The views of the bay from Bay View Villa were beautiful but the villa itself inside and out fell well below the standard described. The was much wrong that could have been put right with some care and attention. Some issues e.g. particularly the bathroom which is not fit for purpose, needs substantial input. There is an active building site close to the boundary fence which the owners were aware of but felt no obligation to inform us even though the booking agent (Vrbo) expects potential guests to be told.As well as being noisy the workers had a clear view of the sun loungers and pool. The pool was not clean and the owner said it was because of dust from the building site. We could not use the pool which was not cleaned until day 9 of our stay.On returning home we complained to Vrbo and received a quick positive and professional response.

Nice view.

The accommodations were delightful, and the surrounding vistas were breathtaking. The neighboring towns offered a charming ambiance. The hosts demonstrated professionalism and respected our privacy. Although the villa was modest in size, it provided all the necessary amenities for a family of four. The swimming pool was a remarkable feature. Overall, it was a successful holiday. We express our gratitude for the opportunity to reside in your esteemed villa.

Beautiful views from a lovely villa

My wife and I stayed 9 nights at Bay View Villa1, and wished we could have stayed longer. The villa is compact, not overlooked and perfect for two people, but could easily house four. It has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The view over Souda Bay is incredible. A short walk will take you to the village of Kokkino Chorio with its friendly taverna and well stocked shop. We spent most of our time chilling by the lovely pool, but occasionally ventured out to the nearby coastal village of Almyrida, where there were a number of very good restaurants by the sea. We particularly liked Thalami and Psaros, but there were plenty more to try. Almyrida also had an excellent pharmacy, where all the staff spoke English. If we ever came to this part of Crete again, we would definitely stay at Bay View Villa 1.

Alles in allem super.

Peaceful location with stunning views. Fantastic pool. Loved it & would book again!

We had a fantastic holiday in this house, which was in a beautiful and tranquil place. The views were stunning day and night - we spent hours on the balcony. Fantastic pool with jets and lovely outdoor space. The house was small but well kitted out and we were outside all the time! The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome. The very generous welcome pack was much appreciated. The house and the pool were cleaned regularly. It is isolated and you need a car but we loved that. We would definitely book again - thank you!
