What to do in Binalong Bay & Surrounds
A short walk down the hill to our local restaurant, Merestä Eatery
Buy a platter or order a pop up picnic from our local Salty Picnic Co
Then wander another 50 meters and you can be lazing or walking along the Beach.
Walk the coastline of our World Famous Bay of Fires. Or go south, along Skeleton Bay - and keep an eye out for the whales in season.
Walk around Grants Lagoon - this time look out for the birds and the wildflowers which include lots of wonderful native orchids.
Book the local tennis court ($5) for a hit of tennis down on the waterfront, whilst the children play in the playground - have a BBQ down on the green.
Take a boat tour up the beautiful Bay of Fires Coastline with Bay of Fires Eco Tours - which leave Binalong Bay Gulch - less than 5 minutes drive away from the house. Or a 15 minute walk.
Jump in the car and take a short 10 minutes drive into St Helens where I suggest you visit the galleries, the collectibles store, and take a stroll down to the waterfront. If you like golf there is a pleasant little golf course. Take the kids to the local Serpentarium. Go the local picture theatre and visit the distillery at Easy Tiger.
A little further afield takes you to the St Columbia Falls, the Pyangana Cheese Factory, the Pub in the Paddock, the Shop in the Bush, and even the famous Blue Tiers. Or drive south along the Coast and visit Bichino, where you can see the blowhole and visit Natureworld to meet the cute Tasmanian Devils and lots more wildlife. Visit Wineglass Bay at Freycinet. Visit the wineries and a boutique beer brewery - whatever takes your fancy.

Excellent weekend away. Everything we needed was supplied. Jan communicated in a timely manner and nothing was a problem. Dog friendly was even better. Will definitely be staying again.
Great property, very well equipped, lots of space to relax both inside and out. Lovely bedrooms and modern bathrooms.Wonderful views out towards the most stunning bay, the area is so beautiful and the gorgeous pizzeria/icecream/coffee bar overlooking the sea was an added bonusI would highly recommend
Lovely house with plenty of room to spread out. Good quality amenities and very private and quiet. Great fenced yard for the dog to explore asa bonus. Would highly recommend and will definitely return for another visit
Only improvement we'd like to see is a handbasin in the toilet. Advert did say Spa in small print which we thought would be an outdoor spa not a spa in the bath.

Thank you for your suggestions. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. It is the way VRBO handles the spa choice - we do not get to explain except in the description. It is an indoor spa bath. Unfortunately, no outdoor spa.
So lucky to have such a lovely place to stay that dogs are welcome. We will be back

Awesome!!!
This was the most comfortable, cosy, clean, friendly place to stay. We love it and are looking forward to coming back soon. Great for the dogs they had a ball and the yard was fenced off for them to stay safely, and the pizza oven was a real hit.

Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay so much. It is a lovely big property, with a huge yard for children and/or pets. See you again soon
We had 6 relaxing nights in this lovely property. The house is really spacious and well provisioned. The real highlight for us and our dogs was the large, beautiful backyard. It was very inviting and we spent a lot of time enjoying the peace and quiet. The only improvement we would suggest is the addition of a Smart TV, to make the most of the free WiFi.
An exceptional property for a multi family beach vacation. Has everything you need and more. Do take some ear buds for night sleeping as the local frogs provide quite the night performance which takes some getting used to.
We fell in love with the house as soon as we walked in the front door. It is spacious, elegant, well-equipped and perfectly positioned for exploring the area. There is masses of parking, either under the carport or on the gravel area at the front of the house.
6 adults stayed here for 2 nights and we could not have asked for more. Immaculate property with your choice of decks with lovely views, easy to use pizza oven, outdoor seating in excellent condition and 2 living areas indoors.
The kitchen is fully decked out and both TV'S (yep, there's 2) have lots of streaming services. Heaps of parking and also dog friendly. The yard is AMAZING. Stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful home away from home
Fantastic place to stay for the weekend. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, warm. House was absolutely spotless. Not panoramic views of bay of fires but definitely enough water views! Quite a way from the beach but only a 1 min drive. Plenty of wood supplied for the wood heater and pizza oven (which was fantastic). Perfect for families - 3x double bedrooms and 1x single bed (that I think has a trundle), also has a portacot (which we didn't use but good to know the option is there). We would definitely come here again on next visit to bay of fires.

Thanks for your lovely recommendation. The walk/drive to the beach is 850 meters according to Google Maps, so really is not that far - but I guess it depends on how much you like walking - and like Samantha said - only a minutes drive! Would love to have you come back again soon. Cheers

Wow!
This was one of those rare occasions where the house ends up better than the photos! Everything in the house was top quality, from the appliances to the bedding. Extremely comfortable, crispy clean, very very roomy with two seperate lounges, a funky garden and beautiful view. Very kid friendly with games etc provided, a huge grassy yard the kids could play on and the bath/spa was a hit. A stones throw from everything, close to the beach. Only regret was we didn't stay longer. We will definitely be back. My new favourite place in the world is Binalong Bay.

Great views, outstanding location and gorgeous property
We spent 4 wonderful nights in this property and were so thrilled we chose it. We were a family of 3 with both sets of parents with us. This property has several different living and entertaining areas to allow for a bit of privacy or just 'alone time' during the stay. It was a great idea and saved everyone's sanity!!!. The property itself was clean and well equipped with every mod con. We had a small issue with the water pump but Jan and a Rob made fixing it a priority and nothing seemed to be too much of a bother for them. It was a short 5-10 minute walk to the beach but uphill all the way home...only a 1 minute drive though!! Would definitely recommend this place for families. Heaps of space!!!!
