Beautiful property in a beautiful location with countryside views all around - yet only 5 minutes from Sarlat old town.The property was in need of an airing when we arrived but this could have been down to us being the first renter for the season.The upstairs bedrooms were quite dark due to the old wooden beams and the excessive amount of wood cladding in both bedrooms. The weather was very warm and the heat was quite uncomfortable for sleeping overnight despite the availability of floor standing fans.The outside space was excellent and the front terrace was a great place to spend time either soaking up the sun or sitting in the evening shade.All in all, an excellent gite.

Relaxing stay in beatiful surrunding

The house is ina quiet location, yet do central that you can reach many cultural highlights of the region in a short time. Christine gave us a war welcome and was a always available for questions during our stay. We can recommend the accomodation to anyonenwho is interested in a lot of culture and at the same time looking for a retreat

A perfect hideaway close to Sarlat

We loved the setting, character and facilities of this lovely house. Set in the hills with bucolic views and a 15 minute safe cycle ride from the centre of Sarlat. Our host Christine met us and was very kind helping us out when our car broke down. Everything you need is at the property. Highly recommended

Sarlat stay

Beautiful property in a very nice location. There is some nouse from the nearby road but that is not intrusive and is iften lost in the sound of the occasional donkey, peacock, chicken, cow, woodpecker or bird of prey sounds. Very close to Sarlat for the morning walk in for cafe and croissants. Lovely holiday.

Lovely getaway.

Christine met us at the property and showed us around which was lovely. The house is beautiful with everything you need and more. It is perfectly located 10 minutes from Sarlat and set in beautiful surroundings. Other people have said how quiet it is but it depends on your definition of quiet. For me, I like to be away from 'human' noise so this was spot on - no neighbours to be heard 😊 you can however hear the busy main road you turn off to come up to the cottage. This didn't bother me as I got used to it but did bother my husband. We both loved the house though and would definitely stay again 😊 perfect base for the Dordogne Valley.....only a 15-20 minute drive from Beynac, Chateaunaud, La Roque Gageac etc.....

Wonderful cottage near Sarlat

My wife and I rented this property for the month of May (2023). We really enjoyed our stay in the Dordogne in large part because of this great cottage. The house is located on a private driveway and surrounded by fields. There are neighboring houses visible, but not close by: birds and cows are your traffic. When outdoors the motorway can occasionally be heard, but not inside. The place is not walking distance to the main center of Sarlat--you will need a car and you will need one to go to the town. The location is close to all of the attractions in the area, making day trips very convenient in all directions. The interior is larger than the pictures suggest. The house is well taken care of, spotless, and in great condition. There are multiple outdoor spots, especially a large deck where we enjoyed evenings (weather permitting). Christine has limited English and our French is limited, but we adored working with her: she was very thoughtful and responsive. One tip: be sure to ask where the garbage drop off location is.

Hervorragend, erholsam. Man lebt perfekterweise einigermaßen ruhig - die Umgehungsstraße ist zu hören, wird abends aber ruhiger - und abgeschieden außerhalb, ist aber zu Fuß in 20 Minuten mitten in Sárlat (oder mit dem Auto in 5). Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, freundlich und absolut unkompliziert. Also perfekt für uns.

Excellent ! Nous avons passé 2 semaines de vacances idéales dans cette belle maison en pleine campagne. Tout est exactement conforme à la description, c'est la maison idéale pour visiter cette magnifique région. A moins de 5 mn en voiture du centre de Sarlat ou de la zone commerciale. Mais parfaite pour se reposer et profiter de la nature environnante, bien au calme. Nous avons même eu la visite de chevreuils un soir que nous mangions sur la terrasse ! Christine et Michel sont des hôtes très accueillants et bienveillants. Nous recommandons totalement.

Tolles Haus, geräumig und mit allem Notwendigen perfekt ausgestattet. Ruhige, ländliche Lage, trotzdem verkehrsgünstig gelegen, das schöne Perigord lässt sich von hier aus gut erkunden. Übergabe und Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war angenehm und unkompliziert.

Vacaciones en la naturaleza cerca de Sarlat

La casa es muy grande, está muy bien equipada y está ubicada en una finca maravillosa rodeada de naturaleza. Cuenta con una terraza estupenda con mobiliario de jardín. Para ir a Sarlat es necesario ir en coche, hay varios aparcamientos en el pueblo, tanto de pago como gratuitos. Sin duda, una opción estupenda si buscas tranquilidad.

Un séjour très agréable
