Keen walkers are well catered for, with the Dalesway and Pennine Way long distance footpaths both close by, and for those who prefer a more leisurely stroll, the area abounds with numerous walks offering wonderful scenery and varied wildlife. Wharfedale offers unique charm and a wealth of places to visit including Kilnsey, with its famous overhanging crag and trout farm, the lovely villages of Kettlewell and Burnsall, and of course the wonderfully evocative ruined Bolton Abbey.
