Old farmhouse dating from the 17th century entirely renovated. Facing south at 550 m altitude. Panorama of the Regional Park of sight.

Building located in the middle of a private property of 40ha (hardwood and softwood plantations). 4 km of forest trails private.

Quiet absolutely guaranteed, pure and natural environment, no noise, visual and atmospheric pollution !

Ideal place to rest and recuperate. Mountain biking and hiking from the house, a lot of tour from the house for half day or full day (sites, villages, towns, vineyards ...)

Tiled swimming pool heated to 25 ° from June 1 to September 15, 10, 8 x 5m with jet massage and bubble bath. Salt water swimming pool filled with spring water, treated to hydrolysis, without any addition of treatment chemicals. Curtain electrical safety for children.

4 charming rooms. 3 bathrooms. 3 toilets. Possibility of adding a bed a place to get to 8 beds.
80 m² living room overlooking the pool, walls and vaulted stone, mezzanine, 7 meters high batten.
Fully equipped kitchen (23m ² + 12m ²), fully equipped laundry

150m ² of terraces on the ground floor with outdoor swimming pool, providing a plancha and large umbrellas and all the furniture.

For tenants from outside the summer season, the house is equipped with central heating and 3 large open fireplaces. Our stock of wood is directly accessible from the house and is available to the occupants.

During the autumn and spring nature is absolutely beautiful! We have the chance to collect morels in April as well as Cèpes, Chanterelles and Coulmelles of May / June and September / October. We perceive a lot of deer, large birds of prey and other animals .

The specialty of our village is cuminaire chestnut, one can acquire the 'Low Maitairie' chestnut cream, candied chestnuts, chestnut syrup, roasted chestnuts, chestnut flour but also honey and nuts , red fruits jam!
A few miles away, there are excellent deli very reasonable prices.
For wines, let's take advantage of this stay in Rocadel to taste the wines of Saint-Chinian !

En harmonie avec la nature.

Nous venons de passer la dernière semaine d’aout 2019. A la lecture des différents commentaires, il nous apparait difficile de faire mieux. Tout est tellement vrai. C’est bien la première fois, que nous avons été aussi bien en harmonie avec la nature. Et ce silence si propice au repos ; Indescriptible ! Nous ne pouvons que vous inviter à vivre par vous-même cette formidable expérience. Un grand merci à Marie Béatrice et Bernard pour leur accueil si humain et chaleureux. Ce n’est surement pas la fin de l’histoire…

Leven als God in Frankrijk

We beleefden een topvakantie samen met onze 2 dochteres en 2 labradors in deze prachtig gerenoveerde, perfect uitgeruste woning in een even mooie en idyillische omgeving. Hier kom je perfect tot rust, kan je genieten van de lokale culinaire producten , een duik nemen in het chloorvrije zwembad, een boek verslinden, de nabije of verdere omgeving verkennen te voet, met de wagen of per fiets (steile klimmetjes of heel wat gemakkelijker via "la voie verte" doorheen het dal)... Kortom super aanrader! PS: vriendelijke, persoonlijke en aangename ontvangst door de eigenaars.

Beautiful house in idyllic setting with exceptional hosts

Where to start.... We had an amazing two week stay at this house. The pool, the view, the gardens, the view, the stars, the well appointed house, the view. Bernard and Marie were incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming. Quite simply, after renting many properties in France over the years, La Rocadel has been by far our favourite. Thank you Marie and Bernard.

Havre de paix et de bonheur !

Nous avons passé deux semaines magnifiques dans cette splendide bergerie restaurée. Au milieu de la nature, à l'abri des tourments de la ville, vous prenez vos repas à la terrasse avec des paysages reposants au pied de la magnifique piscine. Le calme qui y règne peut être déstabilisant mais si vous recherchez le moyen de "déstresser"...c'est ici ! Merci à Bernard et Marie Béatrice , super accueil et de très bons conseils (notamment pour les randonnées). On croise les doigts pour avoir la chance d'y retourner un jour. Christophe & Odile

Gorgeous house in a lovely location

We have just spent a glorious week at Rocadel (two families with children). Bernard and Marie were delightful hosts and gave us lots of advice about things to do in the area, but we found the house so lovely that we hardly left it! The views are stunning during the day and we loved star gazing at night from the outdoor sofas. The pool is perfect - with steps, jacuzzi and massage jets. We appreciated the salt treatment which is much more pleasant than chlorine and we enjoyed the table tennis and the various games. The house was charming, and with thick walls and good shutters it stayed cool in the hot weather. The kitchen was really well equipped with plenty of space - keen cooks will be happy here. There was a table to dine in the kitchen, a huge table in the main room and also tables on 2 terraces. And there are good supermarkets and little delis within 10 minutes drive. So all in all a lovely choice - and we hope to return!

