This property is in the small, historic center of Turi, which is really pretty with its winding, limestone streets. It is a great location to go to beautiful nearby towns like Trani, Bari, Martina Franca, Locorotondo, and Ostuni. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful - he met us with flowers to let us in the apartment and sent us updates almost daily on things to do in the area. I have always wanted to live in a house with a spiral staircase and this was the best! The kitchen, laundry and half bath are on the top floor which opens up to a large, wonderful terrace where we spent most of our time. There are two large bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor. The first floor has a cozy living room, a half bath and pretty entry hall. The parking is free and close by - never an issue. We loved a “fornello,” called Notarangelo, which is a butcher shop where you choose your meat and arrange the time to pick it up, cooked to perfection on a spotless, modern rotisserie. There is a grocery store and restaurants nearby. We liked a bistro called, Papillegustative Bontá e Vino. We also had a fabulous wine tour and tasting at Tenute Chiaromonte.
