I took my two boys (12 and 15) here along with other friends and we had a fantastic time. It was my first time staying in the Norfolk Broads and I wanted something fairly central to the area, with good access to the broads, cafes, pubs and attractions.. this place looked like it had it all and certainly didn't disappoint.
It looks small from the outside, but this property is like a tardis... separate dining/kitchen/lounge rooms... then a further three separate bedrooms (one with a superking sized bed!, one double - might have been a king? and a further twin bedroom!) and a bathroom - actually... no bath, just a modern good-sized shower, toilet and sink... Everyone was very comfortable. It's been tastefully decorated throughout... no particular theme... just really neutral and nicely modernised. The kitchen had most gadgets/crockery/cutlery and implements that you could ask for including a decent sized fridge with a good sized freezer - not the small post box type ones you get in some places...
Sitting outside in the garden watching the world, literally, float, sail and paddle by was superb and so relaxing... but my kids demanded action... so we spent quite a bit of time in the two double (seater) kayaks provided with the property (along with life jackets of all sizes! The owner really had thought of everything!) - you can go off and paddle for hours up and down the river taking in the beautiful scenery... it was absolutely fantastic. At night you can sit and watch a very clear sky too...so serene. There was also a shed at the side with swingball/chairs/fishing rods.. plenty to do!
Check on the map, but this place is close to many of Norfolk's main attractions including Thrigby Hall Wildlife park (great day out and about 20-25 mins away?) and... Lathams, which I think is a bit of a landmark in Norfolk by all accounts... it's a large store selling almost _anything_ that you can imagine and has an on-site bakery! There is a cafe attached... but we found that the Bridgestones cafe closer to the old bridge (about 7 mins walk from Vespers) was soooo much better and with THE best cakes you can imagine.
All in all, I'd highly recommend this holiday property.. it was clearly well looked after and maintained, you'll have a great time. Another bonus is that it has a dedicated private parking space nearby (near to Lathams) and they seemed to be rather sought after... so wherever you book... ensure there is parking.
I'll definintely be going back at some point.
