Happy Times at Maison Neuve

A characterful old farmhouse with open hearths and comfortable seating both inside the house and in the outdoor living area. Christel and Alain were very helpful and attentive hosts and we would throughly recommend this property who wanted an unusual but welcoming and comfortable holiday

Fabulous 590 year old house near Bergerac

This lovely old house sits quietly in a tiny hamlet 15 minutes drive from Bergerac. It has a large garden shared with the owners who live next door. Darcey, our boxer dog, loved meeting fellow pooches from next door. The house is a one minute drive from the main N 21 road so it’s easy to get anywhere easily and quickly. The hosts Christel and Alain are kind and friendly - nothing is too much trouble and they gave us a fab recommendation for a local restaurant.

Peaceful location in historic stone house.

Alain and Christel gave us a warm welcome. They showed us around the property and generously shared homemade treats & a bottle of Bergerac wine. The 500 + year old home has beautiful stone work, wood beams and antiques. Two kitchens, 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators was so handy for our group of 4 adults. The house stays cool in the main living areas and there are 4 fans inside and 1 outside in the fabulous outdoor kitchen. The big trees provide shade and it’s lovely to take walks in the area. Fields of sunflowers, woods, and sweet donkeys down the road provide peaceful charm. One note for coffee lovers
 the coffee maker takes about 45 minutes to brew.

Superb House - wonderful outside kitchen

The house has a wonderfully peaceful location in a hamlet of 4 buildings including the owners next door. The building is kept cool by the 16th century design and the owners have added a fascinating collection of artefacts adding character, Creature comforts are not forgotten with two good bathrooms each well equipped. There was more than enough space for the two of us and a party of 8 would be comfortable. The stand out feature is the outdoor kitchen. It has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. How Christel and Alain manage to keep the inside of those cupboards so much cleaner than ours at home indoors I will never understand. Not a cobweb anywhere!! The owners are extremely helpful and friendly but also fully respectful of their guests privacy. Our thanks to them both.

Nous avons passĂ© un excellent sĂ©jour au calme dans les campagnes de Bergerac mais toutefois Ă  proximitĂ© des villes (pour les amateurs de vieilles pierres, de marchĂ©s et de shopping). Suffisemment de lacs oĂč passer des aprĂšs midi au soleil. CanoĂ«s, promenades aux alentours. Sans oublier ses chĂąteaux et dĂ©gustations de vins. Un grand plus, une cuisine de jardin super Ă©quipĂ©e pour passer des soirĂ©es trĂšs agrĂ©ables.

Nous avons passé un trÚs agréable séjour dans cette grande maison décorée avec goût dans le charme de l'ancien, trÚs propre avec toutes les commodités. La cuisine d'été est vraiment un plus, nous y avons pris tous nos repas et passé toutes nos soirées. Le cadre est trÚs beau, ombragé et au calme. Les propriétaires sont trÚs chaleureux et trÚs accueillants. Une semaine inoubliable pour toute la famille, merci encore à eux de nous faire profiter d'un si joli cadre. Location trÚs originale du fait de sa cuisine d'été, qui fait office aussi de piÚce à vivre en plus de la maison située en face. Donc quelque soit le temps, on peut changer de lieu. Séjour trÚs agréable. Beaucoup d'espace, toute la famille a apprécié du plus jeune au plus ùgé. Les propriétaires sont trÚs chaleureux et généreux, ce dont nous les remercions encore.

Nous avons Ă©tĂ© trĂšs bien accueillis, l’endroit est vraiment chouette. Le gĂźte est trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©, la cuisine extĂ©rieur nous a permis d’ĂȘtre en extĂ©rieur tout le temps , les arbres nous ont permis de profiter malgrĂ© la canicule. La balançoire a fait le bonheur des 3 enfants. Les propriĂ©taires sont vraiment gentils, sans ĂȘtre envahissant ils sont lĂ  pour nous aider Ă  passer un bon sĂ©jour dans cette superbe rĂ©gion. SituĂ© Ă  proximitĂ© de lacs ou Ă©tangs trĂšs pratique quand on a des enfants en bas Ăąge :-). Merci encore, on reviendra! Nous avons passés deux semaines de vacances en famille à Campsegret. La description et les photos correspondent entiÚrement à la réalité. Maison trÚs propre et trÚs bien équipée. L'accueil des propriétaires est au top, nous avons rarement eu un si bon accueil ( petites attentions, lits fait à l'arrivée,..). Nous conseillons vivement cet endroit en famille ou entre amis, non loin de Bergerac, et de multitudes endroits à visiter. Maison au calme dans un environnement verdoyant et entretenu. La cuisine d'été est vraiment un plus. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Un grand merci aux propriétaires!
