This traditional Welsh holiday cottage is set in tranquil grounds, ideally located for exploring the Welsh countryside.. 1 step to entrance.

All on the Ground Floor:

Open plan living space.

Living area: TV, Freesat, DVD Player, Electric Woodburner

Dining area.

Kitchen area: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Washing Machine

Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair on request. Welcome pack and doggy extras.. Small, enclosed garden with patio and furniture. 5½-acre landscaped grounds (shared with other property on-site). BBQ. Private parking. Please note: There is a river and pond in the grounds, 30 yards away.. Set in the tranquil grounds of Mwdlwscwm Farm (non-working), this pair of traditional Welsh cottages, Y Beudy (ref OH9) and Ystabl (ref OXN) provide a welcoming place to unwind after a day out in South Wales. The cottages are ideally situated for exploring the historic villages of Carmarthenshire, as well as providing an ideal base for visiting the stunning Pembrokeshire with its miles of coastline or hiking in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Discover over 2000 years of Welsh history (beware of the dragons!) from Roman gold mines to medieval castles and the relics of the Welsh industrial revolution. Vibrant and cosmopolitan Swansea is a 25-minute drive away, home to the famous Mumbles, gateway to the beautiful Gower Peninsula with its pristine beaches and one of Dylan Thomas’s preferred stamping grounds, as well as a great place to get fresh seafood. These sympathetically decorated character cottages are located adjacent to the owner’s home who will be on hand to ensure your comfort. There are a variety of amenities locally including general stores and a pub. Llanelli beach is 4 miles away, M4 motorway, 5 miles, Wales coastal path, 7 miles, and for further sightseeing opportunities, Cardiff and Tenby are 53 miles away. Please note although we are close to all amenities a car will be needed to access these.Shop 3 miles.

The cottage not only met all our needs.

The cottage not only met all our needs. It was central to all amenities. The hosts recommendations were spot on! They were perfect hosts. Gave you privacy. But you knew they were there if you needed them! We didn't need them as Everything was there. We have no hesitation in recommending them.

This cottage has everything you need and more.

This cottage has everything you need and more. The owners are close by so if you needed them they were on hand too help but give you full privacy. The lounge/dining area could do with some curtains or blinds to stop the feeling of gold fish in a bowl but watching the squirrels in the garden was lovely. There was some issues with the TV signal but the owner did everything she could to resolve it, we logged into our Netflix account and happy viewing. On the pictures online the cottage shows a reclining sofa but unfortunately it doesn't work however it was still one of the most comfortable holiday sofas I've sat on. Every evening me my husband and the dogs enjoyed Llanelli beach for a short walk and then to pick up tea from one of the many takeaways on our way back to the cottage.

Lovely comfortable cottage set in a beautiful part of Wales. Due to Covid restrictions we ended up using it as a base to explore the southern parts of Pembroke and it was an easy drive to some wonderful beaches where we could walk our dog. The cottage itself was well equipped and comfortable. No complaints at all. The bathroom had a lovely strong shower, the bedroom was small but lovely bed and the lounge/kitchen/dinning room met all our needs. We had a lovely week away in these troubled times. Made to feel so welcome! We visited for our Honeymoon and arrived to a bottle of bubbly as well as our welcome pack of essentials. Stormy and rained during our week but lovely and cosy in the cottage and great to wash and dry our wet clothes in the tumble dryer. Need to drive to shops, pub etc but good take aways that deliver and owner went above and beyond in jump starting our car that died on leaving! Thank you so much. The cottage is very comfortable and the owner is very friendly and helpful. It is a well stocked cottage and we enjoyed a very restful holiday. At the cottage there is a field that is great for walking dogs. They even provide a bin for any dog poop bags. The cottage is small, but perfectly formed. We found a new pub/restaurant which served lovely vegetarian food, The Smiths Arms Foelgastell. A lovely peaceful holiday. Can highly recommend the area and the cottage. I had the perfect stay with my pup. Snug cosy with electric fire was just what we needed after a long walk in the rain and wind! The cottage had everything we needed and was such a lovely break from city life.
