We much enjoyed our holiday at 5 Church Square.

We much enjoyed our holiday at 5 Church Square. Parking excellent-designated parking spot and plenty of room.The accommodation was excellent, clean and spacious. Modern bathroom with walk-in shower. A flat full of character (a converted church).The owner was very friendly and helpful and he welcomed us with a large basket of â€œgoodiesâ€ We would certainly like to return.

What a hidden gem this beautiful place to stay is! We arrived, to be greeted by George, who was an absolute gentleman and helped us with our things (we have health issues so this was such a great help for us). We were shown around the apartment which was spotlessly clean, and extremely beautiful and quirky. The history of the building made it so much more inviting along with the greenery, wrought iron work, church windows and pews. The way the owners have carefully converted the church into these lovely apartments is awesome. The whole atmosphere inside and also outside in the lovely garden area is wonderful. Everything you need for a lovely, relaxing holiday is here, from a freezer to a washer/dryer and all the things in between. The bed is extremely comfortable and there is plenty of hot water. Around the area there is plenty to see and do. Thereâ€™s the blacksmiths at Gretna Green, the Caledonia Park outlet at Gretna and even a trip to Carlisle for shopping and a visit to the castle or Cathedral there. We will most definitely return and we highly recommend to all. A massive thanks to George and team for making our stay so perfect!

We stayed three nights while visiting friends who live nearby. We couldn't have found a better place to stay! The property is beautiful and the owners are very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed chatting with them and walking around their gardens. The cottage has been fully remodeled and is very well done. The kitchen/living/dining area is open and very spacious! The kitchen has everything you'd need, along with a full size fridge/freezer! The grounds are lovely, as is the nearby woodland and river. Plenty of places to walk nearby. We only wish the weather had been drier so we could've enjoyed the outdoor patio area more. We would definitely stay here in a heartbeat if we are back in the area! Oh, and our daughters loved going to the fence to say hi to Oscar, the horse next door!
