We had an excellent stay at Green Castle cabin for a long weekend. The home was clean, check-in and check-out was smooth and we appreciated the amenities (Black Stone, hot tub, fire pit and available fire wood.) Wonderful view and our golden retrievers enjoyed the stay as well.

Peaceful and Clean

The house, Green Castle, was lovely and clean. Itis situated on the banks of the Shenandoah River and the large glass windows overlook the river. It is lovely. It is also very well equipped with dishes, silverware and pots & pans etc. we really enjoyed our stay. The only problems were the placement of the bed upstairs. It was so hard to get out of because one side was against the wall. The other problem was the TV service. It was VERY difficult to use. We were there for a family wedding so we were not in the cottage that much.

Beautiful Stay

We loved our stay at green castle cabin! It was great to be right on the water with kayaks and canoes to use and the hot tub was clean with amazing views.

Great stay!!

This house was the perfect spot for a long getaway with friends! The open floor plan on the first floor is great for hanging out and the views are perfect with the windows surrounding it! I would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing on the river

Such a sweet cabin in the woods. My family and I had an amazing weekend relaxing in the river during the day and spending quality time together around the campfire in the evenings. Our dogs loved the getaway as well.

It was a nice comfy cabin and met all our needs. Unfortunately the nearby trail was blocked by a fallen tree but everything else was wonderful. It could be easier to get to the river.

Excellent stay on the Shenandoah River South Fork

This cabin is prime real estate for floating the south fork on Luray. There is a public boat launch 8 miles up the road where you launch, and then float one of the best parts of the Shenandoah River back to the cabin. It is very beautiful here!!

Hi. We had a great time and loved the location and fire pit. Only issue was the low supply of toilet paper and trash bags.

Good break

Great place to stay. Quiet, relaxing long weekend by the river. A few insects in the porch enclosure, but to be expected at this time of year. Cabin clean and tidy. Booking process worked really well. Would love to come back :)

Beautiful!

Waking up to enjoy coffee, looking out the windows at the river, was positively tranquil. This was our first real time out of the house amidst the Covid19 quarantine and we couldn’t have picked a more peaceful location. The house is tucked away but close enough to enjoy an afternoon in town. Thanks for a great getaway at one of our favorite places to visit!

Wonderful Stay on the River

As a group of two couples, this was our second visit to Green Castle hosted by Shenandoah Rentals. They did a wonderful job communicating with us for arrival and departure; Laura and her team were especially helpful moving a kayak to the property for our use. We enjoyed the open space on the first floor for cooking and meals. The deck facing the South Fork of the Shenandoah River provided us with beautiful and peaceful views of the river. The hot tub was especially relaxing after kayaking on the river. We plan to be back next year!
