A very modern and well equipped little add-on cottage with the rare attribute of being officially only one bedroom. This style of accommodation is not easy to find, yet for the lone traveller, or a couple, is perfect. The owners were wonderful and helpful too.

A perfect place for a couple, lovely and quiet surroundings.
A perfect place for a couple, lovely and quiet surroundings. The cottage is immaculately clean and in very good decorative order, with good quality fittings and kitchen ware. There is good internet strength so you can research local things to do and restaurants etc.
The owner is very friendly and welcoming and is just next door should you need anything.
I would highly recommend this place ...if like me you are a bit picky and like a nice place to stay. The only problem we had was on the last day.... having to leave!

Had a fantastic week there.
Had a fantastic week there. The owners were very friendly and always at hand if required. The cottage was immaculate, and with beautiful views.
Only a minor request in hindsight - a docking station for music might be handy.
We would definitely go back and would certainly recommend Carnish Beag.

We couldn't have asked for more.
We couldn't have asked for more. Carinish Beag is a fully furnished, self contained annexe that is part of the owners (Alice) home. It was so lovely to arrive after a 9 hour drive to be met by Alice who had left us a loaf of bread, butter, milk and tea & coffee. Alice has thought of everything. The shower is just amazing especially after a long day of walking and getting soaked.
It sits overlooking The Narrows and Loch Eil, with views of the mountains. If you step out on to the shore of the Loch you can see The Nevis Range and Ben Nevis to your right. We were visited daily by a host of wild birds. You could sit on the verandah all day and just watch the birds, water and weather.
A truly wonderful relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle but close enough, Fort William is about 20 miles by car to all amenities.

A beautifully appointed cottage which is spotlessly clean.
A beautifully appointed cottage which is spotlessly clean. A very nice touch was the provision of a few basics (milk, bread, spread) on arrival. The hosts Alice and Dougie are extremely welcoming and helpful. The property has a wonderful view over the Loch and is the perfect location from which to explore the area. The peaceful location is off the beaten track so be prepared to have a drive to the nearest shops in Fort William. The drive is stunning and the M&S food hall and well-equipped Aldi offer a wide choice. An ideal place to relax and unwind.

A second visit which did not disappoint.
A second visit which did not disappoint. Great welcome and a superb peaceful retreat from the busy world. A very high standard cottage which provides a good base for exploring the local area by road, walking or by boat to the Southern Western Isles. Exploring the Caledonian Canal adds an extra dimension. Recommended for at least one visit, and probably more.

Carinish Beag is a fantastic property with a beautiful view and great surrounding scenery.
Carinish Beag is a fantastic property with a beautiful view and great surrounding scenery. The cottage was so comfortable and the welcome we received was lovely. The owners really care about the cottage and also ensure the guests have a brilliant holiday. Great walks along the loch and always a real pleasure to return to the cottage at the end of the day. We could not fault it. Marks and Spencer just before fort William was very welcomed and it was a great journey getting there from the cottage so even though no local amenities, it was no hardship at all. Lots to do and the wildlife in this area is great. We go to many self catering cottages and this one was one of the best.
