About Terry Moore

William T. Moore - aka "Terry" a retired Ford Pipefitter by trade, has dabbled in small property rental management over the last 20 years. He shares this passion with his partner who also has 5 years of rental property experience and directed him towards a vacation rental in the heart of the Cedar Island area located in Kingsville Ontario. Together they are very excited about making this little Gem live up to its full potential in the years to come.

Terry Moore purchased this cottage in 2016

Why Terry Moore chose Kingsville

Maybe it was coincidence, maybe divine intervention, but Terry grew up in a small township not far from the area called Blytheswood, a few kms from Leamington & Kingsville. The Moore family is related by marriage to the "Scratch" clan that were part of the early settlers in the area.

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Terry is a great host, he met us at his place and made us feel at home. The back deck and covered porch was perfect to have coffee in the morning and campfire at night. We loved launching our kayaks and Terry’s canoe right off the back deck and did some fishing. The beach was soooo close and was great for swimming. Terry has tons of seating and the cottage was well appointed for our needs. We loved the Heritage bakery, the Heritage brewery in Harrow. We also loved visiting Point Pelee National Park, Go Karting and Freddie’s for great food. We took the ferry to Pelee Island then found a great zodiac tour of the surrounding islands. Dean at Pelee Island charter was awesome. Who knew there are Pelicans in Lake Erie? The kayaking and canoeing from Terry’s place is amazing and you can go for a long time. Thanks so much we loved our stay, perfect location, our group and dogs had a blast.

Better than expected!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time booking with VRBO and we chose one of the properties that seemed closer to a beach. The outside of this cottage is deceiving because it looks small but it's actually so spacious inside! All the renovations were great, and we were provided with things like firewood, a canoe, and there was a cute little barn bar right next to the home! On top of the great place, Terry was friendly and was extremely helpful. He made sure we were comfortable and gave us recommendations throughout our stay. Definitely somewhere we'd want to stay at again!

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed for a week at this cottage. It was very comfortable and roomy. It had everything we needed as well. Terry greeted us at the cottage and showed us around. the beach was close by which was great shallow for our young children . we also drove to a large beach about 15 minutes drive if you have young kids its prefect with splash pad huge beach and lake, playground called seacliff park. Very nice quiet getaway.

Property was ok, very basic

  • 2 of 5

we have been going to the cottages every year. This was the worst experience we had. The location is good. But other then that it’s very basic. Have 3 bedrooms, living & dining area. But only has two small portable AC only in living & dining area. Which is not at all enough. also outside the property was not clean at all. we were stuck at the wrong time becos of fish bugs. We could not go out in the evening at all.

It’s not advisable to go around July long weekend.

Owner's Response: This review was not written by the person that booked the cottage. He told me that he enjoyed his time at the cottage, except for the fish flies.
