What makes Somnia different from other properties is its homely but comfortable feel and its quiet, secluded location. It definitely does not have the soulless hotel feel of many apartments we have stayed at. This means that you can enjoy the peace and serenity of what feels like a rustic setting, yet the bars, beaches and nightlife are close by when you want them.
Barbados holds special significance for us because Cecily was born here - in the "Scotland district", so-called because it is the hilly part of the island. We have have visited many times and spend as much time on the island as we can. Although Barbados is small, there are still many places that we have not yet visited and other places that have changed over the years and are worth a second, third or fourth visit. Some attractions that we believe you will never tire of are the Atlantis submarine trip, St Nicholas Abbey, Harrison's Caves, Hunte's Garden and any boat trip involving rum punch, excellent food and swimming with the turtles. We believe that you too will want to come back, once you have experienced the island.
