It is an interesting several century old set of apartments with a great location. We loved the quirks of such an incredible place with so much history. Once inside the units, it is quite beautiful.
The beds are comfortable, it is clean, and the a/c works well even though it was quite hot outside. Enough towels & toiletries were provided. The kitchens had enough if needed. There was almost zero outside noise if the windows were closed. Nightly loud stomping occurred from above the one bedroom in the third apartment (#4) with the starry night ceiling. Probably happens in many old buildings.
The exact layout of the bedrooms was not clear to us upon renting, but the number of bedrooms is accurate.
There are 3 apartments.
The first has 2 bathrooms, 1 on each floor. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms that are comfortable. However, It may matter to some that the gorgeous loft is open to below for both bedrooms, and the walls to the ceiling of the rooms do not go all the way up. So, if you need privacy, the sound carries from and to each bedroom. The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful.
The 2nd is also gorgeous. There is a bedroom upstairs with the bathroom on the lower level.
The 3rd has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 1st is nice with an attached bathroom including a tub. (Stomper lives above). The 2nd consists of 2 twins beds. The 2nd bathroom was not attached. This 3rd apartment had a large kitchen and living room area that we very much enjoyed. We had a glass of wine while hearing the announcement of the engagement of one of our sons.
The hosts were responsive.
The wifi was spotty, adequate but not if you needed to work.
We thought that there was a dryer inside one of the apartments, however, it is not in the units? When we called to ask about the dryer, the hosts said it was in the building, had someone come, collect, dry, fold, and return our laundry. We were so thankful. I'm not sure if the dryer was broken, but the service was much appreciated.
However, the hosts could make this an even more enjoyable stay. At our other stays, our hosts met us if there would be any confusion on how to access our place and show us around. This happened in Venice, Amalfi, Rome, Riomaggiore. This host sent us a set of instructions, pictures and virtual keys. It was a bit onerous especially after we had a full day. It would be so appreciated if they would meet future guests instead at the building and show them for the first time.
Much apprecited and thank you!