Calme Absolu et maison incroyable

Après un accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires, Nous avons découvert un jardin immense (un parc) avec des séquoias et une vue sur toute la vallée. Plusieurs chemins permettent de réaliser de très belles promenades sans même sortir du parc. La piscine chauffée est très grande avec des jets massant et un bac de bulles. Une série de tables et de fauteuils extérieurs ornent la terrasse. L'intérieur de la maison est très joli avec une enfilade de pièces charmantes. Une multitude de souvenirs de famille ornent les murs qui donneront aux vacanciers l'envie de découvrir cette demeure pleine de vie. à découvrir

Simply the best!

We loved every moment of our stay at le Rocadel and If you love nature and traquility, so will you. We were greeted warmly by M. et Mme Belllucci, the charming owners of this vast renovated farmhouse, and they spent time explaining about the house and telling us about the area. Outside, the heated pool is wonderful and views from the property breathtaking. There are several walks you can take directly from the house. The interior of farmhouse is wonderful, with its double height ceiling in the lounge area, exposed stonework and massive beams. The kitchen has everything you could ever need and I can't recommended this property enough!

Magnifique endroit

Prachtige woning, heel rustig gelegen in het bos. Veel wandelmogelijkheden vanuit de woning. Grote woning met grote kamers. rondom terrassen, veel zon en een prachtig verwarmd zwembad! Warme ontvangst door heel vriendelijke eigenaren! Heel hulpvaardig en bezorgd, zorgen ervoor dat je een perfecte vakantie hebt! Nous avons passer un formidable sejour dans un endroit magnifique! Tres calme, vraiment parfait pour se reposer. Tres grand maison, grand chambres, le jardin, paysage etait magnifique. On a fait chaque jour un promenade dans le bois. Les proprietaires sont tres sympathique et nous ont acceuillis tres chaleureusement. Nous avons rien manquer! Nous la recommandons chaudement a tout le monde! That jaw-dropping rare find

If you don't happen to have a relative who owns a spacious house on sprawling French countryside, you've just come upon the next best thing. The owners make you feel like family from the moment you arrive (while you're trying to peel your eyes away from the incredible surroundings.) A stay at Le Rocadel unfolds: every day, and sometimes many times a day, you'll notice some detail in the house that will make you appreciate, once again, how much love this couple has poured into their home--and how lucky you are to spend a slice of your life there. We stayed with our two children (a teenager and a baby) for two weeks and couldn't be happier. If you're a cook, you'll love the fully-equipped kitchen, not to mention the various markets in nearby towns.

Très belle propriété, maison spacieuse de caractère, environnement très calme.

La maison, issue d'une réhabilitation réussie, est jonchée de souvenirs familiaux qui lui donnent une âme très personnelle. le confort est très personnalisé, témoin de la présence régulière des propriétaires. A perfect location for a perfect vacation

My family and I were spending 1 week in this magical property "Le Rocadel". It started with a very welcoming check in by the lovely hostess Marie, everything was as described and shown in the photos and even more: wonderful bedrooms with very comfortable mattresses, huge and fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room with a very generous dining area. All is decorated with the owner’s good taste. The outdoor offers a beautiful, well taken care of garden surrounded by a wild forest, it was ideal for us taking mornings or evenings walks, picking up some mushrooms for a breakfast omelet, visiting the creek and the rest of the natural forest or just enjoying the heated swimming pool and the panoramic view. We will definitely recommend and come visit again. אני ומשפחתי בילינו במשך שבוע במקום הקסום הזה שנקרא "הרוקדל". הביקור נפתח עם סיור מודרך בניצוחה של מרי המקסימה. הכל היה בדיוק כמו שתואר באתר ואפילו יותר: חדרי שינה נהדרים עם מזרנים מאוד נוחים,מטבח ענק ומצוייד בכל מה שצריך, סלון מרווח ופינת אוכל נדיבה. הכל מעוצב בטעמם המשובח של בעלי הדירה. החוץ מציע גינה יפהפייה ומטופלת המוקפת ביער טבעי שהיה אידאלי עבורנו לטיולי בוקר או ערב, לליקוט פטריות ולבקר בנחל הקרוב ובשאר היער או פשוט להנות מהבריכה המחוממת ומהנוף הפנורמי. אנחנו בהחלט ממליצים ונשוב לבקר בקרוב.

