15th Century Apartment Close to the Duomo And Ponte Vecchio
- english, italian
I am passionate about music from the 1960s and 70s, and play in a band when time permits. I love animals, sports, good cinema, travel, and I love the arts. I love meeting new people, and I am passionate about my Florence and Tuscany.
Fabrizio purchased this Apartment in 2013
Why Fabrizio chose Duomo
This is the original centre of Renaissance Florence. Just steps from the appartment is the Medici-Riccardi Palace, home of the powerful Medici family, who ruled Florence, and brought it to the world stage during the renaissance. This area is a mix of small craftsmens' workshops and monumental florentine grandeur, and this mix makes it a very special and unusual part of my city. I love the idea that the Medici, and artists like Michelangelo once walked these streets.
What makes this Apartment unique
This apartment is right in the centre of the historical centre, with easy access to all of Florence's monuments, galleries and amenities, yet it offers pretty views, plenty of light, and it is on a quiet street. This is an extraordinary combination for historical Florence. Its colours and proportions make it welcoming, warm and restful, so it's perfect after a day on your feet.

We stayed here for our longest trip across northern Italy and we're so glad the location was so central. We only took backpacks on our trip so being close to the train station was great. All the destinations were close walking distance as well. The apartment was big enough for the 2 of us but would be good for more people. We appreciated the wine and gift that was there waiting for us when we got there as well.
Needs some updates
Fabrizio was very nice but the apartment needs some attention. Bathroom facility was quite difficult to use, wash machine had some issues, only one towel for each person for 3 days, no wine glasses, the lift way too small. We love Florence but would not stay again.
Florence at its Best!
Fabrizio's apartment is in the heart of Florence and is the perfect location from which to venture into the city. It is close to the major train station, Santa Maria Novella, and you are greeted by either Fabrizio or someone of his staff who accompanies you to and shows you your way around the apartment. The apartment itself is very neat and clean with the tiniest of bathrooms. The bedroom is huge! The living area is of nice size with a typical European galley kitchen. The washer and air conditioner are added perks to this great place. Highly recommend Fabrizio's apartment.
Very nice spacious apartment set in a nice area of Florence. Very close to the Accademia, shopping, and restaurants. Everything was very clean and the air conditioning worked fantastic. We would stay here again and definitely recommend!
Great location . Charming apartment
Perfect location . Right across from Lorenzo Church We loved the marketplace just around the corners . Easy walk to the Duomo . Recommend the wine tour with Fabrizio
Great location in the heart of Florence
Fabrizio was helpful it is a comfortable clean flat. The photos represent the property well. I would give it 5 stars, except for the noise from the street carts in the early mornings. If you are used to city noise it might not bother you.
A beautifully appointed apartment in a very quiet street in the middle of historical Florence. Just a stone's throw from the Medici Chapel, the Basilica of San Lorenzo, Florence Duomo and Michelangelo's David, This is the original centre of Renaissance Florence. Just steps from the appartment is the Medici-Riccardi Palace, home of the powerful Medici family, who ruled Florence, and brought it to the world stage during the renaissance. This area is a mix of small craftsmens'
workshops and monumental florentine grandeur, and this mix makes it a very special and unusual part of my city. Full of great restaurants, trattorie and osterie, this area also offers some of the city's best places to eat, as well as easy on-foot access to the city's historical centre and its many museums, galleries and monuments.
For trips further afield, I can offer you private tours to Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca and the stunning Cinque Terre, or if you prefer a shopping trip, I can take you to the renowned Prada factory outlet, The Mall (Armani, Gucci, Ferragamo, Bottega Veneta and many others), or to the Barberino outlet to the north of the city, all for special daily or half-day rates. We are also in wine heaven here, with plenty of opportunities to discover some of the best red wines available, with wine tasting tours that take in some of the most beautiful vinyards in the Chianti, Montepulciano and Montalcino areas.
