La Bonne Vie Scenic Rim

Discover absolute sereniity, peace and quiet, just over 1 hour's drive from Brisbane. Take in the ever changing mountain views and cool breezes from the wrap around verandah or relax around the fireplace at night.

La Bonne Vie is an elegant replica Queenslander situated on a private 10 acres of bush property, located at the base of Mount Castle in the Scenic Rim.

The house is fully self contained with quality furnishings and is delightful for 2 people, 2 couples or a large family, sleeping up to 6 people.It has ducted, climate-control air conditioning for year-round comfort,

The two main bedrooms are situated at the opposite ends of the house, both with their own ensuite. The children's bedroom contains a double bunk, and it too has its own bathroom/ toilet.

Enjoy the views, take a walk, bird watch, or just watch the kids play. Your stay can be as energetic or as relaxed as you like.

Sit around the fire-pit and roast yourself some marshmallows over a roaring bonfire in the evenings, or simply enjoy watching the Australian wildlife come and drink at the dam as the sun sets.

Take a short 15 minute drive to beautiful Lake Moogerah for boating, fishing, sailing, skiing or a picnic on the grassy banks. Nearby Aratula (10 minutes) is alive on the weekends, with a coffee shop, country bakery, restaurant, antiques, fresh produce, gift ware and souvenirs available. Slightly further on are Kalbar, Boonah or Mount Alford with a variety of country pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and local galleries.

Visit the Kooroomba Lavender Farm and Winery, Barton Rose Farm or, if bush walking is your passion, explore the paths of the Scenic Rim - the Main Range National Park, Mount French National Park, Mt Grenville National Park and Moogerah National Park

Half an hour to Ivory Rock Conference centre ( venue for Prem Rawat's peace event) and Willowbank raceway ( venue for 2017 CMC festival ) on main roads .

Stay for a weekend or a week! You will surely feel relaxed and recharged!

Stayed here for five nights with a friend while visiting Queensland for CMC Rocks 2026. The property itself is lovely, with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Mark provided a great guide to the house and property and was very punctual in communication.However, the house could really benefit from a thorough deep clean, both inside and out. There were quite a few random items left behind by previous guests in cupboards and drawers, which made the space feel cluttered. Much of the kitchenware appeared unclean, and the cupboards and pantry had some mess, including leftover and expired food.Additionally, the windows and doors were dirty, and there were several wasp nests beginning to form around them. While there was a generous selection of games and DVDs provided, they were disorganised, with discs scattered, scratched, and some pieces missing.Overall, a beautiful and tranquil location, but the cleanliness and upkeep need improvement to match the quality of the setting, beyond the current surface level cleanliness.

Beautiful and peaceful.... and the views! Mark was a breeze to deal with and provided excellent and detailed info and instructions for the property. The fire pit set up was fantastic and we spent quite a few nights by the fire. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to stay again

We loved our stay. Boys were gravel biking, girls hiked. We cooked in each night and sat around the gorgeous fire. The view from the verandah is breathtaking. Photos do not do the house justice. We definitely will be back.

Wonderful Aussie Getaway

We had an incredible experience here! It's undoubtedly one of the most stunning properties I've visited in Australia. The house blends seamlessly with its surroundings, and we particularly enjoyed the Bon fire area and the Pizza oven, where we made delicious pizzas. The comfort of the main bedroom bed was exceptional, and the house had plenty of lovely seating areas that allowed us to savor the breathtaking views. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this place!

Wonderful property with spectacular views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful house with spectacular views. As earlier reviews had mentioned the house was equipped with everything we could want to make us feel as if we were staying in our own home rather than a holiday rental. The outdoor fire pit was exactly what we were looking for in our country getaway and was very user friendly. We look forward to our next visit.
