About this property

Authentic Portuguese villa, stunning tropical garden and great pool.

QUINTA AMARELA

The quinta located in a citrus grove, with a stunning tropical garden and great swimming pool 12 x 6, on walking distance of the center of Moncarapacho a very nice ( sleepy ) village. We have a few cozy restaurants, 3 super mercados, 3 bakeries, 2 benches, a post office, a small fresh market and not to mention a great potter!

Format:
The quinta is divided into two floors, both floors have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a super big balcony or a large terras that gives direct access to the garden.
All of this makes our house very suitable for 2 families, family breaks etc.
Outside the high season, the house can be rented per floor with 2/4/6 persons, you have the whole house, surrounding garden and the orchard for you alone!
Walk through our beautifully landscaped tropical garden with very large swimmimg pool ( 12 x 6 ) and you think you are in paradise!
In our citrus orchard you can pick as many oranges, manderins, avocados, medlar and lemons as you like.

Enviroment:
Our house is 8 minutes from Fuseta beach, very loved by families with young children, for a few euro's you can take a boat to the white beach of Parque Natural da Ria Formosa.
Here mass tourism has not been hit, but the beaches of Barril and Monta Rota are well worth a visit.
The largest city nearby ( 10 min ) is Olhao, famous for its dealy vegetables and fish market. The fish caught at night, bought in the morning and is on your plate in the evening.
Going out for Dutch terms is still very cheap and of course Portuguese wines can not be missed!

We had a wonderful week in this absolutely gorgeous villa. The pool and gardens are even better than shown in the photos. Plenty to keep our whole family happy - 8 adults and 3 young children. The children loved the trampoline and we all enjoyed the fab pool. Rene was friendly, welcoming and helpful from our initial booking until we left. We were all sad to go and would love to go back.

A lovely place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Quinta Amarela. The house is very comfortable and the kitchen is really well stocked. The gardens are beautiful with several shady seating areas and a lovely pool. René is on hand for any issues/ questions. All in all a great place for a holiday. We hope to return.

Beautiful family getaway

Such an amazing holiday house! We (grandparents, children and spouses, and children) spent a wonderful week enjoying family time and making memories. We barely needed to leave the house. The pool and gardens were lovely and the little ones (and not so little) rocked the trampoline. Rene and Coise both very helpful and attentive. Would definitely book again.

Great house, amazing garden and pool

Quinta Amarela is a beautiful villa with great facilities and very well equipped for 12 persons. This is the second time we stay here in September and we really enjoy the large garden and the pool. Also recommend to rent bikes and to visit villages along the coast and for a swim in the sea. René was a really helpful and friendly host.

Family get away

Fabulous property , perfect for our get away 8 adults, 2yr old twins and 6 months old baby. Rene was really helpful before we arrive sorting out extra cots which really useful. Lovely gated pool area with plenty of sun lounges. Loads of pans and dishes which made catering easy and big tables for us all to eat together . We would love to come back again sometime

Wonderful family holiday in a fabulous property.

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday for our family of 9. The Quinta is fabulous in a luxurious setting with lots of space, great pool and other activities - you need not leave the property. Rene, the manager was discreetly on hand to offer local advice and deal with any problems - of which there were none with everything running smoothly. Very highly recommended.

Beautiful, Rustic Villa

The villa was beautiful and located in a quiet, secluded location but only 5 mins drive to the local town. The gardens were lush and beautiful and the pool sparkling clean. With young children it was also good to see that the pool was fully fenced off. We did have a number of issues with the villa around plumbing, aircon and dishwasher however René, the property manager, did an incredible job fixing these quickly. Would definitely recommend this as a wonderful place to stay.

Perfect respite

As beautiful as the pictures. We loved the vegetation on the property and picking oranges to make juice every morning. A very well stocked kitchen as far as having appliances and utensils. Only complaint was the lack of paper products (paper towels/ toilet paper) and cleaning products that we had to buy on our own. Another VRBO we stayed at in Lisbon had a similar issue, so maybe it’s a Portugal thing. Rene the caretaker lives on the property and was attentive to all our needs and concerns and gave some good recommendations including having Ana come to cook our family a meal one night. A good location with short drives to Tavira and Faro and reasonable (40 minutes) for excursions further east like to Albufeira and the beaches around there.