WUNDERBARER URLAUB

Wir haben zwei wunderbare Wochen in Le Rocadel verbracht. Sehr schönes und sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus. Unglaublich schöne und ruhige Lage. Herrlicher und sehr sauberen Pool. M. und Mme. Bellucci waren sehr angenehm und freundlich und hatten viele gute Vorschläge für Ausflüge. Wanderungen, Märkte, Stausee, Beziers, etc. Alles sehr schön. Nur Positives zu berichten!!

Des vacances inoubliables !

Nous avons passé un formidable séjour dans un endroit privilégié où nous avons pu profiter d'un magnifique paysage et d'une tranquillité absolue. A breathtaking experience

I rented this house for a week in July 2015 and it was the most wonderful experience! The house is truly amazing - beautifully decorated, with wonderful rooms, lots of space and all the amenities one can wish for. The nature around the house is absolutely stunning. We went for nice walks and enjoyed the creek nearby. The swimming pool is gorgeous - big, very clean and with salt water. I can really recommend visiting this place. We went with 4 children from 1-5 and it was perfect! This place has many interesting sites within driving distance and is close to markets, wine yards etc. Thank you so much, Marie and Bernard, for your warm welcome and for sharing your lovely home. It is a true treasure!

Villa magnifique

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances dans cette villa magnifique. (6 adultes, 3 enfants en bas âge) Il n'y manque RIEN!! Nous avons profité de la piscine, d'un grand soleil, du calme et de la beauté du paysage. Les petits déjeuners sur la terrasse avec le soleil qui se lève....le calme..et une vue MAGNIFIQUE sur une forêt à perte de vue...que demander de plus... Nous avions prévu de bouger et visiter 2-3 endroits, et au final, nous n'avons rien fait de tout cela. Nous sommes restés à la villa, à profiter de la piscine (parfaitement propre!!!... oui oui il faut le signaler :) :) !!!!!) et de ce merveilleux endroit ! Magnifique!

Tout a été dit. Magnifique location dans un superbe environnement. Calme absolu. Très belle piscine bien exposée, grandes terrasses, jardin très soigné avec de beaux massifs de fleurs, table de ping-pong. La maison est impeccable, belle et agréable à vivre. La cuisine est particulièrement bien équipée..on devine que les propriétaires sont de fins cuisiniers...ce qui nous a été confirmé par le boucher local du Palais des Saveurs...;-) Equipement 5 étoiles et livres de recettes à disposition. Les propriétaires sont charmants et soucieux du bien-être de leurs locataires. Merci à eux!

Memorable vacation

We had a wonderful vacation at la ferme Rocadel. The hosts are very gracious and friendly and they welcomed us warmly. The house, the pool and the environs all made fore a memorable holiday. The house and pool were beautifully outfitted. The scenery from the house, and also in the area, was absolutely gorgeous. It was a great location from which to explore this part of France. We went on several hikes in the area and enjoyed them all. There were many interesting sights to see, all within easy access by car, from this location. The people in the area were very friendly. This was one of our most favourite vacations and we hope to return some day soon.

Superbes vacances

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances en famille (à 7). Calme absolu, très beau temps, pleine nature. Nous avons pu apercevoir une biche et son faon dans le jardin, des écureuils, les piverts , les lézards etc... La bâtisse est imposante, très bien équipée et décorée avec goût. Piscine très agréable . Nous avons été très chaleureusement accueillis par Bernard et Marie Béatrice et bien renseignés sur la région. Nous avons choisi de visiter Saint Pons, Olargues, Roquebrun, Carcassonne, le Minervois, lac de Vesoles et avons fait la descente de l'Orb en Kayak ... Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le bon vin et les petits restaurants (Le Bambou, Le Funambule, la Ferme et certainement l'Assiette Gourmande) . Nous vous recommandons vivement cette adresse pour passer des vacances tranquilles en pleine nature.

