Excellent Vacation Venue. So relaxing and idyllic.
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Lobo! Chris is so friendly and hospitable. Everything we required was provided and the place has such a pleasant ambience. We used it as our base for the many day trips we made, and also spent a couple of days just basking in the garden. Would recommend it to anyone.

Clean house in a nice location
Used the home for our base as we went to Toronto and Niagra Falls, Chris was easy to deal with there are some Ontario things that we didn't quite understand but it was nice to stay in a home where towels, bedding, and soap were provided

It was wonderful having Kyle and his family as guests at Villa Lobo. I believe they had a great week long stay. The Ontario thing that is referred to is the temporary ban by the Halton Fire Dept on outdoor camp fires due to the hot weather, but the ban was soon lifted, so they could use the fire pit provided. Wouldn't hesitate to have them back as guests.

Welcoming host! Super location!
Chris and Amy were so very welcoming and kind. We loved the country setting of the house and were comfortable inside and out. Great location near to hiking trails, pubs, family activities, and quick drive into Toronto and easy to get to Niagara/ wine country for a day trip. Great location close to everything but far from the hustle and bustle of the city. We had a great time. The kids loved the big field to play soccer and we grilled out nightly. Yes there is a train track on the edge of the property and yes you can hear the train go by. It didn’t spoil our stay and we’d definitely return to villa lobo! Thank you Chris and Amy for your hospitality and kindness.

It was such a delight having Jennifer and her wonderful family stay at Villa Lobo! What a pleasure to host such nice and warm people - this is one of the distinct benefits of having vacationers stay, that you get to meet such interesting and worldly guests!
The day we went up to see if they had settled in OK, they were so affable and invited us to sit with them. Even though our practice is to not to intrude on guests, we accepted their gracious offer. Well, we talked for ages exchanging memories of our travel and musical reminiscenses from our time in England. We left with such a good feeling and were so happy that they had enjoyed their stay!
If you ever have the chance to host them, jump at it, they were a pleasure to deal with! We ourselves would love to host them again and truly hope our paths cross again.
Jennifer - Thank you for all the kind words. Please give our very best to the family, especially Mum and Dad!

Was false ...NOT tranquil at all train whistle day and night
When we arrived I noticed the industrial ear plugs by the bed . That night the the first of 4 trains blasted there warning whistles 50 meters from Villa Lobo. The room literally shook and no sleep was had We left early because it was so poor
This was not disclosed anywhere on the description and I would never have rented knowing how uncomfortable we would be
I feel cheated

We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We've had so many compliments
regarding our property -- especially at this time of year -- and often
the low drone of a passing train on a vintage rail line either isn't
noticed by our clients or they consider it part of the country
experience that they're searching for. Children especially get a kick
out of the trains as many have not been exposed to this mode of travel
where they live.
When you requested a Corkscrew in our conversation the next day, I wish you had raised the matter, as we could have tried to remedy the situation.
All of our windows have been upgraded to keep outside sounds low.
Other guests have raved about the relaxing atmosphere of our home and we
have many return clients.
We'll check with the train company to see if anything has changed in
their practices in the past few weeks which might explain your
experience. However, so far this summer we've had nothing but glowing
reviews from our 'happy campers.'
Kind Regards.

A beautiful property and well designed with spacious rooms
In general it’s a cool and beautiful place to stay in summer for those who like to relax. I enjoyed this place with my family. I stayed for 7 nights but I wish I could stay longer if only I had enough time. Above all it’s nice and clean environment along with two soccer fields which we spent our time playing soccer with my kids.

