We invite you to enjoy the elegant accommodation at the Shangri-la of the South Coast of NSW, nestled at the foothill of the picturesque Cambewarra Mountain.

You will relax and share the sheer elegance and beauty of this 20-acre sanctuary. Take a stroll in the gracious manicured gardens to smell the roses at Garden Hill. Gaze and be amazed at the emerald green parkland setting from the gazebo.

Watch and hear the wild birds duck in and out of the lake. Play a game of tennis and enjoy a dip in the in-door swimming pool. Relish a spa bath in the Magnolia sandstone cottage.

This 20 acre estate accommodates the main residence flanked on the eastern side by the Magnolia Spa Cottage and the eastern side by the Connoisseurā€™s Cottage.Stay at our sister cottage.

Garden Hill is within minutes of the historic town of Berry, which boasts of a vibrant village culture of posh shops and swanky restaurants amidst a gracious rural setting and friendly community.

Beautiful property to stay for a few days and would definitely look to come back. The care and attention to detail by the host was simply outstanding - I have stayed in major hotels around the world who could learn a few things about customer service from Garden Hill. Couldn't recommend more highly

Something out of an English Countryside Fairytale

Simply an amazing property to stay at. The owners were quite friendly and provided us with the freshly made croissants and raspberry tarts on our first morning which was a great surprise. The property is quite clean and has all the amenities necessary. It is the perfect place to escape from your busy city life and experience nature in all its beauty. Would visit again.

Amazing getaway

Beautiful little cottage set amongst perfectly manicured English gardens at the foot of the towering Mountains. This is an amazing getaway. The host was delightful, and always present for any issues you may have. Recommended to anyone looking for a getaway to the NSW kangaroo Valley region.

Totally relaxing

Fantasic little cottage in a fantastic loction. Beautiful gardens, beautiful views, birds, wombat, bees and so much more. The cottage is cosy, well appointed and perfectly positioned to catch the winter sun. If for some reason you might want to leave the views, bird calls, flowers and secluded walks behind the property is close to the coast and mountains as well as a number of wineries so there is always plenty to do. Just a great place to cuddle up and recharge. Loved it.

Relaxing getaway

Amazing setting and great location for touring the local area along with Bowral, Berry and coastline to Jervis Bay. A conversation with the very friendly hosts revealed the recent loss of their permanent gardener. This, along with weather impacts, has led to the gardens and grounds being overgrown which was a disappointment to us. Hopefully this will be quickly rectified to justify its description of elegance, beauty and gracious manicured gardens.

Gorgeous view and gardens

Overall we really enjoyed our weekend stay. The Magnolia Cottage is very clean and the gardens are gorgeous and the tennis court is immaculate. However, there are a few things that could easily be improved. The owner provides beautiful bread and fresh eggs but instant coffee, longlife milk and jams/honey in jars obvioulsy used by previous guests. Whilst this is possibly more economical, plunger or capsule coffees and small jars of jam would add to the quality of the experience. The welcome bottle of wine and chocolate are a lovely touch. The spa bath is huge and clean. There are plenty of products to use ...but as they were not individual packages but family size bottles, it felt a bit like we were using someone else's bathroom. The bedroom is adequate and the view from the bed just lovely but beware - if you are there on a windy night the doors bang and rattle - although we have brought this to the owner's attention. Also if the (friendly) gardener is out and about it is not very private and certainly noisy. The pool looked lovely but it was too cold (outside) for us to use. Finally note that Garden Hill Spa is about 15 minutes from Berry. It is closer to Nowra.

A lovely get-away break

It was a pleasure to spend time in such lovely peaceful surroundings. The gardens are extensive and beautiful, and we were able to enjoy them in privacy at all times of day. The indoor pool and tennis court were well used, and the cottage was a great base for exploring the Illawarra. Our hosts Nick and Rosalind went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay and were wonderful hosts.

Brilliant!

Spent a lot of time in the area over the years but this place is really special. Just a stunning setting, beautiful gardens and facilities (tennis court, pool). Highly recommend!

Lovely stay, better than the photos!

