The Glass room is peaceful, spacious and so beautifully furnished, I don't think we have ever slept
The Glass room is peaceful, spacious and so beautifully furnished, I don't think we have ever slept in such a comfortable bed, including our own! The location was perfect for us, visiting Flatford Mill, the Beth Chatto gardens and a little further afield, RHS Hyde Hall. It also gave us easy access to visit family in Ipswich. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here and had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay.
The property is beautiful, huge glass windows overlooking the most beautiful garden. Very quiet and relaxing. We loved sitting in the living room with the doors open looking out at the alpacas. They are so cute! The bed is huge, the shower is an amazing waterfall type shower, loads of space. Great location as we had booked to go to colchester zoo and also visited flatford mill and colchester town centre. We can’t wait to come back!

A very peaceful break away on the Essex / Suffolk borders.
A very peaceful break away on the Essex / Suffolk borders. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, attentive to any needs but also respectful of your privacy. All in all I would not hesitate to re-book another break at the Glass Room, it was simply wonderful.

My partner and I spent a lovely week at this property in early Sept. Views from inside the cottage of the garden and surrounding fields were fabulous - a breath of fresh air for city folk like us! The cottage was clean & tidy, well equipped, very comfortable and was spacious, light and airy. A highlight for us was watching the owner's alpacas grazing in the neighbouring field. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend!