Fab villa with outstanding garden and pool

We spent a great week at Quinta Amarela in late Sept 2024. It is a characterful, spacious villa with 3 bedrooms on each floor (the two floors are completely separate). There are 4x double bedrooms (2 ensuite) and 2x twin bedrooms, but one of the doubles can be made up as a twin. The garden is the absolute stand out feature - very private with stunning mature trees, plants and landscaping, a great (large) pool area with towels supplied too and lots of separate areas to relax or play ping-pong, petanque or bounce on the trampoline. The upstairs terrace is spacious and great for outdoor dining or relaxing with a drink. Some of the outdoor furniture in other areas is a little old. The upstairs kitchen is really well equipped for cooking for a big crowd and there are plenty of plates, cutlery, glasses etc as well as cooking and food prep equipment. The downstairs kitchen is much smaller & not so well equipped but handy for storing drinks for the pool. Most of the bedrooms are of a good size, though the two twin rooms are smaller. All have air con. The downstairs bedrooms felt dark, a few brighter lightbulbs would make a big difference here. Rene manages the property and lives on-site in a cottage by the entry gate. He is always around to help sort out any issues. The style and decor of the whole house is very characterful and stylish, if a tiny bit dated in a few areas - it is a very impressive place and a great location to spend a peaceful, secluded holiday.

Wow!

Wow! What can I say? This is the most amazing villa set in the most beautiful surroundings. The villa is beautifully clean and well presented but the most outstanding feature is the garden. So many little places to sit in the shade and the pool is outstanding. There is bowls and a table tennis table. These get very hot during the day but a quick dip in the pool soon sorts it out. There are also other games for the children to play such as darts, bat and ball and even a bike! We had 11 people to stay in the villa and we didn't feel on top of each other and we all had our own space. René is absolutely fantastic. He is there for every need and offers help whenever you need it. He is quick to act if something needs sorting out and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. He is on hand 24/7 as he lives on site in the little cottage. It is a 25 minute walk into the village which has a couple of good restaurants (Antonio's and Restaurants du Ana) very authentic and reasonably priced. Make sure you have a torch available for the walk back! We had the private chef Ana come and cook for us one evening and that was also a special moment and lots of memories made. At 30 euros pp it was definitely worth it. We had the most fantastic time here, it truly is a place of paradise and we didn't want to leave. The photos do not do this place justice, it is far more beautiful in real life. Thank you Quinta Amerela for the best holiday with three generations of family. Thank you René for your attentiveness and speedy responses (you even sorted out my husband's medical issues!) Thank you. For anyone thinking of staying here - do not hesitate.

Wir hatten mit unserer Gruppe aus Freunden und Kindern eine super Woche hier! Das Haus, insbesondere das Außengelände sind einfach großartig! Die zwei Küchen, die große Terrasse mit dem großen Tisch, der Poolbereich und das insgesamt sehr großzügige Haus sind perfekt für große Gruppen. René war super nett, stand bei Bedarf mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, sodass wir eine wirklich gute Zeit hatten. Wir empfehlen das Haus uneingeschränkt weiter und wünschen allen, die es buchen, eine ebenso tolle Zeit dort!

Séjour familial inoubliable

Nous avons tous, petits, grands et même très grands, adoré séjourner à la Quinta Amarela ! Au cœur d’un paradis luxuriant où se mêlent une multitude d’arbres et d’essences tropicales, la grande villa allie authenticité, charme et confort. La cuisine est très bien équipée, avec tous les ustensiles et vaisselle indispensables en nombre et qualité. Le grand jardin magnifiquement agencé offre des coins d’ombre ou de soleil au choix de chacun et des aires de jeux pour le plaisir de tous. Nous avons également bien profité de la très belle piscine entourée de nombreux transats et parasols. Un grand merci de la part de tous à notre hôte, René, pour son accueil très chaleureux, sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. Notre séjour fût une fabuleuse expérience inoubliable!

