This lovely beach house is set on a large private bush block, 3 km north of Binalong Bay and adjoining the Bay of Fires Coastal Reserve. It enjoys panoramic sea views from upstairs living areas and the large private deck and is surrounded by beautiful, native bush full of the wildflowers in spring and providing an ideal habitat for many species of birds and animals, especially the rare yellow-tailed black cockatoo and sea eagles. It is very close to the end of the recently opened Swimcart lagoon mountain bike trail. The house is light, sunny and warm throughout the year with uninterrupted northern sun during the day. It is very well set up for holidays or extended stays with quality fittings, a very well equipped kitchen complete with espresso machine, sharp knives and everything a serious cook might need. There is a leather modular setting with rugs and cushions as well as a large window seat perfect for curling up on in front of the fire or just admiring the panoramic views to the north. There are 2 wood combustion heaters , a modern Scandinavian one upstairs with glass doors and another downstairs which keep the house warm and comfortable. There is also a recently installed large electric heating /cooling system. From a large, sunny, upstairs deck complete with a gas fired barbecue and outdoor dining setting there are extensive views to the north and east of the Bay of Fires Coastal Reserve and Pacific Ocean.
The house is a 5 minute drive or a 45 minute walk along the beach from Binalong Bay with its bistro/restaurant which is open all day from breakfast to dinner. Of the two bedrooms upstairs one is a recently built, architect designed master bedroom with large picture window and panoramic view with a very comfortable queen size bed, the other has a very good double bed. There is a beautiful upstairs bathroom. Downstairs there is a bunk room which has a double bed on the bottom and single on the top as well as a shower room, toilet and laundry. There is also a table tennis table set up downstairs. Outside there is a wood bbq and a fire pit for those who enjoy sitting round a camp fire. Jeanneret Beach is a generally safe, beautiful swimming and snorkelling beach about 3 minutes walk away or the wilder surf beach directly in front of the house is accessed by a path through the coastal reserve.
The house adjoins the world famous Bay of Fires Coastal Reserve north of Binalong Bay and is surrounded by beautiful original native vegetation. The swimming is wonderful with the dazzling white beaches and very clear blue water. A variety of beaches lets you decide if you want surf or flat water. There is a huge diversity of fish in the kelp beds just off the granite rocks on the headlands. The snorkelling is excellent. The area is ideal for boating or kayaking and we have often kayaked with dolphins just in front of the house. We have also seen whales in May, June and September mostly as they come and go from Antarctica. There is a pair of sea eagles that nest nearby and these can usually be seen each day.

The accomodation was well set up, the fireplace was perfect, we have had a lovely , relaxing weekend.I intend to rebook this site for our next visit to St Helens, and have already promoted the site to family and friendsThankyou for a great weekend .
Close to two beautiful beaches which we preferred to the longer Bay of Fires. The house has a great wood fire that we used for our rainy afternoon. St Helens is a delightful town not far away and offers great food and coffee. Definitely one of our favourite places in our holiday.
Every thing we needed was there ,the veiws were great and we were visited by the paddymelons. The native garden and thee bush and ocean over the road were lovely walks. Inside, the fireplace made the rooms very cosy. We had a little problem with the door lock but it was attended too very quickly. The upstairs bathroom was a bit small but overall it was a great place to stay.
Absolutely stunning outlook from upstairs , spacious , everything one would need in the kitchen , just the thing for our short getaway , amazing location to all bay of fires beaches and Binalong bay
Our multigenerational family stay (5A, 2C) at the Beach House was wonderful. From the moment we arrived the views and peaceful setting were just as we had imagined. This isn't a new house but the living room is cozy, the bedrooms comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed meals around the big table, games of table tennis and toasting marshmallows over the fire pit. The beautiful beach was a short walk through the scrub, or drive down the road. Hosts provided helpful information about the house and local tips. We'd love to return again in future!

We appreciated the feedback initial contact with the host regarding the potential power outage due to the storms.Extra cleaning of the wood heater, floors, some of the dishes, dusty surfaces and cobwebs before our arrival would have been good. We also had to put sheets on 2 of the beds ourselves which was inconvenient. A few broken chairs in the main area.Other than that we had a lovely stay in the spacious house. Enjoying the pingpong table, heating options, balcony, location and views.
We loved how the Garden road Beach house is situated in an idea spot close to some beautiful beaches and sights as we spent a lot of time on the beach and kayaking the lagoons in the area .
We arrived on a day that was 30 degrees the house being 2 story and gets the all day sun it was like an oven inside ..The was only an Air con down stairs I don’t know why because it was no help as all the living area was up stairs ..
There was not any blinds on the windows to close if we went out through the day to even keep the heat out …
We could not get the main bedroom window open to allow for any breeze of a night to make it comfortable to sleep .
These couple of things really need looking at as we sat of an evening very uncomfortable with the heat some nights .
Apart from those issues the house and setting is just lovely .
This property was in the perfect location to access the Bay of Fires magnificent beaches. The house was beautiful and clean with everything there. I’d definitely stay here again!
Fantastic house to stay! Beautiful view and very comfortable. Close to Binalong Bay and St Helen’s. Great communication with host and easy instructions. Everything there we needed.
The house had a beautiful feel. Lots of space and perfect for relaxing and taking in the views. It is also perfectly situated for access to the beach and walking. The kitchen was well equipped and the coffee machine and coffee were a welcome bonus. We loved it and we’re sorry to leave.
Lovely roomy house in an amazing location, we loved cooking on the outdoor fire pit and enjoying some wild weather while cosy inside on the window seat. The house was well equipped, would love to stay again.
