Country feel 10mins from Sarlat

Great stay for two weeks as a family with 3yr old and baby. Extensive grounds to front and rear of chalet (v private) and great pool (although the decking could be updated as we had a couple of splinter incidents!). Owner Severine v helpful throughout with some minor issues and was clear to highlight that no pool guard for our 3yr old at time of booking. Sarlat is a fairly steep but short walk away and beautiful (if touristy) old town.

Beau chalet atypique pour la région bien équipé avec une grande piscine dans une grand jardin et une belle vue sur les hauteurs de Sarlat. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour avec nos enfants malgré la canicule.

A lovely house in a superb location

The house is very striking and very comfortable and well-equipped. There is an extensive garden with lovely views and a very good swimming pool. It is about ten minutes' walk to the centre of town, along a pleasant footpath. Sarlat itself is an extremely attractive town.

Très bel endroit , vivement recommandé.

Belle maison en bois , spacieuse ,confortable , très agréable à vivre . Le très grand jardin est superbe , avec une très belle piscine , sans vis à vis . La maison est située sur les hauteurs de Sarlat , dans un environnement privilégié : la nature à 10 minutes à pieds de la ville .... Au total très belle location dans une très belle région . Location recommandée pour un séjour parfait .

Wonderful, quiet and comfortable place for a family holiday

Beautiful house in perfect situation; in a quiet garden on secluded hillside, not overlooked at all, but 10 minutes walk into Sarlat. House very well equipped, and pool one of the very best we have experienced. The building is wonderful, almost apiece of art, with overlapping and interlocking timbers. We loved the open plan downstairs space Very welcoming host, just a call away if there were any problems (which there weren't) We were there with 4 adults and two children, 6 months and 3 years, and all enjoyed it; we would seriously consider going back, and strongly recommend to anyone else with the same combination Downsides? Steep spiral staircase could be a problem with toddlers or the elderly, but not much else. Overall 5 star

Wonderful open plan wooden house in a great location

House set in a delightful prominent position only 10 minutes walk from the beautiful medieval town of Sarlat. Open plan in design the house offers spacious and characterful accommodation with all modern amenities including a superb pool. We particularly liked the extensive grounds (and associated wildlife) giving a very rural but secluded feel. The owners are very helpful and pleased to assist if required. Great holiday had by all with much to see and do - a place we will definitely return to in the future and strongly recommend.

Comfortable, well equipped and excellent location

Property is perfectly located for making the most of Sarlat, and also for exploring the key sites in the Dordogne. Property is comfortable and well equipped and although right on the edge of Sarlat (10 mins walk at most into town) is situated in nice grounds so feels private. Thoroughly enjoyed our week here.

Fantastic holiday location

Très belle location

Accueil très chaleureux de la charmante propriétaire. La maison est très belle, très propre et spacieuse, presque encore plus belle que sur les photos qui promettaient déjà beaucoup. Bien qu'étant assez près de la ville nous avons vu écureuils et même une biche et son faon traverser le jardin pendant un petit déjeuner sur la terrasse ! Merci aux propriétaires de leur confiance pour nous louer ainsi cette demeure très agréable. Par ailleurs Sarlat est aussi une ville très sympa, et nous avons sillonné la vallée des 5 châteaux en long et en large avec beaucoup de plaisir.

Beautiful house fantastic location

We had a fantastic holiday (family of 5). We were met and greeted warmly by the owner. The house is beautiful and very special. It is well equipped and provides everything you need. It is set in a large garden with loads of wildlife we saw a deer and her young in the garden one evening. The house is not overlooked and offers great privacy. It's a stroll from the town of Sarlat which is beautiful. Would definitely recommend this house and hope to return ourselves someday.

Un havre de paix tout confort

Nous avons passé une semaine en famille formidable. Nous avons reçu un accueil très sympahique de la propriétaire toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions. Le cadre est magnifique et la piscine très agréable. La cuisine est très bien équipée et il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour les enfants/ados (livres, DVD, jeux etc.). Nous avons adoré la région et ses chateaux (Beynac et les Milandes entre autres), le canoë à Vitrac, Sarlat et son ascenseur panoramique, son marché etc. Une mention particulière pour le Gouffre de Padirac (à réserver à l'avance en août pour éviter la queue), somptueux !

Book it - great for familes

The owner provided a proper rental agreement confirming all the terms and conditions. As a family we have taken regular gitte holidays over the past 20 years & whilst some properties have disappointed this one didn't fall into that catergory. The only negative would be the rather vauge directions to find the property. Other than that the stay was wonderful. The owner lives near by - but is unobtrusive & totally charming. Location wise, you really are only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Sarlat - although it took a little longer to wander back in the evenings! The property was clean & well equipped, with loads of character. It was a touch warm upstairs at night, but then the weather was fabulous. Plenty of room outside in the private garden, with a lovely pool. Really couldn't fault this as a holiday home - we would happily return for another 2 weeks.

Impasse Mozart - mein Geheimtipp für Sarlat

Dieses Ferienhaus ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Haus liegt an einem Hang auf einem Riesengrundstück in einer tollen Gartenanlage. Es ist eigentlich uneineinsehbar aber man hat einen tollen Blick auf Sarlat und die Umgebung. Das Háus macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck, die technischen Geräte sind allesamt in Ordung (DVD-Player, TV, Pay TV Orange, WiFi).Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, viele Antiqutitäten, so wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. Die Abwicklung mit dem Mietvertrag und die Bezahlung des Mietpreises / Kaution wurde problemlos abgewickelt. Die Kontaktaufnahme mit der Vermieterin war einfach hervorragend (Austausch über SMS, e-mail, Post). Der Ortskern von Sarlat ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, Somit kann man zu jederzeit in Sarlat shoppen oder Bars und Restaurants aufsuchen, meine Empfehlung ist das Le Presidial. Nochmals meinen herzlichen Dank an die Familie S. Goupiel. Wir haben hier eine tolle Woche verbracht (2 Ehepaare). Ich kann dieses Haus nur empfehlen und falls ich noch einmal nach Sarlat komme, dann kenne ich bereits mein Domizil. Ich freue mich schon darauf. U. Johannsen

Bel endroit dépaysant

Excellent séjour dans une maison au charme fou.

Séjour trés agréable dans une location de qualité au charme indéniable. Prestations parfaitement conformes à la description. Situation idéale, au calme, sur un immense terrain clos sans vis à vis à seulement 10min de marche du Sarlat historique (stationnement trés difficile pendant les vacances). Accueil particuliérement chaleureux par la propriétaire. Location que je recommanderais sans hésitation pour réussir ses vacances dans cette magnifique région.
