Owner purchased this House in 2013
Why Owner chose Royal Borough of Greenwich
This house contains many features which we designed ourselves and for ourselves. It has been our home for over 5 years and we put lots of love into it. We hope you will enjoy your home away from home here. Original features such as Victorian fireplaces and entrance have been carefully preserved but they are accompanies by modern features such as LAN sockets, remote-controlled lights in the bedroom and smart home heating system with individual room controls. It has been extended and fully refurbished only in 2017. You'll find everything inside is modern and brand new, including large fully-equipped kitchen with all appliances, including washing machine, dryer and a Lavazza coffee machine!

Wonder place to stay in Greenwich!
This was our last stop in a 2 plus week trip in Europe and it was a much needed, very nice place to stay. We were traveling with our 4 children (ages 10 up to 18) and by this time in our trip we really needed a little space as we'd been staying in smaller places and all 6 of us sharing one bathroom. When we arrived in Greenwich the kids spread out in the house and felt at home. My oldest wanted to know if we could just live there :)
The home was sparkling clean and very tastefully decorated. The photos here don't do it justice. We had plenty of linens and dishes as well as a nice washer and separate dryer. This was also the best shower I'd had in 2 weeks! Having 3 bathrooms cut way down on the time it took everyone to get ready.
The area was very walkable and close to public transit, and had lots of good restaurants and grocery shops close by.
We're already planning to visit again next year, but maybe not with all of our kids ;)
just a little more care would make this a lot better
Our biggest disappointment was the garden which was essentially unusable. It was completely overgrown with weeds, the path was blocked by plants growing over it and the garden table was filthy. It was clear that no garden maintenance had been carried out for a considerable period (several months at least). The property windows were also filthy on outside. One of the overhead lights in living room did not work although there is generally too much lighting in property so not a big issue. The plug in the sink in the main bathroom did not work so it was not possible to fill the sink for shaving, washing etc. The iron was old, broken and deposited large amounts of limescale on your clothes if you tried to use it. The kitchen cupboards were full of opened foodstuffs, many of which were not stored in appropriate (or indeed any) containers. It was also disappointing to find that there was no "normal" TV . The kids enjoyed Netflix but it would have been nice to have been able to watch a news programme just to keep up with the world. Lastly, I'd recommend providing two sets of keys as only having one set proved impractical at times. Otherwise all good.
Michael, thank you for choosing our family home for your stay in London. And a special thank you for mentioning that the things which make up 98% of all travel experience, such as sleep comfort, space, furniture, bathrooms & showers, bedding, towels, toiletries etc are 'all good'. I'm really sorry you felt that the minor things you mentioned above in such detail were sufficient to take away the whole 3 stars out of 5 from your rating. You did not mention any of those to me or the cleaner upon arrival and if you did, most of them would have been fixable very quickly. But for the benefit of all future guests I'm happy to report that: 1) Iron, windows and the garden table were properly cleaned and these items were specifically added to the cleaners checklist 2) Garden was fully trimmed in the first week of June (you stayed in July). We had a very hot summer in London in 2019, but it's unfair to say it was completely overgrown. We have a professional gardener who does our garden regularly. 3) Items are occasionally left in the kitchen cabinets by departing guests, and we do no throw them away if they are good quality and have long shelf life (such as tea, coffee, breakfast cereals etc). We do not like waste and in general try to maintain environment-friendly approach to local community and encourage our guests to do the same (such as provide clear instructions for recycling). We do however completely empty and clean fridge and freezer after every stay. 4) As for TV, we never had a broadcast TV in our home, as we prefer to be in control of what and most importantly when we watch. We understand that some people do like to watch live TV sometimes, but we found that literally only 2 guests (out of over 100 we hosted) ever asked about it. The Apple TV that we provide allowed them both to stream anything they wanted to watch (including live sports) directly from their phones to the TV set in the house. Thank you again for you stay and your feedback, it allows us to continue to provide a higher quality vacation experience to families and groups visiting Greenwich and London in general.
Our group of 8 were very enjoy stay t Konstatin's house. The place is clean and easy check in. I will book to stay this property if I come back to London.
Comfortable and Cozy Stay
Spacious and cozy rooms. Fully equipped kitchen but will be good to have bigger pots and pans to accommodate a big group of 8 like us. Unfortunately the sofa bed in one of the room was spoilt and 2 of us had to make do with it by using a heavy luggage to press on it throughout so that the bed doesn't spring up. Location was not ideal as the public transport by train is expensive. If you have a big group, it will be better off taking Uber. But the neighborhood has good amenities like supermarket, restaurants etc. The host was responsive and made exception for us to check in earlier.
Thank you for your review, Celine. I'm happy that you liked the space and found the rooms cozy and neighbourhood having good amenities. For the benefit of future guests, I wanted to clarify that the issue with sofabed you experienced was Ikea's fault, and they have replaced the frame 4 days of your departure, but unfortunately could not deliver it sooner. Train journeys in London are not cheap only if you buy train-only tickets. Travelling by trains in London does not cost more than tube if you use the same contactless card to pay for all your journeys within the same day - TransportForLondon automatically caps it at a daily pass rate for most distant zone you travelled to, so there's no difference. We have also replaced and added pans, pots and cutlery to the kitchen recently. Thank you again for your stay and feedback and we would love to host you once more whenever you're in London with a large group again.
Wonderful, homely property. Very comfortable space to enjoy as a base when in London.
Adored our stay in this house - a perfect location for exploring London whilst enjoying the comforts of a home. Beautifully laid out and a very comfortable space to be in. The house is a credit to the owners who provided excellent information for everything we required. We would certainly stay here again when next in London.
What a wonderful place. We had an event at the O2 for the weekend and we could not have found a better place! The house is as good as it looks in the pictures, if only all holiday let’s could say the same! Immaculately clean. One of the group has even booked it again for another stay and I suspect it will not be the last! Thanks Konstantin.
