the property is on a very nice estate on the edge of Tavira. Supermarkets are within easy reach. We found it easier to get a taxi into the centre of Tavira in the evening. We really liked this property and would love to return. The only point we need to consider is that the beds are very hard and I found them uncomfortable. I could not use the double bed and had to use one of the single beds instead.

time for t l c

This was our second visit to Casa Vanda. We hoped things might have been done to improve the interior of the villa over the last 12 months. While a small amount of money had obviously been spent, the property was still crying out for more t l c. The same tired loungers were round the pool; the same sun-damaged plastic table and chairs were on the patio; still no seating on master bedroom balcony; three-legged unusable easy chair in the lounge. We had another lovely holiday in Tavira - minimal expenditure on the villa's facilities would have made it a fabulous holiday.

Hi Michael, we did indeed spend a fortune on the exteriors (new large patio and pool and the house is just in April completely repainted ) that we kind of kept the interiors as last year . Although we did make some adjustments inside. It is possible that some items will break over time and after your visit we got them immediately changed. The seats outside were all new and the ones you refer to were the older ones but we just left them for guests on top of the new seats . At the end of this season we will change more on the inside. I was born and brought up in Honk Kong and lived in NZ, UK and now Belgium. Peter was born in Belgium and lived in Holland, UK now back in Belgium, however a lot of Peter's work is still based in London.

We met in England but we are now living in Belgium with a gorgeous 3 year old little girl, called Jasmien.


Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Myself and my partner Peter own this property and my parents previously owned it. They purchased the land before it was built when we were all living in Hong Kong as a family, so it has always been in the family from the very beginning. Therefore this villa is not just a holiday home for rental but our holiday home as well.

My parents originally purchased the villa when the plans had been approved and the villa was being marketed in Honk Kong. They decided without doubt to purchase the villa for its beautiful prime location in Tavira, it was an old fishing village but still maintains it's lovely artistic, peaceful and friendly characteristics.

Myself and Peter are well travelled as well having both lived abroad in several countries. We believe it is a perfect spot.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Villa is spacious with its own pool and huge garden with BBQ. There are tennis courts yards away and 7 golf courses 5- 15 mins away! There are also several beautiful beaches minutes away.

From the roof there's a great view over Tavira and the sea. It is walking distance to town and very close to 2 different large beaches, with bars & restaurants.

There's a morning fresh fish, fruit and vegetable market 6 days a week.In town there are numerous restaurants and bars, with choices of extremely well priced local places or your classier venues.

Also available is a cinema in a shopping mall with a large supermarket, banks, restaurant's with an outside terrace and loads of great shops.

At your request we can recommend places to go and things to do. We are always willing to help make your holiday as special as possibl