Magnifique maison authentique dans un écrin de verdure

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en Famille au sein de la quinta Amarela. Une belle bâtisse accueillante et joliment décorée, la literie est confortable, la cuisine est très bien équipée aussi bien en électroménagers qu’en ustensiles. Les deux niveaux de la maison sont indépendants, ce qui est pratique pour des grands groupes ( nous étions 12 personnes). Le jardin paysager est magnifique luxuriant, avec des essences très variées, doté d’un mobilier de belle qualité et d’une grande piscine. Beaucoup de « stations » différentes qui permettent à chacun de trouver son petit coin. Le jardin est un havre de paix et est très beau de jour comme de nuit grâce à un subtil éclairage. Un verger le côtoie et nous avons dégusté tout au long de notre séjour de délicieuses figues mielleuses, fraîchement cueillies. A noter que pour les familles avec un bébé, tout est prévu, de la literie aux accessoires pour les repas, en passant par la piscine gonflable et les jouets pour le bain…La propriété était un pur enchantement, mais que dire de notre hôte René, très attentionné, prévenant, soucieux du détail , efficace et tout ceci dans une discrétion parfaite. Groene oase en heerlijk huis in de Algarve

We hebben een week in dit heerlijke huis doorgebracht met ons gezin. Het huis is heel groot met veel slaapmogelijkheden. Meteen toen we aankwamen voelde het huis plezierig. Alles is aanwezig en het hartelijke welkom van René maakte het perfect. De tuin is prachtig aangelegd en wij hebben genoten van het heerlijke zwembad, de pingpongtafel en de jeu de boules baan. Olhao en Tavira en Praia de Abril zijn allemaal op ong 20 min rijden en erg leuk om te bezoeken. We hebben genoten! Dank aan René, voor de prettige communicatie en gastvrijheid.

Herbst in der Quinta

Wir hatten eine fantastische Woche in der Quinta. Hervorzuheben sind die großzügigen Räumlichkeiten, die traumhafte Terrasse, der tropische Garten und der wunderschöne Pool. Man kann hier wunderbar die Ruhe genießen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Wären da nicht die weitläufigen Strände und die netten Ortschaften mit ihrem quirligen, portugiesischen Leben, müsste man das Anwesen eigentlich gar nicht verlassen. Und wenn man doch mal Hilfe benötigt, gibt es ja immer noch René, der stets kompetent und hilfreich zur Stelle ist. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt.

Traumerholungsurlaub im Hinterland im tropischen Garten

Wir waren zu viert als Familie für eine Woche zu Gast in dieser schönen Villa. Im EG gibt es den Masterbedroom, Bad über den Gang zu erreichen, ein Schlafzimmer mit En-Suite Bad und ein weiteres "Kinderzimmer" (2 einzelne Betten) das sich das Bad mit dem Masterbedroom teilt. Eine wunderschöne Küche mit Gasherd, bestens ausgerüstet, obwohl wir viel Essen waren ;-). Das Wohn- Esszimmer ist super gemütlich und aufgrund der Abends noch frischen Temperaturen wurde es auch genutzt. Man kann mit einem Holzkamin schön einheitzen und einen Abend vor dem Kamin verbringen. Es schließt sich eine wunderbare Terrasse mit viel Platz an. Perfekt um sich zu sonnen und die Seele im Rauschen der Palmen baumeln zu lassen. Für die Kids gab es WLAN :-), eine Boulebahn, Tischtennis und Platz für Ballspielen. Den großen schönen Pool mit ausreichend Liegen haben wir aufgrund der Temperaturen nicht genutzt. Aber auch das reine Liegen am Pool war herrlich. Im Untergeschoss gibt es wohl eine weitere komplett ausgestattete Wohnung mit mehreren Bädern und Schlafzimmern, allerdings nicht von oben aus zu erreichen. Wir haben nur das "halbe" Haus genutzt. Die Einrichtung war ansprechend, gemütlich und die Betten sehr bequem. Das Beste am Haus war René. ;-) er wohnt auf dem Grundstück in einem extra Häuschen und ist wahnsinnig hilfsbereit und sehr nett. Er war stehts über WhatsApp zu erreichen und immer zur Stelle. Die Kommunikation war sehr einfach. Alle seine Restaurant Tipps waren perfekt! Wir werden wieder kommen!! Die umliegenden Orte und auch die Strände sind jeweils innerhalb von maximal 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Alles easy. Wir waren nach dieser Woche sehr entspannt und haben vorallem auf dem Besuch eines botanischen Gartens verzichtet, den hatten wir ja direkt vor der Tür! Wunderbar.
