Autumn Festival Weekend...

Our group of four couples thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bright Barn, the enormous open plan kitchen living zone was a highlight providing a hub for all to enjoy! Highly recommend this house for group bookings.

Our annual Bright trip

We love love love this property. It has something for all members of our family.Well equipped for kids and adults alike.The hosts are super helpful and easy to deal with.We have been coming to Bright for 17 years and this is our favourite property we have stayed in.

Just so lovely

This is our 2nd stay and intend to continue on an annual basis. The property is an easy 10 minute stroll into town. Well appointed, lots of comfy beds and the view is completely unforgettable. The kids loved collecting the eggs from the chicken enclosure and running free on this beautiful property.

The Bright Barn retreat suited our purposes perfectly. And the weather was terrific. The house had heaps of kitchen utensils, lots of room, lots of 'noisy' nature and beautiful large dinning table. Beds were comfy, 2 dishwashers & billiard table to remind us of our youth. It was equipped with a video system, which we didn't use as we spent our time outdoors wherever possible. Beautiful property

Lovely comfortable house with everything you need in it really appreciated the two dishwashers, plenty of wood for the cosy fire, very good hosts who will bend over backwards to please. The outlook is so beautiful. Also love the slightly rustic and slightly recycled feel of the build. Thanks Adrian and Victoria

Would recommend for a large group

This property was as described. Heaps of room for everyone. Comfortable. Really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and accommodation of all guests including enough bathrooms across the three buildings. Fantastic views. Very close to the Bright centre but was quiet away from the hustle and bustle. Made good use of the pool table!

Great stay in Bright

Great property for 11 family members. Great kitchen, dining and lounging spaces. The separate accommodation options were also great. Only gripes were no microwave (I knew this from being the booker, but others didn't, so maybe let your party know), inability to use ceiling fans due to being dusty and some interior spider webs. Other than those minor things it's a fantastic property for a bigger group. Check in super easy, comfy beds, great communication with host, great views and an overall great area to explore. Loved the opportunity to stay here!

Lovely unique property

Loved the house it lived up to all expectations . The outlook has a true wow factor. Beds are comfy, the heating and fireplace keeps everything very cosy. Enjoyed honing up my billiard playing skills. Just for future tenants byo tea towels, face washers .kitchen sponges, tissues. Still giving the property 5 stars though looking forward to coming back

Beautiful property just two minutes away from the town. Everything was well thought through. I was there with family and friends, the kids had plenty of space to play. We really enjoyed our stay at The Barn, and will surely visit again

A lovely house in a beautiful environment

This is a very special house. We visited for my wife's 60th Birthday with her large family. It was the perfect place for a get together. we loved our weekend!! It was well equipped with plenty of everything we needed. A short drive to bright and just magnificent views with kangaroos to keep you entertained. Waking up to kookaburras singing is very special!! Overall the house is lovely, maybe a little tired in parts and the BBQ is on the average side, but perfect for a big family get together. The front door is very special and a piece of art. It has lots of different areas if you want some time out to read a book while others are celebrating. Kitchen has more than everything you need and good quality. The outdoor fire pit area is great we all loved sitting around it. If the weather is hot the house can get a bit uncomfortable but it cools down at night nicely. It does have aircons but have are poorly situated to cool the house. We would definitely return to this property again as everyone really enjoyed it.

My family and I had an amazing week in Bright celebrating my 60th Birthday The property was beautiful and spacious enough for us all and was only a short walk into town. All the basic necessities are provided and the hosts are extremely helpful. Would highly recommend for a family getaway or for groups of friends to share.

Wonderful weekend

The Bright Barn is an absolutely stunning home with breathtaking views and plenty of space for the children to run and play outside. We loved the outdoor fire overlooking the mountains and enjoyed eating outside. The children loved the outdoor play equipment and collecting eggs from the chicken coop in the morning. The house is spacious, well appointed and perfect for multiple families. Victoria and Adrian went above and beyond to help with any request and welcomed us with a beautiful bottle of champagne. They are very considerate hosts and ensured we had a wonderful weekend. Highly recommend!

Accommodation was incredible however with the weather being 38 degrees it made it a struggle for the split systems that are on site. Location is perfect and great for the Kid to have a bit of fun and a run around. this would be a perfect winter destination.

Apologies Margaret. I wish I had known during your stay so I could have fixed that for you. I have contacted our maintenance man to find out why. Your stay was after Labour Day weekend and perhaps the public holiday altered the collection days. I have spoken to our maintenance man, and he said that your group did not use the rubbish bins in the rubbish bin enclosure by the side of the house but rather tried to fill a smaller bin outside the enclosure. We explain the location of the rubbish enclosure in our manual. I will put a note in the welcome letter for future guests. Thank you for leaving our place well and pleased to hear you enjoyed the property's beauty.

A weekend getaway in Bright

We had a very special birthday celebration on 29 Feb and the property was perfect for us to celebrate in style. The Barn is spacious and light filled and extremely well equipped. Bright is a lovely town to visit.

Great for a large family

We spent Christmas at this lovely property with a large group of family. There is plenty of space and the separate quarters were great for members of the family with small children. The outdoor entertaining area and large, well equipped kitchen was great for our big dinners. The property was in a great location, close to bike paths and the main street. The only downer was the lack of air conditioning in the main house, during what was a very hot week. Despite following the owner's instructions to keep the house cool, it was still quite hot during the day and warm at night. Seemed to be well equipped for winter. Better air conditioning and a few finishing touches would improve my overall score but it was still a great place to stay. The owner was very responsive to messages and easy to communicate with.

It is always a challenge to accommodate a mixed group of 12 or more guests over a holiday period in bedding configuration, entertaining area set up, size of kitchen, bathrooms etc. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the location and the big kitchen. My cleaner goes through and resets the kitchen meticulously after each stay so we can offer plenty of dishware, big platters, lots of glassware so the table can be set properly. I feel the quality of meals is so important at family events and my family always has the best conversations at this huge dinning table that my husband made..it is one piece of timber locally sourced. We can unfortunately only air-condition the upstairs areas on this property as it is on 17 acres and we are currently at maximum power usage. One day we will subdivide the property and this will allow us more power to run a bigger air conditioning system, however, it will then mean that guests will not be able to enjoy a stunning 17 acres with kangaroos in the middle of town all to themselves, and they will be listening to closer neighbours instead of the nearby wildlife .