Tout simplement MAGNIFIQUE!!!!

Je poste cette appréciation avec regret.... Pourquoi?.... Tout simplement parce qu'elle va contribué à la notorité de cette maison.... et de plus en plus d'utilisateurs d'Abritel vont vouloir y séjourner.... et ce sera de plus en plus difficile pour nous de trouver un créneau de location. Allez... Tant pis... Je me lance... ;-) La maison est tout simplement magnifique... on s'y sent vraiment chez soi. Il y a tout le confort : une cuisine super équipée (du couteau de cuisine à la belle vaisselle), des jeux de société, des déguisements, une très belle décoration avec plein d'objets anciens, une bonne literie, une buanderie.... Le parc.... : SUBLIME... La maison est située au milieu d'une forêt, des sentiers de randonnées sont directement accessibles depuis la maison (même si nous ne les avons pas pratiqués.... nous étions si bien au bord de la piscine), de magnifiques hortensias, un jardin d'herbes aromatiques, des framboises, des arbres majestueux.... Un vrai bonheur!!! Le calme ABSOLU.... seulement le chant des oiseaux et le bruit du vent dans les arbres.... La piscine : l'endroit que nous avons le plus fréquenté était chauffée à 25° ce qui est très agréable en début de saison. Merci à Bernard et Marie de nous avoir permis de profiter du Rocadel pendant ces vacances et de s'y sentir comme à la maison.... nous espèrons pouvoir y revenir bientôt... Catherine et Olivier. PS : Désolés pour les allers et retours à la benne ;-)

Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Etwas vergleichbares haben wir bisher nur selten gefunden. Das großzügig geschnittene, nett renovierte Bauernhaus liegt mitten in einem Naturschutzgebiet und hat einen herrlichen Blick auf die Hügel. Die Tiere des Waldes sind die einzige Geräuschquelle. Spaziergänge und Wanderungen kann man direkt vom Haus aus starten; es gibt aber auch viele lohnende Ziele in der näheren Umgebung. Nach der Rückkehr erfreuten uns der beheizte Pool und der gut funktionierende Kamin – die Nächte sind auch im Juni kühl. In der großen Küche fehlt es an nichts, das Haus ist prima für Leute, die gern kochen. Alles ist in hervorragendem Zustand. Man merkt, dass die Eigentümer selbst viel Zeit hier verbringen. Wir haben hier eine schöne Woche verbracht und können das Haus wärmstens empfehlen.

Le Rocadel responde a las expectativas más exigentes: bien equipada, cuidadosmente decorada, excelente ubicación. Los propietarios son encantadores. Incluso en invierno, es un sitio excelente donde disfrutar de paseos y visitas y regresar al calor de la chimenea y la calefacción. Cualquier estación del año es buena para habitar "Le Rocadel". Volveremos, seguro. La mejor de las muchas que hemos visitado

A fantastic property and location

We had a fantastic time at Le Rocadel, a beautifully restored farmhouse full of character and with all the amenities you could wish for. We all loved the swimming pool - treated only with salt - and loved exploring the property's woods and streams. The cooking facilities are excelllent, indoors and out, and the accommodation is very spacious and of a very high standard. The location of La Rocadel is private and peaceful yet not too far from the shops at St Pons and Labastide. It is the perfect base to explore the Herault, or to just spend time relaxing. We would recommend Le Rocadel to anyone, and thanks to Bernard and Marie for sharing their wonderful home with us. Fishlock family, Wiltshire, England

He took us11 years to renovate this old farmhouse, at the very moment we were both manager employed in Paris. Since we moved to Montpelier, life is beautiful, we enjoy the Rocadel almost every weeek-end with our 3 children. We love old houses, old buildings, tranquility, all that we missed for 21 years in Paris!

Why they chose this property

This house is in the heart of a family property since 1880. It is a place full of childhood memories because it was the place of the summer holidays. We are pleased to share the beauty of the place to our guests. The decision to renovate the building that fell completely ruin was completely irrational given the extent of the renovation fund and that it is not our primary residence, it was simply a 'fall in love'.

What makes this property unique

It is above all the exceptional environment and the architecture of the main room, this old barn with a stone vault wonderful that led us to begin the renovation.
