Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique. Tout simplement adoré assis devant le feu et le regard perdu dans l'océan après de grandes promenades sur la plage. Great Ocean Haven nous a vraiment rétabli et nous serons bientôt de retour. Michael et Carey.

Laurel was a great host and easy to communicate with. The perfect house for a cold easter watching the storms roll through.

Relaxing, cosy mid-winter beach break

Loved our stay at Laurel and Sue’s house. So many thoughtful touches, from champagne and chocolates to Aesop toiletries. Super comfy bed with gorgeous linen. Really comfortable house. Large secure backyard that our doggo had fun exploring. Loads of firewood to stay toasty warm. Wonderful view. Great kitchen with everything we needed to cook up a feast. We enjoyed a lovely mid-winter break celebrating my partner's significant milestone birthday. Feeling restored as we head back to town and work.

Simply the best

I have stayed in many places over the years, but Ocean Haven stood out because the lovely hosts made us feel so welcome. The house and view were lovely, the decor interesting and tasteful, the showers amazing, beds comfy and the heating worked well. What made our stay extra special though, was the many welcoming touches the hosts had added. We also enjoyed that we were able to walk directly to the beach and to the nearby nature reserve. If I could give six stars, I would. Thank you so much, Laurel and Sue

Quality and cost holiday house

We thoroughly enjoyed our 7-day stay stay at this beautiful property. House is well equipped, has an excellent location and very communication with owners were prompt and smooth. We (including our 2 year old Cavoodle) would highly recommended anyone looking for a quality stay down the coast.

Perfect weekend

Our family of 6 adults and two dogs had a wonderful weekend. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed the comfy beds, relaxing on the deck with visits from a couple of very friendly king parrots, lazing by the fire, checking out the view through the telescope. We also appreciated the added touches like the well equipped kitchen, tasteful decor and Aesop soaps in the bathrooms. Our host Laurel could not have been more friendly, helpful and attentive. All in all we loved it!

as lovely as it looks

this property is lovely and cosy. it is sparkly clean. there are lots of little touches that make it feel like a home not a rental. tiny organic soaps. organic handsoap on all sinks. organic shampoo and conditioner. and then there is the champagne and chocs left in the fridge. we stayed over the stormy weekend during easter. the windows and balcony are magic to watch the storms rolling in. a stones throw from the beach for awesome walks with your dog when the weather cleared. fully fenced back yard. dogs allowed inside. polished floors throughout the property so if you dont have a pet you wouldnt ever feel that there had been pets staying there. this is a lovely place to relax summer or winter regardless of the weather. the hosts are lovely and very communicative. we had a fabulous stay and would book again in a heartbeat.

Perfect escape

The property was as good if not better than the photos of the listing. It was well appointed . Views were fantastic. A lovely surprise was the large dog ( and child) safe garden . Would definitely recommend

Great house in a great location

We spent 6 weeks over Summer and we really enjoyed our time. Kids love the ability to walk to the beach and the lower shops. Very quiet. Only negative is the transformer box that sits on the street and blocks some of the view and a fuse problem with the fireplace. Otherwise really enjoyed our stay and definitely coming back.

Lovely Location & Views

Comfortable house, good backyard for furry friends enjoyed having 3 bathrooms with teenagers. Watch out for the ants they a quick notice any morsel.

Fantastic Long Weekend Away

My partner and I recently stayed at this property with a number of friends over a Melbourne long weekend. We were delighted when we saw how beautiful the house was, along with the special touches of fresh flowers, champagne and chocolates. It was more than well equipped - it had everything...from a food processor for healthy smoothies to a table tennis table! Due to the weather we were able to experience not only the beautiful wood fire on the Friday night, but also the stunning Fairhaven beach just a short drive (or walk if you are feeling like it) on the Sunday. The layout of the house would suit a family or group of friends - the split level design and two lounge rooms means you can quietly read a book or play a board game around the kitchen table. Highly recommended.
