The Gatekeepers Cottage

Le Cottage est une installation magnifiquement amĂ©nagĂ©e avec cheminĂ©e, foxtel, lecteur CD avec une grande collection de CD. Parfait pour un couple souhaitant passer un week-end ou plus simplement Ă  profiter du paysage champĂȘtre dans la Scenic Rim ou Ă  participer plus activement aux sports nautiques, Ă  l'Ă©quitation, Ă  la marche dans la brousse, Ă  l'escalade, au golf et bien plus encore.
Situé dans une entreprise de bovins de boucherie en activité de Dugandan Droughtmasters. Des chevaux et du bétail paissent en tout temps dans les enclos adjacents.
Le pub Dugandan est à seulement 3 km pour des repas décontractés et un bus de courtoisie qui, gratuitement, viendra vous chercher et vous ramÚnera si vous décidez de prendre quelques verres. Des repas de qualité sont disponibles en ville et à Austin House et à la cave voisine de Karoomba
Une arÚne de chevaux, une cour ronde et des enclos à chevaux sont disponibles pour les clients souhaitant amener des chevaux dans le pays pour changer de décor.
Également disponible est un canapĂ©-lit et des civiĂšres ou un swag pour un supplĂ©ment de 50 $ par couple qui couvre le blanchiment des draps et serviettes supplĂ©mentaires.

The host was very welcoming and obliging and the property is in good condition and clean although it has become dated. Admittedly, the decor is in keeping with a farm stay. The property is very peaceful and the scenic countryside was very green after some good rain. There is a beautiful view of the scenic rim mountains which were quite spectacular when there was bright sunshine piercing through dark skies. Unfortunately there is a little or no mobile phone reception and no Internet but for some guest this would be an attraction. It is unfortunate how reliant we have become on an Internet connection for entertainment, especially when it comes to streaming movies and shows.

Super cute cabin, we enjoyed our farm stay at the gatekeeper’s cabin. Such a pretty setting, we loved watching the cows, feeding the horses and birds, and having a fire on chilly winter nights.

The cabin was adequate for a weekend stay with our very young granddaughter. We enjoyed the fireplace, and feeding the birds was a treat. There were a couple of newborn calves there too.Unfortunately we were unable to access the TV for local nor cable, the stereo/CD player also not working, even after a call to the owner.Zero toilet paper was supplied which we had to go back into town to purchase.These small issues spoilt an otherwise lovely stay.

Stay at Gatekeepers Cottage

We had a short stay that we thoroughly enjoyed. Nice to see the cattle and horses moving about. Plenty of lovely birds came in to visit. Very close to Boonah and local pub where the food was really nice and beer cold. Very peaceful setting, would highly recommend.

Relaxing and Easy

The accommodation was very central to the multiple destinations we needed to attend for a wedding and surrounding events. Clean, tidy, spacious and easy to access. The Owner Glen, was very prompt with responding to questions.Thanks for a great stay :)

Delightful in Boonah

This is a delightful cottage just outside Boonah, in a beautiful farm setting with views of the surrounding hills and farms. The cottage is comfortable with everything you need for a weekend getaway or a longer stay.It is only a few minutes outside of Boonah and there are plenty of National Parks and sights to visit during your stay as well.

50th Wedding Anniversary Getaway

Enjoyed our stay at Gatekeepers. Very quiet, clean and perfect accomodation for our getaway enjoying the beautiful views across the valley. Loved sitting on the verandah whilst the bird life visited morning & evening and the horses reached out for a loving pat. I could watch the cattle grazing everyday (but then wait) adventure awaited in the faraway mountains with endless mountain streams running beneath the forest canopies a bushwalkers paradise. Thankyou Craig for allowing us to enjoy your piece of paradise.
