We enjoyed a.very comfortable stay and wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at this home in Raleigh . The kitchen was spacious and in good condition . The bathrooms are a nice size and seemed like new . We enjoyed the large neat yard . Beautifu neighborhood close to stores .
We were welcomed with cookies & a bottle of wine which was a very nice touch! The house was roomy & the fenced in yard was perfect for bringing the dog.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Raleigh house. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner , Don Martin, who was always quick to reply to an email & answer questions.
I was disappointed that we couldn't take advantage of sitting on the deck since the outdoor furniture wasn't in the best condition. However we did use the bbq which was brand new!
The house is a bit dated & could use a thorough cleaning, but I would definitely recommend staying here & would return if we found ourselves visiting Raleigh again.
Advice for those with children- tv is extremely limited & cable constantly goes out. That would be my biggest complaint - which isn't the worst thing in the world! Just irritating!
This was the perfect spot for our stay with 3 generations together, including a 6 week old and an 3 year old. We were ideally located for visiting our son. The house is located in a very nice residential community so it was quiet -- and we saw a lot of wildlife right in the backyard. The house and yard could use a bit of maintenance, but was well-equipped for our needs. The driveway was a challenge!
Lovely house in a great neighborhood was a terrific "home base" for our extended family, in town to celebrate our daughter's engagement. Convenient location, easy to hop on the 540 and get to all Raleigh area locations. Nice neighborhood for a walk, easy to stroll to the Greenway and have a nice (~2 mile) walk to Durant Park. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and a plate of cookies, a very nice gesture. The large kitchen was a great plus for our group. The driveway is quite steep, but manageable. We would stay here again.
Our small group was in Raleigh to attend the NCAA Basketball Tournament and found the house a great location for us as it was adjacent to the main highway leading to the PNC Arena. Don met us at check-in and provided helpful suggestions for finding restaurants and activities in the area. Clean, well-maintained property in a quiet neighborhood - great alternative to hotel rooms for the long weekend!
We had a great time staying in North Raleigh. The house is great for families. The driveway is steep but manageable. Short walk to beautiful greenways, 2 miles to wonderful Durant Nature Park. The house is a bit dated and not as pristine as some may like, but it fit our needs and we would rent again there. Thank you.
