Gite Almara is ideal for a peaceful and relaxing holiday
Gite Almara is located in a nature reserve in the heart of the peaceful and unspoilt area of the "Marais Poitevin", nr Fontenay le Comte
The Gite is located in the small village of Le Poire Sur Velluire and is within easy reach of local shops, boulangerie, chemist, hairdressers and local restaurants
The accommodation is equipped to a high standard and offers the comfort of a spacious open plan lounge/ dining room with original beams, fully equipped kitchen with integrated dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave
TV/DVD player, Sky Satellite with Free View Channels, stereo music centre and Wi-Fi internet connection
A selection of books, games and DVD
Downstairs toilet/bathroom with shower and bath
Stairs leading to twin bedroom with en-suite toilet.
Hairdryer provided.
Outside there is a private garden area and a large sun terrace with BBQ, sun loungers and garden furniture.
Bycles for use, including safety helmets.
Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler bag and picnic set provided for beach trips and picnics.
Fontenay Le Comte is the nearest town with a variety of nice restaurants and a number of supermarkets with a fabulous range of food and fine wines.

"Oceanide" in Fontenay le Comte has an excellent indoor & outdoor swimming pool with superb facilities.
The cosmopolitan town of La Rochelle, the chic town of Niort, Futurescope and the theme park Puy Du Fou are all within an hours drive from the Gite.
Explore the canals of the "Venice Verte" by boat in the town of Coulon.
The town of Marans is only a 15 minute drive away and is a great area to relax and enjoy a glass of wine in one of the many restaurants next to the Vendee river, you can also hire a boat for a river trip.
Restaurant boat at Damvix , enjoy the views whilst enjoying a meal on board.
Mervent Forest and the historic town of Vouvont is a short drive away.
Birdwatch in the reserve and be amazed at the number of different birds in the area from night herons, egrets, storks, hoopoe, woodpeckers, worblers, kingfishers and many more.
