Memorial Day Stay

This was a great property and great location for my time in Houston. Lots of things to do close by, food in walking distance, and great views from the rooftop. Hunter was also a great host.

Awesome place

We had a great stay over the weekend. We came to go to a football game. The location was awesome. The condo was as listed. If I come to Houston again, this would be were we are staying.

Houston Vacation

House was great, plenty of room, had everything stocked and needed and then some! Shuffle board, big roof top deck with skyline view. Walking distance to a ton of restaurants. Great coffee shop/bakery downstairs as well. Quick Uber or Lyft ride to anywhere in the city. Our host was responsive and very accommodating. Would recommend this place, and definitely would book this place next time in Houston.

Stunning Indeed

This property was absolutely stunning. Great floor plan, lots of space, with all the amenities. As we travel to Houston at least a couple of times a year, it's likely we'll try to book this rental again.

Great foodie spot

Beautiful large house sleeps 8+ comfortably, plenty of bathrooms. Weekend noise from neighboring bars is a minus but on the other hand a plus having many restaurants and bars nearby for convenience, you won’t go hungry . The top deck is the best feature with fire pit and bbq. Really enjoyed our stay!

Great place to stay

We loved our stay here! It's very roomy, 5 bathrooms and bedrooms, lots of other space including a game room and balcony with a view. The host was very accommodating and responded well. The beds were all sleep number beds, too, very comfy. The only issue we had was that the street is kind of noisy with music until about midnight, even on the weekdays. It didn't get in our way too much but if you need quiet and go to bed early, you may want to rethink.

A super fun party house

Celebrating New Year's in Houston couldn't have been better in this easy-to-be-in place. We didn't have to go anywhere to see fireworks at midnight and music until 1:30! It might have been good to understand that the same Mexican bar that celebrated New Years with a live band also plays until 1:30 on Friday night (maybe Saturday but we were gone by then)! Being over a lovely bakery and coffee shop was delightful.There were a few things that needed some attention but nothing we couldn't figure out on our own. Within walking distance to so many great restaurants! Loved that each queen bed is a Sleep Number bed so couples could adjust to their liking. Overall a delightful place for a family of adults to spend some time together.

Wedding Weekend

What a fun, eclectic property! The bakery beneath the property is delicious! On the first floor of the property, the kitchen is updated with everything you need, and the living area is comfortable and spacious. The bedrooms and closets are big, and the bathrooms are beautiful. Upstairs there is a game room with a shuffle board table. The view of the full moon over downtown Houston on the roof top deck is magnificent. Lastly, communication with Hunter is second to none! He was so kind and accommodated our needs. I highly recommend this property!

Comfortable stay in a great neighborhood

Property is great. We were able to walk to a some great food for dinner. Neighborhood felt pretty safe and quiet. Do note that there are some steep stairs into property and to get to the 3rd bedroom and patio is another flight of stairs. Had my dad who was able to do it but I could see t took a bit out of him. Again, the property is in a neighborhood with a few restaurants and for the most part they're quiet. Though being restaurants, they could have a live band or whatnot on a Fri / Sat night. THis happened to us and they did quiet down but did want to note that for folks. Didn't really bother us since they quieted down around 11ish or so. Would definitely stay here again. Love the neighborhood and the location.

Unique property in an exciting location

The photos only give an impression of this unique property. Staying there was a delight. The space, the views of the city, the amazing terrace looking at the skyline as well as to the south and west, the furnishings and the many interesting and eclectic paintings which enlivened this generous space all created the perfect setting for our stay and place to invite friends over. The check-in process was smooth and Hunter communicated helpfully and responsively before and during our stay giving excellent suggestions of where to eat in the neighbourhood including the fun Mexican bakery downstairs for breakfast. From a practical perspective the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, stylish and comfortable, all the appliances worked well, and the apartment provided everything we needed with ample space to hang clothes and store what we needed to. It was also a big plus to have a dedicated parking space. We loved the neighbourhood which was lively, interesting and and close to everything and we will definitely book the next time we come to Houston. Thank you Hunter!

A funky & fun family stay!

Our family with a 1 & 3 yo stayed here over the Christmas holiday. The townhome location was perfect with a delicious & darling bakery below for coffees & breakfast, very good & unique restaurants steps away, and a lively bar next door if you’re there for that. We brought our white noise machines for the babies’ rooms as we knew the noise on this busy street corner would be louder than other locations and the babies need daytime naps too. The home is actually quieter inside than we expected with different levels with quieter rooms and the outside noise wasn’t a problem. The driveway parking & garage availability is at premium for this location!! You will love that and your car will be safe at night! The home decor, art, furniture, and amenities are eclectic, pretty, funky and comfortable. The rooftop deck & game room with a shuffleboard table placed in front of a huge picture window framing the Houston skyline were all stellar! There are small details like a few missing light bulbs, some broken window blind cords, broken kitchen sink hose, older wood floors and deep cleaning that could be done but it didn’t effect our stay. We’ve stayed in immaculate vrbos, but the price was double too. Hunter is a wonderful vrbo owner, communication is prompt and he gave us the link to Rock-a-bye baby rentals for all the baby things we needed (crib, erc). We had a lot of fun in this vrbo for our Christmas vacation—even with babies-in-tow, we would certainly stay here again!!

Overall was a comfortable area and close to the wedding we were in town attending. The good: it was roomy, had parking, and was easy to access through the smart lock. All beds had smart beds with firmness control and pretty comfy. The house was decently furnished and the smart thermostats were nice and the house was cool. There were large gathering areas downstairs and upstairs. The bad: the worst issue was the noise from Bohemia. It was loud and for lengthy times into early evening. The furniture is dated. There were some roaches in the kitchen. And when the restaurant downstairs opened, you could smell the cooking in the downstairs bedroom. Some of the remotes include the smart bed control and th tv controls didn’t have working batteries. One of the bathroom lights didn’t work. The host contacted me in advance and again it was easy to find and enter. The area is ok. I wouldn’t call it a family friendly area.

Great house! Some noise at night

This was a very cool, spacious house that can accomodate a big group. It was clean and the host was helpful. The game room upstairs was a highlight. When I booked, it wasnt clear to me that this home is the upstairs unit of a restaurant. It is also right next to a bar, which I did know. The bar was very loud on Friday night and we had a hard time falling asleep. It was not as bad on Saturday. We could hear the restaurant being set up early in the mornings too. I would still recommend, but bring ear plugs.
