A great place to spend a vacation!!!!
The villa is great! Located in a very good part of Engelberg with a great view of the lake. The rooms are spacious ,the kitchen very well equipped, the balconies on both floors are great.
We would definetly recommend spending there a vacation or celebrate anything worthwhile.
The owners were very helpfull and very kind.
Great Alpine experience
Our family of ten ( grandparents, parents and grandchildren) stayed at this spacy wellkept Swiss Chalet for 2 weeks. It offered beautiful views of Mount Titlis and all other mountains around us. The location gave us ample chance to exercise, since it is on top of the hill. John and Jaqueline were most welcoming and gave us lots of suggestions and Ideas what to do in and around Engelberg. A big plus also the train comnection to Lucern.
A Perfect Choice for our Family!
We ventured to Engelberg for a family reunion/vacation and what a perfect choice it was for our growing family of 10 (including three grandchildren - 7, 3 and 1). What made it all work was being able to stay in John and Jacqueline's lovely chalet. The bedrooms are beyond cozy and comfortable. We appreciated having a crib for the baby. We enjoyed being having lots of common space to relax and eat together - including the gorgeous deck with post card views of Mt. Titlis. The kitchen is very modern, with excellent appliances and is incredibly well-equipped. The grill on the deck was also top of the line.
John and Jacqueline make themselves incredibly available to answer any questions and assist with even last minute needs.
The house is a short walk into town. Admittedly, the walk down is easier than the walk up, but the three year old handled it without a problem and so did we. While not much is open in the evenings in the summer, the town is delightful and there is much to do for families near by.
We could not have had a more perfect week in Switzerland and wholeheartedly recommend renting this home. We may well come back!
Spacious House in Great Location
John and Jacqueline were great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days in Engelberg. This was a great location for our family of 13 and the large indoor and outdoor dining areas were perfect for our family. We enjoyed the sunroom and outdoor patio with the view of the mountains.
The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for meal preparation. The bedrooms were very comfortable with resort quality bedding. The six bedrooms were perfect for our family of 6 adults and 7 grandchildren.
We had the perfect vacation in Engelberg as we enjoyed the beauty of the alps and the comfort of Eugenia Haus.
Thanks to John and Jacqueline for allowing us to enjoy their home.
Delighted the house was all you wished .
Thankyou very much for your exceptional hard work before leaving,
It was a pleasure to meet you all

Perfect Place from which to Explore Switzerland
If you did nothing else except sit in the winter garden and stare in awe at the Alpine views, you would have a splendid time at Eugenia Haus. However, with the charming village of Engelberg close by and excellent train access to all of Switzerland, our group spent a lot of time exploring. We were a group of 10 family members, who found this to be the perfect place to celebrate together in a spacious, extraordinarily well equipped and beautiful home in a breath-taking setting. John and Jacqueline were so hospitable and helpful in every possible way - from patiently helping us to sort out some booking snafus to answering our every question. We learned so much from our delightful conversations with John! Two of our members had some mobility issues (problems with stairs) and those proves to be no problem with bedrooms and baths on the entry level. We also enjoyed making some traditional Swiss meals in the kitchen which had every amenity that one could desire. I highly recommend Eugenia Haus. Thank you John and Jacqueline for all that you did to make our visit absolutely perfect!
So pleased you had a wonderful holiday.