Wonderful
We stayed at Villa Lobo June 2018 (4 adults). This was our first time in Canada. Chris called us the day we were to arrive so he could meet us in person, welcome us, show us around, and answer any questions we had, but unfortunately, we were behind schedule and arrived later than expected. When we did meet him the next day he asked how everything was going and if we need anything. We told him about the coffee pot not working properly and he immediately phoned his wife and off he was. He returned a short time later with a brand new coffee machine. You couldn’t get that kind of fast service in a hotel! It has been mentioned that a train blasts through blowing its whistle and shaking the house. This is so overblown. Yes, it is near train tracks (as stated in description) and trains pass by but not tranquil is completely false. None of us woke up because a train was passing by; in fact, none of us heard it during the night. We ending up staying there during part of the Word Cup of Soccer and watched some games – the train didn’t bother us at all.
The house is well stocked from kitchen cookware, spices, and pans to bathroom soaps, towels, shampoo. Bedroom has soft linens and plenty of pillows. The yard has plenty of seats, a working grill (with propane), and a picnic table.
There is so much more we could say about Villa Lobo. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. It is a wonderful oasis. We visited a farm that was close by that has wine tasting and pick your own strawberries. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away from city noise this is the place! Although we didn’t get a change to meet Amy, Chris was very accommodating and welcoming. We are hoping to return to Canada next year and hope to bring more family members to Villa Lobo. Defiantly a place to visit again!!!

Cottage in Halton Hills
Villa Lobo is a wonderful, peaceful oasis within a reasonable driving time of Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto. Surrounded by farms and cornfields our stay was a wonderful opportunity to experience rural cottage Canada on the doorstep of Toronto. It is within 30 minutes of Square One (Mississauga), 20 mins to Shoppers World (Brampton) and 1 hour to Downtown TO. Local shops are in nearby Georgetown which has a wonderful Farmers Market on Saturdays and everything you need to stock up the fridge. There are also places to go strawberry picking only 5 mins away. There is plenty of room both within the property and the surrounding grounds to have a family & friends gathering and enjoy nature and the summer sun. Villa Lobo is well equipped with utensils, linen. towels, blankets and laundry facilities which allowed us to make it into a home very quickly. Chris Lobo is a helpful, dedicated and pleasant host who assisted us at every opportunity to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend Villa Lobo for a relaxing stay.

It was such a pleasure hosting Suneet, his sister and their lovely parents from Sutton, England. We are really glad that they enjoyed their stay at Villa Lobo. Every occasion we met was so cordial and friendly. They kept the cottage super clean throughout their month long stay and were such charming guests.
As I had lived in England during the seventies, and Suneet and his family had originally lived in Canada, we were able to share so much about past experiences we'd had in each others' countries.
I would highly recommend them as guests to the HomeAway community and would gladly have them back at Villa Lobo.
We shall always have fond memories of their visit to Villa Lobo and I sincerely hope our paths cross again.

Country and City in One
Wow! we were so excited and thrilled to find out Villa Lobo was such a great find and such a lovely property! The house is located in the country with farming crops around, large lawned area and adjoining forrest. You feel like you are on a retreat.Incredibally though, just 7 mins away, either way-are amazing shops, restuarants and attractions-so close to everything!
We are a family of 5, with 3 small children from Australia. Our 2 mothers also came to stay with us at Villa Lobo, and there was plenty of room to accomodate us all. The house was so amazingly well equipt with everything that we could possibly need and very bright, fresh and clean.
Chris and Amy Lobo, the home owners are a terrific, friendly, hospitable couple. They were attentive to any needs, maintained the property whilst we were there a month and were easy to chat too, but yet gave privacy. They went above and beyond the call of duty when family illness made us return home suddenly too.
Since returning home to Australia we still talk about and miss our Villa Lobo house, sitting on the front porch looking out at the lovely green acreage, sipping a nice drink, watching squirrels- so relaxing:)
We would definately recommend this property to anyone and we would love to return to it on our next stay in Canada. A super spot! Thanks Chris and Amy!

Thanks so much for your kind words regarding Villa Lobo! We truly enjoyed meeting all of you–what a beautiful family you have!
We knew when we first purchased this cottage that it would appeal to a wide group of people because of its peaceful and lovely location and the comfort aspects we have installed within its walls. So far, families that have stayed here have been very appreciative of this 'home away from home' -- and our own family members take advantage of it as well when they need to re-charge and relax.
We are constantly looking at ways to improve our cottage to ensure that our friends and soon-to-be-friends continue to enjoy their stay with us.
Cheers,
Amy and Chris
This villa is perfect for large groups, we were two French couples with very young children who really enjoyed our stay at Villa Lobo . It's spacious, very clean and very convenient. The owners were really friendly and helpful all throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the space and the serenity of the place. We will definitely go back there if we go back to Ontario. Thanks again for making our holiday so nice and confortable!!