Garden Hill is a lovely, pretty, peaceful and comfortable accomodation that offers more than meets the eye! The cottage is spacious and comfortably provides everything one could need for a relaxing break. We enjoyed an anniversary weekend, and settled in easily to the lovely surrounds and peaceful ambience. Lovely gardens for a stroll, full size tennis court, a well provided small kitchen, and a spa bath. The hosts Rosalind and Nick are charming and easy to deal with.

An amazing way to relax and re-energise!

Magnolia cottage may look small from the outside but it has everything you could possibly need! Having visited on a very cold and windy weekend, the pot belly fireplace was perfect for keeping warm and cosy! Loved the provision of bread and eggs for breakfast and the complimentary wine and chocolate was an amazing surprise. Spoke to Belinda when we arrived as we were unsure of the check in process and she was more than helpful. Though we met Rosalind only briefly, she was super friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect if you want to explore a few places (which we did) as it is in the middle of Berry, Kangaroo Valley and Nowra. Overall we had a much needed relaxing weekend, my only regret is that we couldnā€™t stay longer!

Incredible Oasis

Beautiful gateway at Garden Hill

Garden Hill is such an amazing place! I had such a memorable time here. My cottage was well furnished and very clean. Loved the nice sand stoned walls in the bedroom and the luxurious bath tub. There is even a tennis court and indoor swimming pool overlooking the gorgeous scenery and lush greenery. Homemade jams were also provided, the marmalade and strawberry jams were to die for! Nick and Rosalind were so hospitable, welcoming and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back again the next time we visit Cambewarra.

Relaxing getaway

My husband and I had a great long weekend at Garden Hill celebrating our babymoon. Very cosy little cottage definitely a great place to relax and get some alone time before Bub arrives. Great service very clean highly recommended. Can't wait for another weekend away there

Fantastic property

Magnolia Cottage is a fantastic cottage perfect for a Southern Highlands getaway. The location is perfect and the facilities in the cottage are excellent quality. Would highly recommend this property to anyone and we will definitely be back.

Bliss

We had a very relaxing, private, and comfortable stay at Rosalind's and Nick's house. From the minute we got there, we were able to wind down in a serene country setting, in a lovely sandstone cottage that is very well presented. What better to endure the torrential rain, than getting cosy with a nice bottle of wine and chocolates provided by Rosalind and Nick or to enjoy the spacious spa bath. We even managed to hit a game of tennis during a dry patch. We also loved the delicious breakfast in the garden and thanks to Rosalin we did not even need to travel anywhere with eggs, jams, coffee, tea and delicious bread. We are hoping to be back soon.

Beautiful little sandstone cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our Australia Day weekend away, peaceful and very relaxing. Lovely garden with stunning views, the gazebo was perfect for afternoon tea. Great hosts; Ros was very welcoming and provided some excellent advice on the local beaches and the surrounding area. We loved the veggie patch, thanks Nick for the chilies, radish and the super big marrow!

Connoisseur's Cottage

The Connoisseur "Sandstone" Cottage is a love affair between the Arts and English heritage. The dwelling features an indoor wood fire place, master bedroom, shower amenities, indoor plus outdoor dining, veranda with a garden patch that have various herbs such parsley, coriander, mint, and thyme. In addition to the above luxury amenities the stay included an outdoor wood fire "sandstone" oven. As my wife and I sat outdoors during breakfast we can we see the transition from the dwelling to the lake and were taken away by the hills in the backdrop. There afterwards, we played a sporting game of tennis then took a wonder around the garden and the lake. Later the evening we would relax by the indoor pool, which can be used throughout the year. In addition to the above, we learnt the site will feature a playground for Croquet, which is a gentleman's/woman's game. The Garden Spa is also within proximity via vehicle to Queen Street in Berry, which has diverse restaurants and cafes plus much needed body message services in the area. Berry has a local history of both English convicts and Aboriginal settlement so check out the local museum (Free entry). My wife and I travel quite a lot and we rarely give 5/5 but this place is an exception. Overall, we loved it and look forward to coming back!
